I agree with both mur and lemons, we are losing a bit of the forum-ness. But all people in gaia are just human. I promise we aren't robots. Thus making mistakes comes along with it. At least some dev's in gaia admit they do make some mistakes, we have to credit them for that.

They are trying to make it up, but its not going to be easy, at least from what I can tell.

Sara, for many people it was a mix of the two. For me it was neat items, anime and roleplay but anymore, Gaia just doesn't seem like its listening to its users and those who have actual valid complaints are either told to shut up and leave or deal with it. When did giving feedback warrant such bad behavior? Anyway, Alot of people are actually defending the mods and devs, Hell, I don't know how hard it is to be a mod/dev. on a sight like this but I wish they and by they, I mean the people higher ups would start treating users with some respect. Also, is it a glitch or something that I'm having guilds show up on my list, even though majority of them I didn't even join?

I do wish they hadn't played with PMs though. It's just... terrible. The old version was much easier on the eyes, took up less space, and the spacing wasn't so funky that it screwed up my web pages. ;=;

I'm really starting to worry about gaia. To sound immature I blew my top when I saw the inbox and the Pm sponsor. In fact I can;t send my rp links because it would seperate it. I normally come to gaia to escape my life and enter my rp's. However, with all these changes I'm not even sure if staying here to rp is worth it.

During the summer a bunch of people would post some very disgusting pics on my rp's. I remeber getting a call from my buddy at four in the morning telling me to get rid of this post. I get on and its some of the porn only your friends would talk about and never go to. Things like tug girl, and....lemon party.....Not only strange porn but pics of people dead, organs, things that no one wants to see. I delete it and I'm sure it was the same guy, but he Pmed me using my Pm title for the rp. I open my rps and its the same crap from the night before. I knew reporting him wasn't going to do much, but stuff like that should be watched. I really can't blame anyone but the people who do that kinda stuff. I can't blame the Admins because I'm sure tons of people do that crap everywhere and you can;t always catch it. I'm not going to say stuff like, oh the admins suck and they don't care what goes on, because thats not true. SaraWhiteWolf is a great example of how they care. She takes her time out to post here, not many Admins do that.

But getting on track, I do have a question. All these changes have been shot out at us really fast to a point most of my friendslist left. What can we see gaia like in two or maybe five years? The new members now are a nightmare, and whats to say the generation after the new users are even worse. There is cybering all over the place, I actually went to towns to confirm that rumor. I was offered it four times in one night. Thats annoying and I realize why people get upset about that.

Anyways I forgot what else I was about to say sweatdrop So I'm going to quit while I'm ahead.

That's terrible. You should report him, even if it doesn't end up getting anywhere; you should at least try. Some people can be so disgusting.

I got replies to some of the reports I wrote as late as six months after the report was written. In the bigger forums like Barton, the mods are WAY behind. x_x
I suggest RPing in a guild. I know they're pricey to set up, but you get so much privacy, it's wonderful.

Most of my friendslist is gone too. Most of the threads on my subs list are either dead or dying also. It's depressing, but I think that lots of the older users are just getting fed up with what gaia has been doing, and just not bothering to come on anymore. I know I don't come on nearly as much as I used to.

I know a few mods that care, umaeril, terradi, and an admin named dri. You can report to them, they will help you. Don't forget the block button is there as well. Just in case. Take screen shots of people asking to cyber, or anything you know that is against the gaia ToS.

You know a lot of users think the mods and all don't really work, but we do, honestly we do. There is more users then there are mods, I agree their should be more, but time will tell if new ones will be added. I have noticed at least in my forum there are new mods, perhaps there are in other forums as well.

Also the new generation of gaia, doesn't, and I am going to be bluntly honest here, get the same welcome party as any older user might have gotten in their early days. A lot, and I mean a LOT of welcome regs are really rude to most newbies. Ok so they make a mistake, it needs to be properly corrected and not being yelled at. Cause that never helps anythings.

I pressed that stupid button so many times I see it completely useless. People like him have tons of accounts and an IP scrambler so you can't pin point their location. And I have another complaint. This whole security thing, um how will that help? If you get hacked they know everything, your password, your email, obviously username. This won't change a thing, in fact it is by far the lamest way to cut down on hacking. I hated the feed and I hated the layout. Honestly I'm begining to question why I continue to go on this site. I know protesting everything won't change a thing. In fact I doubt any of the gaia staff has any power to stop this insanity.

I do think I know how we can cut a lot of users that could care less about gaia. change everything to be like an anime site again. Again a lot of people here do not like anime. Yes I was one of the many victims that was attacked(( Kinda)) for liking anime. Also making refferance to a girl on this((or another can't remeber)) She was constantly attacked for being a furry. When she started there was people that could relate to her, now all she hears is people saying Yiff in Hell Furfag or they would call her a Cub ********. Thats unacceptable. Excuse my language but this is the kind of s**t that should be discouraged oh a PG-13 site.

