Story

Back in 1839, the town was slightly larger with three small halmets surrounding it. The names of these Hamlets has however, been lost along with their actual whereabouts. Most of the town after 1902 had disappeared with no records as to what happened. Despite an obvious drop in the number of residence, no one was reported missing.

What is clear is the Town is no longer how it used to be. A Town that used to be tied closely with Withcraft and even rumours of satanic rituals. This may just have been due to some of the residence's athetist nature, but crime was at it's highest point in the year 1895 and stayed steady. This is all what records have been able to show us but give no inclination as to what happened to Spire Point to make it change so drastically into the quaint little town it is known for today.

The only possible ways to find out may be to dig around in the depths of Spire Point's Town Hall, deep within the archives where there could be some hope. However, that route would be unlikely as the Mayor himself keeps the only keep to the old archives and no one but authorised personnel are even allowed with the Halls itself. The only other clues that may be dug up would be that hidden in the confides of Hasting's Estate, found on the edge of the Town itself and somehow managed to keep in place after the disappearance of the small hamlets.

But despite enjoying 20 years of a quiet lifestyle, things are about to change once more for the little town of Spire Point, but for what exactly, only time will tell as a small yet strange Toy Shop opens along a quiet street.

NPCs

Esther

The strange young owner of The Blue Fairy. Strangely enough her appearance suits the title of the shop her face is quite unearthly. It's a shame she keeps it hidden always by the hood of her cloak and the dim light of the store. She barely hangs around the customers and only allows herself to be noticed when it is time for the customer to make a purchase, always gently handling the Toys she sells and offering advice for the buyers. Not much is actually known about this strange woman, but all she seems is a helpful, gentle seller of vintage toys.

Spire Point

The beautiful town of Spire Point is a picturesque small town found on the North East edge of Hollowshire. Known for it's wonderful landscape and close community, Spire Point is a sort after town for families and the elderly to settle down in. However it welcomes the youger generation and offers events and shopping facilities that bring in residences and tourists alike.

Let's not forget the many events that are held around the town as well. The annual Police ball allows residents to glam up and meet the police force that help keeps the streets of this little town clean and crime free. The Earl of Hollowshire holds many community events across the year and there is the Autumn festival held infront of the Town Hall for everyone to enjoy.


The Police Station

The local police station who employees seek to keep Spire Point in line and keep it a great place for all citizens to live. The only care about keeping the residents safe.



Park

A normal park that is pretty much a large field for walking the children and pets, and even has small play area featuring swings, slides and climbing frame. Has seen better days but good enough for the children of Spire Point to play in.



Town Hall

Where the Mayor works. As beautiful as the building may be, no one is currently allowed inside except it's employees.



Hastings Estate

Home of the Earl of Hollowshire, Arthur Hastings. Occasionally special events are held within the estate's grounds with the Earl himself hosting the parties.

General

I. Follow Gaia's Terms of Service: This should be obvious.
II. Do not steal any of the artwork or characters.
III. Do Not Harrass the Staff: This includes harrassing about flatsales, auctions or raffles, grow ups and can I get a pet questions. This will get you a minor infraction and be put on the Grey List. If actions continue you will be moved to Black List.
IV. Do not beg the staff for a child: This is looked down upon, first time it happens, Greylist. If it continues after that warning, you will be blacklisted from the shop.
V. Do not post in someone else's journal without permission: Minor infraction involving Greylisting. If it continues, blacklisting may be made possible.
VI. Treat everyone with respect / NO FIGHTING: This is a place of business and RP. It doesn't matter how much you dislike someone else on the thread, keep it to yourself while here. Rudeness and ignorance will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone, please take it to the staff (via pm), or PM the other person to work out your differences.
VII. Lets keep this place PG13: While the urge to RP out certain acts may/may not be there, please keep in mind Gaia's ToS. This is not allowed, and will be dealt with as the situation sites. Also, language falls under this section as well.
VIII. Rp is required: These are RP intensive children, and require a good deal of attention to grow and maintain. If you are incapable of this, perhaps another shop would be good for you.
IX. Each Guardian may only have one toy. There is a reason you were 'pulled' towards it.
X. PM's are to be sent to The Blue Fairy Mule account unless asked otherwise.

Roleplaying

I. You MUST RP! We don't expect you to be on everyday, but rp is required if you want to keep your Toy or for it to grow.
II. If you are unable to RP or post a journal, leave a note in the journal or PM TheBlueFairy!
III. You must prove your activity by posting in-thread atleast once every month. Keep being social.
IV. No God-modding. Despite your children will gain powers later in growth, they each have their own weaknesses as well and NONE is all powerful.
V. Please try to keep proper grammar and use spellcheck. We all slip up yes (uncluding ourselves) but we should all do our best.
VI. Stick to the main plot, this is important to your child's growth and how the story itself progresses.

