Welcome to Gaia! ::

Thee: You said SEVERAL times that she was "just bitching."

Uhh, no. I didn't. I said one time that she was like "the typical rich, spoiled brat on Gaia who does nothing but b***h, b***h, b***h."

Oh really?

[ .NK. ]

Quote:
But you are bitching. Even in your suggestions you're bitching. b***h, b***h, b***h.

That pretty much says "nothing but bitching". Just saying.

And then you directly compared her to a character who was being a monstrous b***h on a rampage.

So, um, yeah. Have some accountability.

Perhaps that wouldn't happen if you argued with thought-out points rather than personal attacks.

I have read it, and I'm still just as confused. :3

I have to be honest. You're just confusing the hell out of me at this point. One minute you're arguing against the OP, the next it's supposedly something completely different.

Well, you're just stupid then. I'm on the defense right now, so I'm only going the places you guys are taking me.

Yeah? You are bitching. What's the problem?

I'm over this. I know what you're doing and it's not going to work. All you're doing is contradicting yourself and changing your argument every post.

You're just trying to piss us off, get us in trouble, etc., and it's not going to work.

And on that note, I'm going to go play C&C Renegade. :] Be back in a few, guys.

That's the character I was referring to in the first ******** place (so it does not count twice). I had to go and find the comic-strip to reference in order to get it through your thick ******** skulls! Oh my GOD, you people are ******** stupid. The whole Nitemare Scarf thing was just a side note little poke. YOU'RE the ones who kept friggin' goin' with it, and dwelling on it. rofl

Maybe if you brought up your ******** valid points that you say I need bring up so much, instead talking about the frikkin' Nitemare Scarf comment all day, this wouldn't have happened.
NK: However, if you block him, he can't post in any thread of yours anymore. :'D

I'm a bit sick of him COMPLETELY contradicting himself every other post.

Sorry, this has to be said.

Circular argument - where you say that something is true because it's true. Like:

Quote:
But you are bitching. Even in your suggestions you're bitching. b***h, b***h, b***h.

And

Quote:
Yeah? You are bitching.

At what point have we been bitching, and define bitching.

Anyway, sounds good, NK, see you soon!

At what point have we been bitching, and define bitching.

*sigh*... I'll let the quotes speak for themselves:

.NK.
- You promised us repeatedly that the battle system (I refuse to call it zOMG because that's the dumbest ******** name I've ever heard) would be out by ______. You've reached the deadline again and it's still not out. Now what's the deadline that you most certainly won't miss?

.NK.
- You promised us that the battle system would be free. But it's not, and it won't be. There will be premium items that make you/the experience better, I can guarantee it.

.NK.
Stop lying to us. We're smarter than you think we are. We have feelings, and we're sick of them not mattering to you. You're like an abusive boyfriend that we just can't leave cause he sexes good.
(Sorry, had to have that little bit of humor in an otherwise bitchy thread.)

Hmmm... she even admits it, yet I'm such a s**t for pointing it out.

.NK.
Gaia clearly doesn't care about its users anymore, instead opting for whatever makes them more money.

And especially looking at that last quote, does it not mirror any similarities at all to that comic-strip? Hmmm.

And would you say that she's even being 'mature' in some of these quotes? I wouldn't. Not that I care, because I don't consider myself mature at all. But obviously, you guys consider yourselves mature. That's why I've been dismissed as a troll, I guess. Whatever.
I have no interest in spending all day reading this thread. I will say that I have been on Gaia since mid-2005, and I am both disappointed and disgusted by the "progress" of this site.

I don't give a damn about the battle system or the fish tanks. I already play one MMO, I don't need another. The fish tanks are a silly idea. If I wanted a tank I would buy a real one. I'm 25 years old, I can afford my own real fish. I am sure as hell not paying for virtual ones with a soaring mortality rate. I don't mind if other people want a virtual tank, more power to them if they wish to spend money on it.

What pisses me off is the assumption that the users are too stupid to see what's going on. By all means, believe that everyone is too young or naive to read between the lines. Those of us who have experienced this sort of tactic in the real world know better. The quality of your Monthly Collectibles has been steadily declining with the release of more and more Evolving Items. Blame whatever you want, but it's a clear marketing maneuver to make the cheaper items less desirable, and the more expensive (what 13 year old can shell out $9.99 for a damn star?) items flow into the economy faster. That's clearly what you're doing, so have enough respect for your patrons to come right out and say it. Recent Collectibles have been pathetic. Setting aside the issue of a bajillion poses for a moment, let's consider the shoddy graphics and lack of creativity. We know you well, Gaia. We know what you're capable of, and we know your usual standards. That release did not live up to them.

I believe that this site costs more to run than it brings in. However that, to me, is a clear sign of a poorly run business. If you cannot make enough to justify new expenditures, why the hell are you creating new expenditures? Every feature costs money to develop and maintain. The ones that fail or do not produce a sufficient profit are a drain on your currently available resources and therefore a poor investment of both time and money. If money has been the issue for some time it shouldn't have taken you so long to introduce systems that bring in a profit. Stop wasting your time on pointless crap and develop a clear plan to make Gaia worthwhile to both yourselves and the users. I don't mean to be crass but quit dicking around and grow some focus. Gaia has been an ADHD six year old for a while now. You're announcing new features and systems and sponsorship and events and whatever faster than your patrons can blink, and you're lucky if most of them launch without having to be taken offline three hours later. Have you not yet noticed how many people are on this site? Foresight, get some. Now half of those aren't money-making ventures. Clearly the biggest problem facing Gaia is a lack of profit--don't claim it's anything else if the site costs money to run. That should be your first and foremost focus. The users, the patrons, are obviously loyal. Get your act together.

