I N T R O D U C T I O N
a pleasure to meet you

You stumble upon a small, homely looking shop with two wide windows and a wooden door with a small window on it.
At first glance it looks like a café of somekind, but if you look a bit more closely, you'll notice the the shop has only two tables- one surrounded by two armchairs and a little worn out couch, and the other stands between a potted plant and a lamp, it has a sign "Selling" placed upon it.
While you peer inside, you soon notice you're being stared back at by a pair of yellow eyes. A fairly small critter is blinking back at you, two long tails swaying from side to side.

We're late. I know.

December 8th

It's the Christmas Month and Karo isn't going to do anything?
WRONG!
Time to gather 'round the fire and bring your favourite fables, because December is the storytelling month for sure. Event scheduled to begin on the 15th
November 25th
Karo is drowning in work, we'll see if we get a Christmas event. xD
Karo also has a little ace of spades up her sleeve for those who can pay RL moneys, in case she managed to talk her silly boyfriend around. :neeeeenja:
September 4th
Karo has graduation exams.
End of story.

You must Obey

R U L E S
you follow?

#1. You must show respect towards other customers. We appreciate good manners.
#2. Never beg for a Temeo, this makes you seem childish. Surely you can wait until the next flatsale.
#3. Do not PM Karo about when Temeos become available. You-will-notice!
#4. Naturally you may not steal the art, the concept or anything else from the shop. We don't take kindly to thieves.
#5. Have the common courtesy and obey the TOS.

F A Q
understood?

Q: I want a Temeo, can you give me one?
A: Oh, I'd love to. But to be fair, you must wait for another change to buy it just like others.

Q: Do you do customs?

A: Nowadays I do. Not cosplays, though.

Q: Can I steal your art?

A: Please, do not. It would upset me.

Q: How many Temeos can one person own?
A: I've taken out the limitation of Temeo-owning. The more the merrier, right! Be sure to pay them equal attention, though, Temeos have overzealous tendencies.

Q: How many Temeos can I buy at once?
A: In a Flatsale, one. Only one, even if you were going to buy one for a friend and would want one yourself. If there are auctions for two or more Temeos, you can bid for as many as you want.

Q: I won an Auction, what do I do?
A: Easy, PM me with what would you like to name your Temeo and send me the money you had bid. I will get your new pet certificated soon after and you can fetch it from Pickups.

Q: Will there be info for Flatsales/Auctions/Raffles.

A: But there is already. o:

Q: How much are wilds, then?
A: 3k, simple as that. They require roleplay, keep in mind.

Q: Can I use a proxy?
A: Sure, as long as they remember to point out that they're proxying for you. I don't recommend using a proxy for auctions, though.

Q: I want to use some graphics for my Temeo's Journal, may I?
A: Sure, go ahead. As long as you remember to credit Karo for them, though. Otherwise I'll get mad at you and you face greylisting.

Freaky facts about Temeos

Temeos come in three stages. Regular Temeos will grow without further prompting.

User Image

The first stage
1 week to 2 weeks

The bottle. In this secure vial your Temeo will dwell in liquid form representing their coloration. In this stage your Temeo is able to let out hisses, bubble, and make the bottle tremble if they get highly upset with you. They are aware of the outside world and will develop a character in this stage, although it won't show until they emerge.

Second stage
1 week to 2 weeks

The Child. After a few days to a week, your Temeo will start to get noisier and eventually, will vaporize. You'll notice this from the abrupt heating of the bottle and a loud hiss. Young Temeos are playful and curious, and will pick up language at a phenomenal rate. They rarely rebel, as they see you as the leader with authority.

Third stage
forever, unless fed an Anthro Vial

The adult. From a week to two weeks, your little creature grows fast. He has now learned all the skills he needs in order to interact with you and others. They may start showing signs of rebellion, but Temeos are generally very loyal. And you can always bribe them with cookies.

Temeo's color does not determine their character!
For example, a Shadow Temeo is not instantly a lurky shadow dweller, they can just as well love daylight when they can play with other shadows.

User Image
Color Info

Temeos come in a great variety of colors, the basic colors are Sand, Ash, Shadow and Blood are most common.
Colors such as Fauna, Neon, Element and Special Edition are rarer, but occur occasionally.

