08/04/2010 -- ALL old pets/familiars that were located in our PhotoBucket account have now been moved to our new OtherDrive account with NEW URLs found in the Owner's List. If you have any issues finding a particular pet of yours or if the new URL isn't working - please PM this account, Savah Arda, with the name of your pet, the URL that is used in your Owner's List line for it, and any other identifying information about the pet. I will PM you back a link to your cert if needed.

Shop Rules
- Do NOT steal -anything- from this shop!! It is copyrighted to the originators/creators.
- Be nice to one another and don't whine about anything.
- If you have any problems or questions, PM Savah Arda, the mule.
- If you're wanting to PM a particular staff member, add their name in the subject line of your PM.
- If some one is causing trouble in the thread it is not your place to resolve it. Contact a Staff member.
- If you happen to be having a disagreement with a staff member, PM Zsabrina directly.
- You may not sell your pets for any profit whatsoever.
- You are allowed to give your pet away for free.
- Rules subject to change at any time.
- Do NOT edit sale posts related to sales or pets.
- Do NOT edit game posts. Quote your old post to make revisions if necessary or just create a new post.
- Do NOT edit trades EVER. Trade editting does not allow for you to update your trade title - overpayments due to trade editting with erroneous titles will be accepted as a tip.
- Do NOT cancel and resend trades as a loophole to the above rule. This creates extra work on the staff and can result in your trade getting lost or unaccounted for.
- If you have a trade with one of our shop mules, you can send to one of our other accounts as long as you post in the shop indicating which mule is receiving your due trade.
- You may co-own with 1 other person. (2 total owners)
- ALL trades should be sent to this account, Savah Arda, unless otherwise specific based on the event/sale/thread.
- Please don't whine or complain about growings/pickups. Feel free to send a POLITE reminder if your growings are late by 2 weeks or more.
- Do not Spam in thread. What I consider Spam, Excessive Bumping, Page Stretching, More than five emoticons in one post. All these you will receive a warning PM from the staff if it happens a lot. If you do not comply you will be gray listed. (Page Stretching is when your text or image is bigger than 800x600)
- If you get black listed your pet will still grow but you will be forbidden to post here! And Forbidden on EVER receiving another pet from this store!
- Blacklisting applies to any/all mules or future accounts you create. If you change your name or create a new account just to avoid being blacklisted you will be reported for harrassment!
- Cheating of any kind, in sales/events/games, etc. will result in an -immediate- graylisting.
- Listen to the staff, they were hired for a reason. If you argue with a staff member and are out of line, you'll be warned and if it continues can result in gray or blacklisting.
- Prices are subject to change at -ANY- time. Please be courteous about any changes, as we will usually have good reasons for doing so, if ever.
- You may -NOT- purchase pets with items except in auctions!
- Post styles are now DISALLOWED from this shop. You are still allowed to: Change your text color, size, Gaia's Post Style (Say, Document, Ornate, etc), include emotes, format your text as bold, italics, underlined, or striked out. You are NOT allowed to: Include any extra text in your post which is not the specific content of your post, include any pictures/images in your post which are not relevant to the content of your post, include any flobs except by NPCs are Roleplay reasons.

Flatsale Rules
- Each person may only purchase one pet per sale, unless otherwise stated.
- You are allowed to buy for someone else, but that counts as your one pet per sale rule, as stated above.
- You may only try for a pet after I say GO in big bold letters.
- Use the order form we provide.
- Trade must be sent within 48 hours of sale or it will be resold later.
- Proxies are allowed. One proxy per person, if you will not be here.
- Taestysia Cost: 6k
- Familiars Cost: 3k

Auction Rules
- Do NOT disrupt a sale by discouraging others or "cheering on" a particular person.
- Only bid what you have on hand.
- You cannot retract your bid.
- Trades must be sent within 48 hours of auction ending or Auto-Buy date, else the next highest bidder wins.
- You may -NOT- bid items, except Sealeds/MCs/EIs, valued at 30% below AVERAGE LOW on TekTek. (Another exception to this rule is if or when the auction itself negates this.)
- Do NOT whine or cry about people ABing things. If they have the gold, it is their perogative to AB. You can be sad or upset, but don't whine about it in the shop thread to a point where you're flaming them or anyone else who ABs. Doing so will get you a talking to via PM, and on your second offense you will be graylisted.
- There is an anti-snipe guard rule on -ALL- auctions whether we explicitly list it or not, this includes events that may not take place in this thread. So if you bid on an auction within the last 15 minutes, that will extend the auction time by another 15 minutes past it's deadline and/or last extension.
- Starting Bid: 10k