Flatsales/Auctions

I. Flatsale prices for the Toys are 20k. This subject to change when the staff see fit.
II. All flatsales are RP prompt based. You will be required to provide a small character description also of your character within Spire Point or link to your quest.
III. You must write YOUR OWN answer to the prompt! No cheating by getting someone else to do it.
IV. You may only win ONE of the toys and ONE only. It gives everyone else a fair chance. You can try for multiple ones though.
V. If you already have a Toy child, you will not be allowed to enter.
VI. Items for Auctions will be taken at LMP, or lowest market place value.
VII. You will have to figure out your own bid.
VIII. You cannot retract your bid once you have placed it!
IX. No discouraging others or talking about funds on either! You will be given a warning if you seem to be doing so. Failing to comply will land you on the Blacklist.

Toys ::

A toy of some hidden power that you bought at The Blue Fairy. You feel as if you should take good care of this toy, even if it's only just... Well.. Toy. Best to keep it in a safe place, possibly somewhere that it's not looming over you in bed, after all, you feel as though it's always watching you, wither it has eyes or not.

Child ::

Something very strange has happened to the toy you had placed upon that shelf. It has turned into a child, and not an ordinary child at that. If you are careful not to freak out too much, you'll notice that the child seems to hold many of the characteristics of the toy it has replaced, making it hardly human at all and only holding characteristics of one.

Adolescents ::

Now that you have grown attached to your happy little surprise, the Toy Child turns into the dreaded teenager. Their appearance is somewhat more human like, though they still maintain most of the toy like qualities they held as a child. During the Toy child's puberty however, they begin to show certain qualities that make then truly different from the others and experience strange visions of their past lives.

Adult ::

By now you are used to the strange being that is your Toy child. Now they have become an adult and now they look more like a normal human being with a few toy characteristics. Visions of the past still make them wonder who they really are and what had gone in the town, but they shouldn't care too much, there are more pressing things to work on. Their powers have become stable and it's time to think about work and a life outside of the family home. Perhaps raise a family of their own in the beautiful town of Spire Point.

The Broken::

Not all Toys within The Blue Fairy are all in good nick. Hidden away within battered chest, found in the darkest corner of the shop are the Broken toys. While this does not sound ominous and their is no particular reason to buy broken toys, the rare few find they are drawn to this chest to purchase one of the torn toys inside. They grow just the same as the regular Toy Children, but find themselves to be different from the others. Darkness eats away at their hearts and twists them into something different. Through good parenting what they become can be avoided but there will always be something off about their child.

Flatsales and auctions are way too pricey for me! How else can I get one?

One occasion we will hold certain events and contests, so there shall be more then one way to get yourself a toy.

How many toys and Guardians can I have?

Right now we are limiting them to 3. We hope that is enough for everyone.

How many of one type of each toy can there be?

Two of each type of two. Be we are talking about specific toys.
Example: Two baby dolls, Two Barbie dolls, Two Porcelain dolls, ect, ect.
These are all dolls, but a specific type.

Can my toy be a modern one or do we have to use older toys?

For now, you are limited to the vintage and older types of toys.

Does my toy have to be an animal or human?

No. It can be any type of toy you want. Trains, carriages, wagons, you name it. You are not restricted to anything that is a living thing.

What doe you mean by magic?

Each toy is magical and as they grow this magic passes over. When your toy grows to a child they obtain a magical ability, nothing super strong or complex, but something they can use.
Example: A toy train, when turned human, might be able to release smoke from their mouths. Just enough to make a small room harder to see in.

Can I have more than one toy for my Guardian?

No, each Guardian can only have one toy.

Do I have to Rp?

This shop is RP intensive, so yes, yes you will have to.

Do I have to keep a journal?

Journals allow us to keep tabs on who is active as well as allow you to make up a story of your own and develop your Toy's personality further.

How long does it take for them to grow?

That depends on your activity. See the RP rules for further details.

Do you take RL commissions for the Toys?

No. There will be no real money taken for breedables.

Flatsales

Flatsales are one of the most common way to obtain a toy and cost 20k. All flatsales are RP prompt based. You will also be required to provide a small description of your character within Spire Point during these. Once you have won a flatsale, send a trade to the mule within 48 hours.
Afterwards you must set up a quest journal to get your guardian and toy approved before Roleplaying the toy..

Auctions

Auctions will be reserved for special toys or custom/semi custom ones. Whoever bids the highest gets the toy. There is usually a -- minutes snipe guard set in place during each auction. Once you have won an auction, send a trade to the mule within 48 hours.

More information will be provided when an auction takes place. After you win, you must set up a quest journal to get your guardian and toy approved before Roleplaying the toy..

Special Events

Sometimes different events or games open up that allows a person to win a toy. This can either be for free or a set amount of gold. Each event will contain the rules and directions on how to play and win. Afterwards you must set up a quest journal to get your guardian and toy approved before Roleplaying the toy.

Bribes

Are pretty much the customs of this little shop. You have to wait for slots to open up. Here you will be trying to entice the artist to draw your quest or dream toy for a certain amount of gold. The amount you bribe is up to you but it is not guaranteed they will accept it. You must have an approved or almost complete quest to be eligible for a custom bribe.
