Time for another Totally Hard Question™ from Lural!

My brother an I were talking about anime that we used to watch as kids, and some of the shows we kinda miss seeing. So my question to you is what retro/older anime was your favorite? Let's say anything before 2005 falls into this. It could be a series, or a movie, as long as it's an older one.

So many. So many. Sailor Moon, CCS, Voltron, Ronin Warriors, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, That doesn't even begin to scratch the surface in all honesty.

But I'm gonna not use those because, aside from Ronin Warriors, they all have recent remakes and what not. Plus I just really wanna use Fushigi Yuugi because I'm weird and know so few people who knows that series lol

Fun fact! My alternate screen name, the one I had before Lural, was a reference to Fushigi Yuugi. Chichiri is still my anime crush. And I've cosplayed Hotohori more then once.

Oh man, at first I thought Escaflowne was Evangellian and I was about to write a rant/story about that, then I realized that wait no, those are different anime, and I haven't seen all of Escaflowne. When it was super popular, I still had shitty internet and didn't know where to go see it, and being a broke-a** highschool student (or whatever) I couldn't afford to get the DVDs. Was it a good series?

Laughs it showed up early highschool for me so maybe early 2000? Use to try to rush home to watch it because it had to start at like 3 when I got out of school on foxnet work and then they discontinued it because naked doubleganger butt.

OMG IT IS A BUTT - pfhss 0 it wasn't a full frontal calm down fox, it just naked shape changers.

It was pretty good but it is also just very very weird the more it progressed and after awhile you were like whoaa... what did I just watch?

I felt that way when I watched Earthian: Angelic Destroyer the first time. I just... did not know what to make of what I had just seen. Actually, I watched it again a few years back... I'm still not sure what I was watching. I don't think I could even tell you the plot, other then something about a captured angel? And possibly his lover? Maybe?