I remember when I first joined this site. My best friend Got into it and soon introduce me to it saying "It's a site for people that love (or at least have a slight interest) in anime can come to and make other likeminded friends." I thought that was amazing since "MySpace", "Face book", and "Tagged" were all (mostly) for the popular kids to hang out on. So I decided to try it out and love it after a few weeks of exploring. I've even met some people on here that I hope to stay friends with for the rest of my life. I used to support the site by buying up multiple Donation letters (that's what they were called at the time) so I could get multiple copies of my favorite items and maybe sell one or two to help me buy a previous MC, because up until last year all the MC's were awesome and totally worth the $2.50 I pained for it. I can't even justify buying the new monthly collectables anymore, it seems to me that there isn't the same amount of effort going into them as there used to be... Lately, in the past few months, the site has changed so drastically that I hardly recognized it from when I first joined.... I mean I can't think of anything that is the same from back then. It has even started to attract the most annoying people (I'm assuming from all the ads it's putting out over the internet), most of them coming to cyber or just bash people here... I haven't made any new friends on here in months... and the few great friends I did have on here are all leaving which makes me sad. And all the new pay features on here are a bit much, yes I know you have to make money to pay your employees, and keep the site running, but making users pay actual money for fish that will just die later is ridiculous! I thought the cash shop was a nice idea at first too until all the good items started to cost $10. I know a lot of people on here that have to scrounge up the $2.50 for monthly collectables so there is no way they can afford that! Those items just helped the rich get richer because they bought a few of those items and sold them in the Market place (which is also broken... but I won't go into it...). It has even come to me getting mad at this site on a daily basis... every time I log on there is a new completely useless or unnecessary feature staring me in the face! (Such as the labeler, which I forgot about until reading this post) The only real reason I get on any more is out of habit of logging on here everyday... and the fact that I have wasted so much time and money into this site to just leave it. I sincerely hope you can make this site at least a little like it used to be before a multitude of people get fed up and just take off.

*sighs* I think they are trying to make our accounts a bit safer, that way if our password does change, it will be sent our emails, we will know about it. If it comes up later, we can go back and have it later. *shrugs*

*pouts at the language* Sadly, I know the feeling for you and your friend. All I can say is just keep reporting and then placing the people on your ignore list. Good friends show up rarely, they are treasures. It should be, but now there are way to many trollers/flamers any more, its really not funny. They only encourage each other. Either way it doesn't help, I know. I have over 40 people on my ignore list. So yeah it does help.

Thanks for the offer Sara. Luckily I have to deal with morons each day so trollers/flamers don;t bother me nearly as much anymore. I'm normally really laid back, or lazy as many out me so I just delete and move on. However, some days I do lose my cool and go on a berserk rampage. I remeber two years ago I came up with a strange mix rp. Some dude went on there and said all this crap saying it was stupid and I must be insane. Not only did I delete it, I took a personal offense to that. I put a lot of thought into my mix rp's and I don't take stupid comments like that lightly. Yes I have extremely stupid ideas at times, but I only have those at home or when I'm with my friends. But honestly some things need to be kept to themselves.

But anyways, I decided to bring back one of my old threads, My old Sega fan thread. I got a lot of really good things, and a lot of fanboy attacks. I am fully prepared for these things but after a while. You know you just say I don't care anymore and I move on. I do have fanboy wars all the time and I take maybe 2 or 3 of them seriously. But I think you get my point. I'm ranting again lol, shutting up now sweatdrop

I have to rant about the new PMing system too. I see that you can "text" people over the computer because Verizon is sponsoring it. That concerns me greatly. My concern is that someone that I don't know could text me and track down my number. I thought that this was supposed to be a "safe" website for extroverted [or introverted] people and anime lovers alike. But now I am fearful to look and see who may text me next!

Another thing that I need to rant about is the Gaia Cash Shop. Now while that may be a success upon Gaia's part, I seriously think you should lower the prices. Not to mention, I live in America, as does the Gaia office, we're in an EXTREMELY bad economic state right now. Not many people have the money to buy virtual items. Now while we could just use the Marketplace for all of this, think about how greedy other users can be! I'd have to sell ALL of my Monthly Collectibles to get ONE Alruna's Rose!

Also, the Aquarium? I see no point in having that. It's just more stuff to add on the menu bar of the My Gaia landing page. And the fish stuff, I found out recently, can only be bought with gaia CASH! Why in the world is it in the regular shops page? It misleads and it disappoints not to mention it pisses me off! It's just another scam to get more cash.

OH! And the My Gaia landing page! I ALMOST forgot! I was part of the petition about it looking like Facebook. [Admit it, it does!] I even have a Facebook account and compared the two. The only difference is that we have our houses and cars posted. Why Gaia? Wow, that gets asked a lot. But it's true! Why edit the My Gaia landing page? It doesn't make it any easier for new users to use it. I even have some friends who are new to this site and still get stressed out over it! I think if anything, you should make it optional! When I say that, I mean make it so you can either have the old My Gaia landing page or the Facebook wanna-be one.

I've only been on Gaia for a little over a year and things have changed right in front of my eyes. I mean I barely see a lot of the anime influence anymore! Please, just stop editing Gaia and fix what needs to be fixed and make us all happy!