Raffle Rules
- Do NOT disrupt a sale by discouraging others or "cheering on" a particular person.
- Trades for tickets must be sent and completed before the drawing date, or your tickets will be removed.
- You may buy as many tickets for yourself or for friends unless otherwise stated.
- If you're entered into a raffle, please check the thread frequently around the end date. If raffle winners do not claim their pet within 72 hours then we will automatically re-randomize and select a new winner. We may or may not PM you at the 48 hour mark to let you know you have 24 hours to submit your choices, this is at -our- discretion if we have time. Sorry, but it's difficult to get things wrapped up when people disappear and take a week to claim pets.
- Cost per ticket: 100g

Flaffle Rules
- You may claim a ticket only after I say GO in big bold letters.
- All flaffle tickets are FREE, but if you win you have to pay the flaffle price.
- Don't enter if you don't have the gold.
- You may not claim a ticket for a mule. That's cheating.
- You may claim a ticket for a friend, but only ONE friend.
- Cost of Taestysia Pet: 6k; unless otherwise stated.
- Cost of Familiars: 3k; unless otherwise stated.

Event/Games Rules
- Please do not despair if things are not quite going your way with a game or event, there will be LOTS of chances at winning and getting a pet! =D
- Please do not nag/whine to our staff about points or that things are not being updated as fast. We're doing our best and we will usually keep a timestamp for most games/events so you'll know when we last updated. Please let us know if something is incorrect or if things are not updated properly after 48 hours!! It is stressful to prod us about it too much >.>;
- You may only win 1 pet, either familiar or Taestysia, during any event, from the FREE game prize pool. Since games are free, you must gift the other pet(s)/familiar(s) you win to another person, who has not met this requirement -AND- did participate in the game that you won that pet from.
- The above rule does not apply to Advertising Contest freebie pets. You may win one pet from the prize pool and still be eligible for the Advertising freebie pet!
- If you violate the above rules too much we will ask you to please refrain from doing so. If we ask you twice and have to mention it a third time, then you will be graylisted for the duration of one month or for the duration of the next event, so you will basically be suspended from participating at all.
- Cheating in games can get you graylisted!
- A new "day" for any Game with "once per day" rules begins and ends in the EST Time Zone. Refer to the clock in a post below for the current EST time.

Customs are closed, can I bribe you?
Check the guild Customs Subforum for more information on Bribe Requests. Choose a colorist and make an offer. Colorists have their own customs threads so be sure to mind their individual rules/policies as well as the main shop rules.


Where is my pet? Is it certed yet?
Please check the guild Cert Pickup Thread. If your pet is not there -AND- it has been over a week, then post in the thread or PM the mule for a status. Please don't nag about certing, it is a tedious task and sometimes not the most exciting thing to do on top of getting hassled.


What time is it for me, if the sale time is given in EST?
I provide a clock at the top of page 2 and on page 1 that works in the Firefox web browser that gives the current EST time so you can figure it out for yourself. Also, if you do not have Firefox browser, there is a link provided that will also show you the current EST time. If you do not know your own time zone, then I cannot help you because you are beyond any assistance I can offer.


How can I obtain a Taestysia pet?
There are 4 methods of obtaining a pet: Flatsale, Auction, Raffle, and Flaffle.
Flatsale: Flatsales are usually speed-based. Arrive to the shop at the time given for the sale and you must be the first one to claim the pet of your choice -after- the GO has been posted. Flatsales can also be luck-based by randomly rolling dice or randomizing numbers to decide who gets first pick and so on. Flatsales may also be done via roleplay prompts. In these cases you will submit a roleplay excerpt based on the given prompts before the ending date, then the staff will vote on who they think gave the best excerpt.
Auction: Highest bidder by the end date and time wins. Anti-snipe guards will be put in place for every auction.
Raffle: Raffles are when you purchase tickets, generally at 100g a piece. At the end, we will randomize the winning ticket numbers using the Randomizer on Gaia. First winning ticket gets first pick, the second ticketholder gets second choice, etc until all pets are claimed.
Flaffle: Flaffles are similar to flatsales that you should arrive in the shop at the time specified, but you only need to arrive to claim a ticket. Tickets are generally free. For a specific duration from the time specified you can claim tickets, until we say STOP. Then we will randomize the winners, like in a raffle, but the winners will be required to only pay the flatsale price of a pet, unless otherwise stated. Generally people will be given about 1 hour to claim tickets for a flaffle.


