Welcome to Somnium!
Hi! I'm Eddie and I'll be your Charity Tour Guide!
I'm going to give you a quick walkthrough of the thread because there is A LOT of info to take in and that usually means you'll either go "TLDR" skim it and miss a lot, OR you'll try to read all of it at once and end up forgetting most of it. There is a really easy way to tackle it though if you break it down in sections and read a bit at a time depending on your needs, so that is what I'm going to do for you! Here's how I suggest that you get started:
Walkthrough-
FIRST read the rules if you haven't already!! Honestly this is pretty much the most important part, they are right above this post and they really shouldn't take you that long. :3
NEXT you want to decide why you are here!
xxxa) You want to apply for a donation.
xxxb) You want to get started right away on getting some quick gold.
xxxc) You woke up in this strange magical land and have no idea where you are.
if you answered A: You will want to visit the Donations Post to get an application. We give donations for:

xxx-Dream Avis
If you answered B (or don't qualify for a donation): You will want to visit the Contests Post or Games Post to see what games you can participate in today. :3
xxx-Helpful Hint: Don't try to remember all the rules for all the "Contests", just make sure you focus on the rules for the one you are entering.
xxx-Helpful Hint: The "Games" are more random so don't worry about memorizing them all either, you can always come back here and check the rules as they come up.

Contests-
So many fun and easy chances to win gold and items! These are our contests which require an entry and will usually be judged once a month.
•Seasonal Contest: 25 Days of Christmas!
How to enter: This is usually our biggest giveaway of the year! We start with a calendar and dates are raffled off, each day from December 1st until Christmas a big gift is given to whoever was assigned that date.
•Monthly Scavenger Hunt!
How to enter: Complete the scavenger hunt!
-Every month we will post five tasks which are to be completed in order in separate posts.
-When you successfully complete all five tasks your name will be added to a list. (Be careful of your image sizes, remember no page stretching!)
-At the end of the month we will do a random number gen to select two winners.
Tasks:

These are super quick little challenges that any member of the Somnium staff can host at any time on any day to give you a chance to win 1,000 gold. We will try to do at least one a week.
•ONIGIRI POST!!!:
This game is mostly to show your Somnium spirit. Whenever you see one of the staff members post this image of our cute little rice ball mascot be the first to say "Yay Onigiri!! We missed you!" to win 1k.
Onigiri posts will look somewhat similar to this, depending on who posts:

•Random Page Giveaway:
At any time one of us may use the random number generator to pick a page in the thread. We will donate 1k to anywhere from one to all of the people on that numbered page.

Somnium Rewards: Discount Item Shop!-
As you post in the thread more you will start to earn rewards points. The reward points can then be used to unlock the tiers of our reward shop in order to purchase an extremely discounted item!
These rewards can be given for anything from just being a regular for a certain amount of time, to donating to the charity, helping out a friend in the thread, or even just welcoming someone who is new... Pretty much anything that contributes to the well being of the charity in some way. Staff members can award points for basically anything they see fit, so as long as you're nice and helpful and stick around you'll be sure to rack them up. We will tally them up once a month, and post the scores in the main charity thread so you can see where you're at.

Q: You said you don't require us to post, but the rewards/discount item shop says the more we post the more points we will earn. Does this mean we do have a post count?
A: Absolutely not! The discount shop is just a way to reward the people who are active in the thread. All that means is if you are a regularly posting member you will eventually start to earn points for the good things you do. This has nothing to do with the numerical amount of posts you have, it's just the more you stick around the more chance you have. :3