Temeos whose coloration cannot be determined into any subcategory are simply Unknown.

Roleplaying!

Roleplaying is not required on Regular Temeos.
Keeping a journal is completely optional. Roleplaying and journals have a chance of leading into perks such as custom, one of a kind items for your pet, or even a new Temeo.

Important!
If you own a special Wild Temeo, roleplaying is required!
Your Temeo will only develop if you roleplay or post the required amount of Journal entries. We're sorry for the inconvinience, but this is how it goes and you should have been aware of this at the time you bought your Temeo.

The Fourth Stage

User ImageUser Image User ImageUser Image

Upon discovering a sleeping gene within the Temeos, Karo was able to prompt the last stage of their development with a special formula. The Anthro Stage offers a whole new array of actions the Temeos can perform-- such as becoming loyal housekeepers! Unless they're messy.

The anthro stage can only be activated by purchasing an ANTHRO VIAL at the Temeo Item Shop located in the Guild.
Anthro stage can only be activated for ADULT REGULAR TEMEOS OVER A MONTH OLD.

Anthro Temeos are able to breed, but only have one egg left in their tubes. This means a female can produce offspring only once. Twins occur at a 5% probability.

Clothes are not necessary, but the general public will tolerate your new biped friends better if you buy them a few clothes. From time to time Karo will offer special clothes that are either available only for a short while or come in a small quantity.

Anthro stage cannot be achieved through roleplay, UNLESS Karo decides that you somehow deserved it.

Growth Cycle for Natural Born Anthros

Baby
2 weeks

Was there ever a harder job than looking after a newborn? They eat, cry, poop, cry, sleep, cry and cry a little more. Good luck to the new parents!

Toddler
2 weeks
Only achieved through Breeding

Not only does it do all the previous things as a baby, but now it also MOVES AROUND! Toddlers get into all kinds of mayhem and throw massive tantrums. On the bright side, they're learning to talk and, yes, actually acknowledge they want more than just food, a fresh nappy and a snooze.

Child
4 weeks

Doesn't much differ from a human child. Temperament they've shown in earlier stages grows to be their dominant personality, which they develop further during this time.

Adult
Forever

Time to kick them away from the TV screen and get them to do some chores, or get a job, or maybe find a mate so it can ALL start over again!

Temeo Wilds

Upon my travels along the long forest paths of Duhla, a female Temeo, much more larger than the captive females, came up to me in need of help.
We agreed on co-operating. Their breeding grounds had been long ago ruined, and a Temeo must always return to her area to breed. Thus the pack had withered and nearly died in the eyes of their female leader.

Short set of Wild rules:

- Wilds require roleplaying in order to grow, an unactive wild will be passed on to a new foster parent after one warning.
- After the Wild Temeo reaches adulthood, it must be returned to Duhla and thus, be roleplayed along the pack.
- Each Wild masters one magical feature determined by Karo in their adult stage.
- Temeos are highly territorial. Co-operating between the two packs has proven impossible.

Oka Pack:

Nuikuru is the leader of the Oka pack, which reigns the eastern territory of Duhla. Oka is known to be peaceful and only consists of five members. Nuikuru, Meera and Tyven, the females. Pujo and Kenta, the males.
Any current children are more or less artificially made, though.

The Koru pack:

Koru pack is far more larger, and has been lately taking over new territories in the northern forest. Koru members are fiercely territorial, but cannot be labelled as "evil", they merely want to keep their area to themselves.
Little is known about this competing pack, as they tend to keep to their own business.

Wilds Growth Cycle:

User Image

1st stage - Pouch - 1-2 RP scenarios/Journal Entries
In this stage your little companion can't do much. They can make an occasional noise, from gurgling to small popping sounds, depending on their approach to what's going on outside the bottle. They can't see though, as the pouch's blocking their view. Upon vaporing, the pouch must be opened, or the poor fellow can't get out. Don't worry, wilds are more careful on their emerge, they only vaporize if you're withing hearing reach.

2nd stage - Child 3-5 RP scenarios/Journal Entries
It's time to teach your little ball of fluff some common sense. The poor thing can't talk too well at first, it may have gotten some vocabulary during pouch time, though. They learn quickly, and might rebel a little. Nothing a cookie couldn't fix! Better teach them some outdoor skills too, though, they are going to return to the wild, after all.