Are the pets Roleplay/RP-required?
No, they are not. This may change in future. Currently, you will get benefits for roleplay which include but are not limited to faster growth or more babies during breedings. Or even granted wishes?


How much do they cost?
ALL pets cost 6,000g during a normal flatsale/flaffle, unless otherwise stated.


I have a question, can I PM you?
Please keep PMs to a minimum, and only if your question is not answered on the front page here. Do NOT PM asking how to run/start a B/C shop.


How do you make these pets? How can I run a B/C shop too?
We don't have time to tutor you on these things. Gaia is an expansive and creative community, please find help or tutorials elsewhere.


My pet hasn't grown, what happened?
Try refreshing your browser a few times first, sometimes the images get cached locally on your machine and need to get the new image. If this doesn't work, trying cleaning the cache manually on your computer's browser. If your pet is more than 5 Days overdue to grow, then please PM the Savah Arda mule account with a POLITE reminder that your pet's batch is due to grow.


Can I reserve a pet or pre-buy a pet for an upcoming flatsale?
No, not unless the option is clearly given in the sale details.


Can pets talk to their human owners?
No. Taestysia are manifestations of your memory and live in another realm. There is little to no interaction available between the human owners of these memories and the pets who represent them.


Is there a mailing list I can sign up with?

Some images in the shop/in someone's sig aren't showing for me?
Gaia changed the way images are handled, by adding a new preference to your "My Account" screen. You need to select to show All Images, not just Whitelist Images. WARNING: This may also unfilter some unsavory images by others as well.


Why do you only give 48 hours for raffle claims?
Because we hate tracking people down and hate waiting on people in order to cert a batch of pets. We cert in batches so that everything stays organized and gets saved/uploaded properly, if you wait to submit a claim or make a decision on your pet, you delay everyone else in your batch queue. Please don't do this, it's rude.


Why do you have rules?
Most rules we have are for the consideration of other shop-goers and lurkers. Other rules which may seem strict or nonconforming are rules to make the staffs' lives easier. We have a hard enough time juggling things, anything within your power to make our lives easier gets you brownie points. razz Like helping newbies when we're not here.


I was wanting an uncerted version of my pet, how can I get it?
Post the IMAGE of your certed pet in the shop and ask nicely. We'll PM you the uncerted version as soon as someone is able to. You must post the IMAGE of your certed pet or we will not know which pet you want. We do not know pets by name/owner name, we know them by colorings/markings.
If your pet isn't certed yet, then tell us which sale and what pet design/number you're wanting.


Why is everything watermarked and fugly?!?
Because apparently some people cannot keep their sticky fingers to themselves! Expect -most- things to be shown with watermarks from now on except via PMs when we are actually speaking with the owner of the pet.

"Yes, I bet you'll thank us for capturing this for you" a father figure's voice chimed in. ~

The boy, now a man, chuckled to himself as he remembered his first date, as he stood at his wedding now, his mother and father, sitting in the first row by his side. Kristen was his first crush, his first kiss that night, long ago. He had made so many mistakes with her and with others since that time, but each one made him stronger and taught him to appreciate people more.

After going through his experiences with others, it made him feel worthy and honored, to be taking Kristen for his wife on this day. Inside he could feel something change as the ceremony proceeded, he felt outside time, like an onlooker at his own wedding. He felt so blissful as he kissed her.... and thus, a new memory with the woman of his heart was formed.


In that split moment where you experience something, so changing in your life (though you may not recognize it at the time), the second where it becomes the past, a new memory is born. It's fresh, new and exciting, as it grows and becomes a part of your long term memories, their spirit becomes stronger, more vividly ingrained in your past.

Each new memory brings a new experience, a new piece of the puzzle that is you. Cherish them and take care of them, because they're always watching out for you in the land of Savah Arda.

Our memories live outside the world of the physical in a reality where things change often, it's corporeal and ethereal at the same time. We all share in this collective land of memories, it's how we connect with one another. Our memories can be shared, if from different perspectives and can reminisce and communicate with one another.

Taestysia pass through 3 stages in their lives. Though it is rumored there is a 4th stage that can be attained through a quest of inner strength.

Rina (Baby) : 4 weeks.
As a young Taestysia, the rina rests quite often, preferring to cuddle in comfort than roaming about. Rinas can hear, sense, and taste, but their eyesight is not quite as developed yet. Parents should care for them gently and guide them in this early stage.

