_After spending the last embarrassingly long segment of my life plowing through the disgusting garbage bin of mostly filth that is Barton Town in an attempt to recruit people to my roleplay, I have realised just how many idiots are allowed to post a rp that's identical to the thread just above it. And what's more pathetic is how these identical rp's are not even based on anything remotely original or interesting, but instead upon effing twilight. Don't even try to deny it, people-who-made-a-vampire-thread, you would not have made said thread if Twilight had not been born. There is about 1% of original vampire threads out there, and I guarantee you, you are not that 1%.
_To everyone who's making a thread about Twilight, Naruto, Pokemon, and any other overused popular storyline, your thread could be swapped with at least a quarter of the other similar threads, and NOBODY would know, because they are IDENTICAL. There is only so much you can do in a set universe.
_When did slave and master rp's become so popular? That is quite frankly, sickening. You are willingly choosing to emulate slavery. It's not some fantasy world, the slave and master never fell in love, or whatever romanticised story you tell yourself to explain this perverse fascination. It was a sickening period of history where people where treated as goods, bought and sold. What's worse is it still exists, and here you are pretending to be in a fantasy world where slavery isn't so bad. I hope that one day, you meet a debt slave, and he freaking clubs you over the head for your ignorance.
_Penultimately, 1x1 rp's requesting a certain sexual preference... Why? Are you that lonely that you pretend to try a relationship? You can't even use the wondrous communication tool that is the internet to genuinely meet someone and try something, you instead head to Barton Town in order to rp some romance? RP'ing is an escape to some, yes, a chance to live somewhere more interesting, but this is just too far.
_Finally, Twilight is the worst thing to ever happen to literature. I have read the books, which is embarrassing to admit, but I can honestly say that they were not good. Nor were the awful, (except for the beyond-extremely-dissappointing ending to the fourth book, which involved a horde of awesome vampires, including an Avatar-element-controlling-didn't-belong-at-all Vampire all preparing to engage in an epic battle that would have made the tedium and angst of three and three/quarters novels worth it, only to have them all go, "ah, never mind, we'll all be friends instead." ) But they do not deserving the following they got, and definitely should not have inspired all the crap they did. Not only did they restart the crazy traditional vampire craze, these novels got everyone thinking that they could create their own unique vampire story like Meyer did. YOU CANNOT. SHE COULD NOT. It was unique-ish, yes, but it was not good.
Okay, I think that's all. As a side note, I realise that very few will read this. But I feel better now.