3rd stage - Adulthood - Unlimited
Well, it's about time.. You can keep your darling home for a little while, though, some repetition to their former lessons and whatnot, so they're prepared to leave the safety of the home. At this stage they return to Duhla to take part in pack life, being automatically members of the Oka pack of the East.
However, Temeos are allowed to form new packs. This is highly frowned upon, though, because they become competitors for hunting, breeding and living grounds.

Temeo Ranking system
Ranks are set by the Alpha Female

A Temeo pack is always under female reign. The Alpha female is a more significant character for the pack than the Alpha male, who will only take charge if the leading female has gone missing or died.

The Beta couple, usually consisting of a male and a female, even if not mated, are the ones who keep the order in the pack. If there are signs of mutiny, it's their job to either calm the situation, or if worse, banish the traitors. The Beta lead a guard-patrol on a daily basis. Temeos have few natural predators, Goliath Rats (Humongous rodent-like creatures which tend to snack on Temeos) being their biggest threat aside competing packs.

The Gamma couple
, usually a female and a male, take care of the hunting. It's their job to make sure everyone is fed, especially the young kits. Wild Temeo hunt for small mammals and birds, and are omnivores. If skilled climbers or swimmers, they're known to raid bird nests and catch fish in small streams.

The non-ranking members of the pack are under the Gamma and Beta individuals' command. They can be assigned tasks, like going on a hunt or participating the patrol.

The Omega is a shameful position, and is acquired by causing a mutiny towards the Alpha. While arguments with the other members are allowed, the alpha is to be respected properly. Omega is not a permanent rank.

Social Behaviour

Greeting
Wild Temeos greet one another-- despite their rank, with a deep bow of their head. This shows they trust each other, exposing the vulnerable top part of their neck. Closer pack members and mated couples are known for more affectionate greetings. They also bid farewell with a similar bow.

Submission
If faced with a dominant gesture, lower ranking Temeos, and those who don't wish to step up and cause a fight, will avert their eyes and bow their head low, so exposing the side of their neck. Dominant Temeo may still attack, but will not cause any damage. The behaviour is similar to that of canines.

Dominance
Higher ranking Temeos sometimes feel a need to remind others of their rank, such as when the loot from the day's hunt is being shared. They'll bristle their fur, give a snarl and stare directly at the Temeo they see is a threat, or isn't knowing and respecting their place. Temeos try to avoid conflict.

Socializing
Temeos of all ranks socialize, only the Alpha is held significant. Beta and Gamma are no different from non-ranking members when the situation is casual, their rank only step in when they're on their daily mission.
The unfortunate Omega are not allowed to socialize with the Alpha until they're deemed to have paid their dues.

Prey and Predators

Temeos are omnivores, meaning they'll eat anything from vegetation to meat. They prey on small mammals, reptilians and birds. Hunts are organized in a small group in order to bring home enough game for all.

Temeos have few natural predators. The only significant one being the Goliath Rat, a rodent the size of a bear. Goliath Rats inhabit the deeper, darker parts of the forest and prey on large mammals.
Other natural threats are competing packs.

Questions and Answers

Q: My Wild won't emerge from her/his bottle. :<
A: Maybe you should post another Journal entry? Not everyone gets their on the first entry.

Q: Now my Temeo isn't growing! D:
A: How about you participate in an interactive RP? Karo and her Wild, Nuikuru are always open. Or maybe look for other child Wild owners?

Q: My Temeo is an adult, but now what?
A: You're obliged to RP it with the pack. If you don't, I'll give you a warning. If you still refuse, your Temeo will be re-sold to a more dedicated owner.

Q: Karoish posted in my journal without permission!
A: As the shop owner and supervisor, I claim right to post in every journal. And you shouldn't complain. Show-owner posts mean that SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! and it's usually something good, like a growing, or a pixie, or maybe cake.

Q: I want to make my own pack and attack Oka/Koru pack, can I?

A: How unfortunate! D: Well, you're allowed to. Keep in mind all packs are always lead by a female, though. And attacking a superior pack might result in your onslaught. I'm still debating whether Wilds might die. If they do.. well. They're dead. For good.

