Introduction

Welcome to my quest thread! This is the place I use to keep track of what I'm currently questing for and how much gold I've got. Please feel free to stay and chat, or donate if you're feeling generous. I will draw art freebies of avatars I like and people who stick around for a while. About Machagirl

I am a not so little old lady with a passion for most things costuming. My primary hobby is making and wearing costumes, so naturally I want my avatar to wear costumes, too. I'm most well-known for my Star Wars costumes, especially my stormtrooper armor, but I also wear costumes from Fullmetal Alchemist, Odin Sphere, and Team Fortress 2. One of the cool things I do with my Star Wars costumes is volunteer with the 501st Legion (find out all about them here: click!). Some of the interesting things I've done are perform on stage with the National Symphony Orchestra and "Weird Al" Yankovic (not at the same time, although that would be all kinds of awesome), march in televised parades, and wander around the Smithsonian and other air and space museums in costume. I've also helped collect toys for Toys For Tots, visited sick kids and veterans in hospitals, and cheered on racers in various charity walks/runs. So far I've done 53 events, and I'm not stopping any time soon.

In addition to the costuming, I am a big fan of classic movies. By classic movies I mean things made before 1970, so lots of black and white and not interesting to most young people. I also love most things that have to do with science, so feel free to bring that up in conversation as well.

I studied theater production and English in college, but now I work for the family business selling things on eBay. We sell all kinds of random stuff, but the emphasis is on vintage items and collectibles.

The Quest

I have saved up for many items over the years, but only seriously quested for one thing. It was the human g corp labcoat, and it cost around 110k. Not so very much by today's standards, but that was a whole lot of gold back when I first joined. Now I'm working on various cosplay avatars (for the most part). I need to work on a King of All Cosmos avatar. When I get that done, I'll quest for that. In the meantime, I'm questing for various things on my wishlist, which can be found on my profile. I'm currently questing for the Valiska's Twilight Palace item. I was an ancient Egypt nerd when I was little girl. xd
