Problems Loading Flash Games? [Updated 12/7]

Updated 12/7:
Okay, we've made port 443 active for Towns now. If you have been having problems loading Towns, please try it again, and try the following zip codes:

- anything in the 1000 range (port 443)
- zip code 3435 (port 8080)

Let us know if Towns doesn't work for you for either of those zip codes. If these changes make flash games work better for people, we'll end up rolling them out to the rest of the games.

Can someone please try the following? Go to a command window and type:

telnet 208.85.93.176 8080

and see if you get a "connection refused."

Based on reports from a number of users, it looks like a number of people that have problems have port 8080 blocked, and we're not sure how many people it affects.

For fishing; Any of the 3 fishing areas I go to, I get redirected to the standard fishing link. This happens with firefox.

When did I start having these problems? The moment I attempted to go to Gaia Homes. (It never worked)
What Error message? It just doesn't load. There is no error message it just says that it'll open in a pop-up that never opens.

No messages, but it bogs down. My character will sit on the edge of the screen then jump around the screen back and forth before moving to the next screen. It can take several minutes for this to all finish. It's like Mega Lag or something. Hope this helps.

i mostly have problems with aquarium- booty grab and zOMG being super slow then not connecting

im having issue loading everything whether is vj rally towns zomg all the mini games
i have used explorer 8 and 9 beta, fire fox and this other one cant remember name
i started having issue the night when zOMG halloween event was released
when doing mini game or rally it send me error i need to reload at towns and if erro does a second time to send an email to gaia online for zOMG it says connecting to server bar stop halway and never connects

I have always had this issue and never have been able to load it/get into it.

No message. Every time I go to load it, no matter if I click "Find me a room", it manually select a room, it just stays on the "Loading" screen and I can hear the music.

i usually have problem with new game Tiles. When i first time turn it on (first time after turn pc on) it start download but stop and nothing happens i need then to turn it again on and it's going good. If i good remember i got same problem with some other game but forgot wchich one.

It's not really a problem per say, just a little bit of an annoyance - When I click on the link under the Games tab, the window comes up, but it looks like there's supposed to be an ad there or something. So I click off and reload it and it goes right to the game. This happens every time I play.

How can you know me...

I can't get into any of the games, rally, towns, VH, ect.
rally says I'm not logged in neutral
I can get in zOMG but I can't use the chat so that's pointless...
I don't have trouble with Booty Grab though. that works rather well.
I use FireFox. all my plugins are up to date.
I tried using Google Chrome too but that had the same result.
it's been like this for about a week or 2 for me. a little before trick or treating was in towns.