You know, I don't agree with everything this person says, but she makes a hell of a lot more valid points than the OP ever did (bitching about new features (which, by the way, also mirrors the comic-strip) like Gaia IM; a feature I do like). 3nodding The Monthly Collectibles have been pretty s**t lately, and the focus on Cash Shop is obviously responsible.

I've been reading for 3 hours and 39 minutes now XD

There's a lot of good points in here. But I've yet to find a workable compromise. I simply don't think we'll see much site improvement until Gaia is profitable.

…Right now I have this inner conflict in my head. D: Having been a member since 04’ (This is my second account. Arg. ) the damage I’ve seen done is truly heartbreaking. Yet-- everything’s too serious *cue Joker from Dark Knight* While I openly support the fact that the CS items are becoming outrageous, and their advertising it in a manner that gives me the impression of:

“Haha! We have this brand new item that will grow into a BIG mythical creature-- because a lot of Gaians adore fantasy! We won’t say what creature, but we’ll use your eager desire to see have said creature and make it ridiculously expensive! That way you can boil in your envy of not being able to have it until it burns and grows and you either cave in or suffer.”

-- …Wow, typing that out made me loose my punch line. Irk. D: No wait! Ahem. “Everything good eventually comes to an end becomes overrun by younger generations and morphed into something for the younger generation then that of the older, so the older generation is left sobbing in the rain..

Example?

Poke`mon. I used to be CRAZY about it. I kept up on the anime (enough so that I almost literally got queasy at the thought of having to hear Team Rocket’s little ‘prepare for trouble!’ intro ) and the games (stopped at sapphire), and now it’s all about catching legendary‘s?! The hell? TOO MANY. And most the pokemon of the BRAND NEWer generation look so…weird.

I have another one-- but its more of a forum thing that none of you would know unless you’re an A.O.Wer-- which I doubt. O.o; If you are-- you are loved.

..So..getting back on track. In time, things change. And they never change for the best. Like the 90’s. BACK WHEN TWENTY DOLLARS COULD FILL A GAS TANK. …And when I didn’t have the internets to keep me from going outside once in a while. >>; Gaia is an example for us older members. We grow old, and eventually have newer members replace us. Some of us die hard fans remain to reminisce about the ’good old days’ and try to strike back….and.. Where am I going with this? D: Damn you, lack of sleep!

But the one thing that’s really important (to me) in this odd paragraph?

What happens when the generation of cyber n00bs grow up and are replaced with things worse then them? Hell, that’s a scary thought.. BUT. Gaia is SUPPOSED to be “An Anime Roleplaying site”. When I first joined, I thought I was in paradise! Wtf happened? O_o Now whenever I want to roleplay, I have people asking me to NOT post so much o_o Well excuse me for enjoying writing!

…I think I’m done. -nod-

Amen. Power to the literate who can write extensive posts! Power to the writer who can compose articulate thought on a page! Power to the reader who enjoy's reading the text given to them from the hands of the crafter. Amen to the people who can play their favorite character with spot on precision!

Nay, be you young n00b's of current generations. To lazy or illiterate enough to read more than five lines of actual words. Nay, be to you who fails at English comprehnsion. Nay, be to you who wishes for easier rp's. Rp's are meant for the creative person whom takes their time and posts well written thoughtful posts that are not all action. Death to you who put text speak in your posts! Thats not even right for you phone!!!!

Like WerePantheress said when I'm aked to shorten up my posts because of the n00b count, I get irked. Then when they wnat me to do long posts I have to dredge up a response for three or four 5 liners, that leave me going "what on earth?" Gaia's gone to hell since I joined in 06.

Magical Loiterer

Stranger, I'm going to have to ask that you leave now, you have made your point, you argued to defend it, which is fine, however you seem to be doing nothing now other then trying to rile up people here. You have made your point, there is no reason to stick around, you are just trying to cause trouble now by throwing insults at people.

I'd like to point out that those are the exact same points that the OP made, and the only difference is wording.

Also, NK, Simone never PM'd me back if you want to try PMing her.
Yeah well, I don't go on here very often and when I do I have fun. I guess I really don't care about the stupid gaming system. It would be nice, but honestly, that isn't why I joined. I just like to play with my avi. But I do agree that zOMG is a REALLY STUPID NAME! I had a much better one and they didn't even acknowledge that it was good or anything. It would have been nice to get like 25 gold for the entry or something instead, they just ignore you and give you nothing. A bit of an emotional rip off to say the least. mad

Also, I have to agree that the monthly collectibles are pretty shitty lately and the cash shop stuff is way too expensive. I am not paying $5.00 for some stupid Halloween thing I can only use once a year and it is way too expensive. Not to mention they did this whole fish tank thing and you have to use cash not gold. That is a real rip off! I don't like the new changes if it means having to spend cash and not the gold I work so hard to get. This place is becoming a rip off. I have to agree and not spend anymore on cash and see what they say.

Er, I rather we stay literate and use big words and longer sentences. We shouldn't have to "dumb down" so they understand us - they're not five. If they're surrounded by literacy maybe eventually they'll grow up and become smarter. If they ask you to shorten your post just ignore them. sad

I'm not bitching at you, sorry it sounds sorta that way. I'm just fed up with all these text talk on Gaia. I joined in 07 but it wasn't that bad even then. I at least went on some forums besides site feedback. sad