Enyalie (Teen) : 4 weeks.
Enyalie Taestysia are a boisterous, energetic bunch. They love their freedom in roaming about Savah Arda and enjoy playing with others like themselves. This is also the age when certain prejudices may appear due to past experience or parental influence. Males will tend to rough house and push their limits, where females seem to be wanting to try their skills at flirting.

Telpareon (Adult) : Forever.
Your Taestysia is now into its Telpareon stage and those little flurry feelings of "puppy love" from their Enyalie stage may have grown into the fully developed emotion of love. They no longer need the guidance of a parent and are independent enough to care for themselves. Where their life journey goes now, is a mystery waiting to unfold.

Ainu
These are memories of good will, good times and hope with that sprinkling of faith. Memories where people have been generous to you, or you to them, loving memories with family and friends. They represent all that is good-willed in your past and can become good guardians and guides in your later years.

Thasai
These are memories of love, joy, and triumph. Your first love, the day you first mastered that bike after falling so often, a particularly fun or memorable birthday, a delightful prank that was well-played. So much happiness can be found in these memories, they're playful and delight in most anything fun. But, be careful, even the best of memories can turn sorrowful or hateful.

Rauko
These are memories of scorn, hate, and violence. Memories witnessed that were too horrible to recount or those of hate and prejudice. Most of our worst fears can be born of these memories as they strive to continually haunt your past to hurt your future.

Drosai
These are memories of your worst sadness and heart aches. Some are born as these, during a sad time, a particularly bad day or a string of bad luck. But others, become sad or aching. The loss of your first love, grief over a death, or betrayal. They often are sluggish, refusing to interact with many others of their kind or species. They usually live alone. (Drosai may become Thasai again once the memory is seen in a new light and added to the positive experiences of your memories.)

Special Stages!?

Special Chibi Stage
Forever.
Chibis are now much more rare in the lands of Savah Arda. It is heard they left the lands for adventure. Though do not despair, occasionally we may find a new one still lurking in our midst.
This stage can only be attained through special events. It will not grow into being a "normal" breeding capable pet without the assistance of a bit of "magic".

Familiars

Familiars can speak to others of their same species, but communicate non-verbally with their Taestysia companions through the magic of the bond they share. Familiars cannot speak to other Taestysia they are not bonded to. Currently, familiars cannot breed. If you would like to purchase a familiar to go with a current pet, or would like one at the same time as you purchase a pet, you can go to the Familiar Adoption Agency


Pandryl
Egg Stage - 2 weeks*
Adult Stage - Forever
Pandryls make for sturdy familiar companions to your Taestysia. They are fiercely loyal and caring, but their personalities are directly affected by your Taestysia's behaviors and underlying personality. If your Taestysia is moody and prone to evil pranks, then their companion Pandryl will be likely to join in their escapades. Their wings are large enough to carry them great distances. As an egg, they require extra care from your Taestysia to aid their growth, but when they fully develop they are an unmatched companion for your Tae. From within their egg they speak through chirps, then as they grow they will begin to use roars, growls, clicks, and body movements to communicate with those of their own species.

Faeshae
Baby Stage - 2 weeks*
Adult Stage - Forever
Faeshaes are full of bounce and mirth in all they do. They are warm, loving companions for your Taestysia and express it in any way they can. As with Pandryls, their personalities will be directly affected by your Taestysia, and will coincide as partners in life. Their wings may seem small but can go great distances, though they would rather stay close to their companion Taestysia than be parted from them. Throughout their lives, faeshae will generally communicate via squeaks or murmurs of sound to others of their kind.

Caring and guiding your Taestysia through life is very important. Here are some tips on how to help them grow to their full potentials.