Pixies -- the Companionship
User Image

General
Pixies inhabit every crook and corner, but are secretive creatures and have a habit of keeping to themselves. You might spot a faint glow here and there-- more commonly in Duhla.
There are four breeds of pixies common to the area. With any luck, they might befriend your Temeo.
This is a perk to roleplaying owners, as the only way to obtain a pixie is through roleplay. Karo awards pixies as she pleases.

Breeds

Lightbringer
The most common of the four, Lightbringers are small canine-like creatures with four transparent wings equivalent to those of a dragonfly. They are attracted to sweets and are found commonly in attics, kitchen cupboards and lush meadows. They're the best adapted to indoor life.

Dawndew
These mouse-like creatures have two sleek, transparent wings and a whiplike tail. They enjoy treestumps and rocks, so if you manage to obtain one, make sure you have a rock they can safely return to. Dawndews are only found near clear streams and rock formations. They mainly eat berries and dew.

Daysprite
Elusive and shy, Daysprites usually play in the sunny blotches in the forest. They leave behind small puffs of glittering smoke and a faint scent of cinnamon. The have long, fluffy tails that are easy to spot if they sit on a small branch. Daysprites will sprint into the foliage if startled and usually take a while to bond. Even when bonded they might give their owner a nasty n** every now and then.

Duskfox
Two-tailed Duskfoxes only come out when the daylight is fast fading. The glow in warm colors as they fly, and are rumoured to be more intelligent than the rest of the pixies. Even so, it won't matter much, since only few Wild Temeos seem to know how to communicate with these aetheral creatures. Duskfoxes stay in the darker areas of the forest and are shy to light.

Buns in the oven!

We all knew the day would come, our little ones are not so little anymore and they... *Gasp* Want to build up their own family! They grow so fast.
User Image
Well, anyway.
The breeding is very simple, as is the delivering as well.
Temeos breed like any other mammals, only difference is that they give birth to liquid that is quickly stored to keep the children together. The colors of the parents affect the offspring, resulting multiple color possibilities. The genetics are unclear, so we never can be sure what we're going to get. It could even be so that the genes of grandparents affect, too!
The Temeos must indeed have feelings for one another to get approval from Karo to breed. [This is showed through roleplay. You don't roleplay? That's too bad for you.]
The pregnancy takes up from 1 to 2 weeks to develop. Yes, Temeos can breed rapidly.
However, the mother is only capable of bringing 3 litters to the world.
ONLY ADULT TEMEOS MAY BREED! Keep this in mind. Children may start forming bonds, but breeding is absolutely a no-no.

Now, a quick check:

- Temeos have to know eachother, and care for one another through roleplay. Present 1 RP between the breeding pair to Karo to qualify.
- No, you don't have to roleplay the.. Uh.. Act itself. That is taken care of in private.
- Breeding will cost 4k, 2k from both owners.
- 1-5 bottles per litter, it's random.
- I will not be bribed to customize the colors.
- Pregnancy will take 1 to 2 weeks
- The owners of the parents' decide what to do with the litter, whether they want to give them away, auction them, sell them or keep them.

Pregnant Temeo ladies will go through ridiculous moodswings, so hide everything breakable.
Both parents need rest, the male only because they need to take all the blame of ruining the poor female's figure
It is good to feed the mother a lot of calcium and vitamins.
Chocolate will calm down even the fiercest of mothers.
Expecting Temeos need a "nest" to feel safe.

As per usual, if something's terribly unclear, PM me with a suitable subject.
[Ex. "Temeo Breeding", "Question about Temeos]"

About Wilds breeding:

The land has turned too dry for breeding and giving birth to young, different animals ruin the last efforts of the small pack. Maybe you can house a Wild and help them breed in captivity?

Wilds are lifemated, yet are only able to breed three times in their time of living.
They may give birth to a litter of 1-3 kits, after which the parents decide what to do with them. [Give away to someone, raise it themselves, give it for Karo to sell/auction/give away, hold a competition]
Breeding costs 6k, 3k from each side.

A word of warning:
Female Wilds get extremely sensitive during pregnancy, that lasts 2 weeks at best. It is good to supply the mother to be with plenty of shelter and comfort to not make her angry and stressed.
Male Temeos especially should be careful around the lady.
