The boycott will not return Gaia to its "Glory"

Your preception of glory is an opinion, like anything else.
If you go down with this boycott, then you wont only ******** up Gaia but you will ******** up people who just want to enjoy the game.

You say you want to help gaia?
Yet this boycott is no help to no one.

Boycotting for one or two days will not "******** up" anyone or anything.
No one ever said that the boycotting will return Gaia to its "glory." As a matter of fact I said a few posts ago that we know this won't change anything right away. We just want real answers. Some developers are posting on this thread, yes, and I thank them for it - but one dev's information conflicts with another, conflicts with another. What I'm hoping to get is an announcement, maybe, or something really official explaining exactly what is going on. Many of us feel that, for example, the evolving items are exponentially better than the MCs lately; the MMO is under development and is taking a while (understandable) and we just want an update on what they're working on now, how things are going, etc.; the developers are busy, yes, but can't they take a break from say, creating evolving items to do an event?
People can still come onto Gaia during the boycott. We're not shutting down the whole site, here.
And its people that use such a foul tone, like you, that make the forums less enjoyable.
If Gaia is forum-centered and people like you are making the forums less enjoyable, isn't that making Gaia less enjoyable?

If Gaia is hurting as bad as they say they are (they have a monthly loss of .5 million, which would be a yearly loss of 6 million), then two days of no users honestly isn't going to make things much worse. I don't think that the people who do buy from gaia are buying every day.. actually, I can't think of a single business where two days of no sales would hurt them. Well, it might hurt, but theres no way they'd go out of business because of it.

You know, if you're really worried about this boycott of ours, you could always buy some evolving items to help them out.

You know, giving us the fish from Daily Chance is kind of nice, I have a full Fishtank due to that, but I still don't think they should have the shop CS only, I doubt they will ever change it though. : (

I agree, this morning I shockingly got another Goldfish and a really strange item that I have no clue what it is for from the clam.

I haven't used the drop down menu yet, hopefully they aren't glitching majorly.

Also, It's ironic someone mentioned an EI for the Halloween event item...its now for sale in guess where. The Cash Shop! gonk

That's why I asked. I saw it in the announcement and thought "Hey, why can't we non-cash users get one too as a reward for the Halloween events?" I don't mean something super cool like the SHop ones, but why not a tiny egg that evolves into a bat, or a spider with two or three different poses over the span of the event or something?

Gaia is in trouble big time, yes, and I will still do the boycott, yes.

However there are several points I'd like to make:
1) The Cash Shop Items are SO MUCH. You buy a 25 dollar cash card and get, what, 2 or 3 items?
2) The MCs/EIs. I'm the first to say the MCs need a little more effort. Back when it was just MCs, they only cost two-fifty and I'm sure many people bought them. And they didn't even EVOLVE!! Imagine if the EIs were so cheap. Or maybe not so cheap, but maybe like.... well not $5 and up. Imagine how many of us would buy them then? Sure, the marketplace hounds who hoard them and sell them for tons of gold wouldn't make as much. But MCs still go for 10k-20k, roughly. And if they're all cheap, you can buy more. Thus sell more. Thus make more gold. Don't get me wrong! I LOVE the EIs. They're a wonderful idea. I'm just saying... they cost too much. Understandable, it seems that charge more = make more. But if you charge a lot and no one buys, or charge a little and everyone buys............. I think charging less could eventually be more profitable.
3) The Aquarium is probably the most discussed and debated problem in the forums, and all over Gaia. I have read people discussing having some fish be for sale in a regular shop for gold and some be for sale in the cash shop? Tremendous idea, I think. The ones you get in the daily chance are mostly or only gold fish right? Well I want something more colorful... maybe even just different colored, or shiny/sparkly fish. Also, why not let us keep some of the fish we catch in fishing?
4) The MMO. I'm super excited for the MMO, please understand (but I agree that the name zOMG is.... not to my liking) but the only thing I would ask for is

UPDATED. I think a lot of the problem with Gaia right now is not enough people know what is going on in the innerworkings of the site. If they released an announcement now and then saying, "Hey guys, right now we're working on x and y, and z is close to finished" or something along those lines, I'd be content.

We're being childish? Oh, wow, I really wish you could read your own posts and see how silly that sounds.

And picking up on the words that you use - it's called picking holes in your argument. There's no use argueing that the grass is purple if it isn't. And anyone in a debate will use it.

Also, at what point are we whining? To be honest, a majority of the members of this thread are making constructive comments and suggestions, which is more than I can say for you.

We discussed it as a means of gathering their attention for five minutes to tell them what we really want, and to offer suggestion and have them actually listen to those suggestions instead of ignoring them.

And most of us aren't whining, we're discussing suggestions and ways to improve Gaia, and we've even offered suggestions on how they can make more money without losing the Gaians who already give them money.

So why not make it something more interesting?