Guild Roleplay Forum

Roleplaying Guidelines and Rules
- All roleplay should take place in the guild.
- Taestysia do need to eat and drink. They can consume berries, nuts, and the occasional fish. Some will often eat the occasional herb or flower growing in the land.
- Be literate in your roleplays! This will count alot when you're wanting to soulmate your pets or apply to have them elder-fied.
- Don't kill off your pet. I suppose you can do so for -VERY- roleplay specific reasons, but don't do this frivolously.
- If your pet is mortally wounded, then roleplay it properly, it's not going to be walking around fine in a few days.
- Time will probably move differently in your roleplays than real life time, please be mindful of that. It may take 1 - 6 days of real life time to pass 1 day in your roleplay. Despite the time passing in real life, don't try to make your roleplay jump unrealistically.
- As of right now, your Taestysia do -not- have magical powers and cannot teleport or throw magic missiles. They are also not telepathic, though when soulmating occurs, those two may share a bond. Not of specific telepathy but they can more easily know the others' moods and feelings.
- Humans don't exist, Savah Arda is a parallel world to our own that is outside the realm of existence of humans. So you cannot roleplay yourself as interacting with your Taestysia, sorry. Unless you're very clever and stay within the bounds of the above xP
- Excellent roleplaying may be gifted with free wishes at the Wellspring, which can change your Taestysia into other forms or change their colors. A separate application will be provided for roleplay-influenced Wellspring "wishes".
- Taestysia cannot leave the land of Savah Arda, though, not all of the land may be mapped at the current time. Perhaps your Taestysia can influence the roleplay and lay of the land by being a discoverer?
- Roleplay among the Taestysia will and can heavily impact what happens in the shop on the whole, so please be wise in your choice of roleplays.

Taestysia in the telpareon stage of life will often come across their one true soulmate, or have a daring love affair, which results in more beautiful babies to be shared with others. Generally these Taestysia will need to spend time with one another in order for their pairing to be plentiful and successful.

(If a normal taestysia mates with a taestysia who has hair edits and a modified tail lineart. We will randomize to see how many babies will carry on the extra edits of the second parent. If total babies is 5 and 2 will carry on the editted traits, then the total cost for the breeding will be: 4k + 4k + 4k + 10k + 10k = 32k)


Breeding Berries

Berries will increase the potency of your breeding by 1. Max. 2 per breeding can be used.
(Adds 1 baby to your breeding.)
Note: In this way, you can somewhat control what your extra baby/babies will be, editted or not. However, parents without edits cannot purchase an album for an editted pet.

The WellSpring is full of magic, it can grant wishes and change your taestysia in ways you might never have thought of. But for each wish and magic spent, there is a sacrifice needed.

As you approach the WellSpring you might consider the waters are made of liquid metal, but on closer inspection, it is simply metallic in quality. The waters are of every color and yet of none. Gold hues, silver, copper, and every color of the rainbow seems to pulse through in a perfect blend with one another. The waters swirl around in a clockwise circle and you can feel the magic pouring into you just from standing so close to the edge.

At the edge, a curious elder Taestysia sits, watching the swirling colors. He occasionally leans in to check the waters, running a finger through and rubbing it between his thumb and fingers as if testing the waters. He is known as the Keeper, who cares for and maintains the Wellspring so it is not overused or depleted of its natural magic.

- Hourglass -
Speed up or kindle the growth of your pet to its adult stage. Can only be used on Chibi, Rina or Enyalie staged pets. Your pet will go from Chib/Rina/Enyalie directly to an adult after using this item.

- Snapshot -
Freeze your memory in time by taking a picture of the experience. Doing so will freeze your pet in its current stage.

- Spectrum Solution -
Pouring this on your pet will produce random or specific color changes to their coats. The desired effect depends on the potency of the solution. (Potency depends on how much gold/bells are given to the Keeper)

The Foundry is where all the beautiful bells in the land originate. Each bell adding its own sound to the harmony of the realm.

Bells are ranked by the metal used to create them, such as tin, copper, nickel, silver, gold, and platinum. We only use pure metals to keep their harmonies pure and untarnished. Metals of lower worth are ranked lower than the metals which are harder to obtain.

Bells from the Foundry are given freely to add to the harmonies of Savah Arda, but they must be earned. Helpers from the realm may award them to the worthy, the fortunate, or the deserving. In turn, these bells can be used to serve as a sacrifice to the WellSpring, where they are again polished and made into bells by the Foundry.


Rules
- You may -not- sell your bells to others.
- You can give them away, but not to your own mules. This will count as cheating and can result in blacklisting.
- You can use your bells as described below, but in the case of a free pet or item, you must wait until there are slots available or in stock items.
- Anyone can earn bells as long as they are not blacklisted, however once blacklisted you may lose any bells you have acquired previously, even if you are forgiven and are removed from the blacklist.
- You can always upgrade your bells but you cannot "downgrade" them.

- Perma stage customs can be -any- stage you want. So if you'd rather have a perma-baby custom, then that is fine.
- Colorists have the right to refuse any order they do not want to take.
- Colorists have the right to reject to "adjust" or "fix" your custom more than 2 times, so be clear in how you want it to look. It will be at their discretion whether they want to fiddle with it more.

If -any- staff member PMs you to follow the rules or to calm down the disruption to the thread that you're creating, that is your warning.
