Fuzzy Slippers are not roleplay required! However, roleplaying can be both fun and profitable - repeated roleplay will allow your slipper to become an anthro or obtain a rare trait (angelic, demonic, fairy) without buying an expensive potion! Information on roleplaying rewards can be found
here.
Slippers have various limitations at various stages of life. As they grow, they can do more and more...
Slipper:
In slipper form, an enchanted slipper acts very much like a young kitten or puppy. They are curious, active, and often getting into trouble. They can only communicate in series of purrs, yips, meows, or growls. Slippers move by thumping their bodies along like hyperactive seals!
Rare traits, dragon slippers, and chicken slippers: A slipper with rare cannot fly at this stage - wings are solely a decorative concern, though they can be wriggled about in a cutely inept fashion.
Child:
At the second stage of development, the young fuzzies are beginning to become more aware of their surroundings. They cannot speak human languages, but they can speak to other Slippers. They are still very childlike, often teasing and testing the limits of their parents' rules. They are sensitive, and their feelings can easily be hurt. Child-stage slippers move as normal animals of their species would.
Rare traits, dragon slippers, and chicken slippers: The child slipper cannot yet fly, but he/she can glide!
Adult:
Adult slippers are fully grown! While they cannot speak human languages, they are just as intelligent as a human being. They can try to communicate to their human owners through meows/barks, and body language. Some rather bright Slippers can even learn to write a few words! Adult-stage slippers move as normal animals of their species would. They do not have opposable thumbs, but they may grasp objects in their mouths/beaks or clap them between their paws/claws.
Rare traits, dragon slippers, and chicken slippers: The adult slipper can fly! At long last!
Anthro:
When a slipper becomes an anthro, they gain the ability to speak in human languages - while retaining the ability to speak to their slipper friends. Learning how to read and write is difficult for them, but not impossible. They move as humans do, though they also have animalistic instincts related to their slipper species. They can manipulate objects with their hands as well.
Rare traits, dragon slippers, and chicken slippers: Flight capabilities increase; the anthro slipper can soar hundreds of feet in the air!
