What is the Gaian Item Library?

The Gaian Item Library was formed last September with the philosophy that all Gaians should be able to wear the items they want without gold being an issue. Our goal is to gather all equipable items on Gaia and allow people to borrow them for a bit, and then return them- just like a library.

We are not run for profit. All items are available for checkout for free. We run on donations, most of which so far have come from staff members. There is no fee to join our guild, as we believe items should be accessible to all dedicated, trustworthy Gaians. In order to protect our inventory for future Gaians, we have a system in place that allows people to gradually borrow items of more worth.

We keep very good, clear records of donations that find our way to us, and nothing equipable will ever be sold. Gold and non-equipable items will go towards expanding our inventory. Equipable items may be requested back at any time for any reason, as long as you have no items checked out and no late fees. See our explanation page for more details.

An explanation of how we are questing

As was metioned before, our Library is sorted into Levels. You can read more about Levels here.

Because of the vast amount of items we seek, we will begin by questing store items for Level One in small amounts, working our way backward. We will also quest for one high-level item separately. Each time we complete a quest, it will be added to the Completed Quests post and the Current Quest will be updated.

We're starting small, and it's likely you will have items we need sitting around in your inventory. We still don't have all the Starter sets. No donation is too small. Every bit helps!
