How can I get a Cluricaun?
Through flatsales, raffles, auctions, events, customs and pet trades. Check the "Availability" post for more information.

How many can I have?
As many as you can take care of. But if you accumulate a ridiculous amount, it is likely we won't keep selling you more.

Can I sell my Cluricaun?
No. You may give them away, just make sure you let us know so we can change the cert for you. Name changing fee is 1k. This also applies if you change your username. This does not include pets from breedings. Please see the Breeding post for more information on that.

How much do they cost?
Flatsale pets are 5k. Auctions and raffles vary.

Are they RP required?
No, but if you decide to RP on a regular basis you will most likely get a free gift. See "RP Perks" post for more info.

Can I co-own one?
Certain raffle and auction pets can be co-owned, but not flatsale pets.

How long does it take for them to grow?
Fluff stage lasts 1 week.
Baby stage lasts 2-3 weeks.
Adults are permanent unless you're a regular, serious RPer, in which case you might get an Elder stage. See "RP Perks" post for more info on the Elder stage.

Can they breed?
Yes they can. But this is restricted to RPers.

Can there be male/male and female/female breedings?
Of course. We're not sure how Cluricaun breed as of yet, but same genders are capable of it.

What if I'm an RPer and I need to take a hiatus/cannot post for an extended period of time?
Let us know and if you have an Elder or any other RP Perks we will not take them away from you.

It is believed that each person has a presence in the Dreaming, both before their life as individuals begin and afterward. These children of the spirit are the manifestations of an individual's dreams, a representation of sorts of their dreamer. There are many known worlds and universes contained in the Dreaming, some closer, some further.

Of the many worlds and universes in Dreamtime, Aljira Copernican is one of the most diverse and lush star systems known. With three planets of varying temperatures and atmospheres, the inhabitants, these spirit children, also known as Cluricaun, are reflections of the worlds in which they dwell. They have long since adapted to their surroundings, living in any environment remotely capable of sustaining life. Where it is not possible, they actively search for ways to make it so. Still, even within their own planets, there are areas that remain undiscovered. Who knows what will be uncovered when adventurous Cluricaun set out to learn more about their worlds?

As a race, Cluricaun are intelligent and innovative by nature, even those most concerned with staying in the old routines. Their personalities are immensely variable, as are their own dreams and aspirations. However, even within these worlds, there are a variety of Cluricaun to be found, not just in personality but in appearance as well, displaying the adaptations and characteristics necessary for their survival. As different as their lands are, so too are the Cluricaun in their systems of government and living. Some reach for the stars while others want things to stay just the way they are.

Separated as they are by their worldly confines, still the Cluricaun share other traits and beliefs in addition to what innately belongs to them. On each of their respective planets, many generations ago, the Cluricaun came across a small child alone and in the cold, different and unknown to them. Some of the more kind-hearted Cluricaun took her in and raised her as their own and in the ways of the Cluricaun. Over the course of some time, it became clear that this particular spirit child was different from the rest, the only one of its kind.

Not only did she age quickly but there were times when it seemed she spoke of experiences elsewhere when she had been around them the entire time. In addition, she grew and aged at an exceptional rate until reaching the physical appearance of being in her late teens when all development stopped. However, she continued to mature emotionally and to gain more knowledge from her daily experiences. All the while, she conducted herself with grace and kindness, clearly displaying the wisdom she had gained from all the things she had experienced. Through the actions of this Cluricaun, it was soon concluded that she was worthy of respect and honour.

However, she would not accept the possibility of being a true ruler, making decisions and governing the intricate details of Cluricaun life. Despite her omnipresence, the ability to be everywhere if she chose, she was not interested in monitoring the ins and outs of all Cluricaun. Instead, she agreed to become a ruler of sorts but one who rarely intervened or decreed, free to go about her business and enjoy her time as she pleased. This decision on her part was welcomed and lauded, for Cluricauns value their ability to do what they will, and lends what decrees or decisions she does make all the more weight and import.

The Cluricaun on each planet know that they are not alone and that there are others somewhat like them on the other two planets, made aware of this as they were by the knowledge Yhi had imparted to them. Gifted with this information so many generations ago, the Cluricaun have now reached a point where they will soon be ready to visit these planets where others like them dwell, curious to see what else is out there, branching out and exploring the planets close by. As if their own internal conflicts were not enough, the potential for war between these planets and their inhabitants, so similar yet so different, is ever present.

And the first representatives from the other two planets are now arriving. What new issues might arise between the Cluricaun from different worlds, adding to the already complicated lives they lead? What awaits them on these planets, startling in their contrast to their native environments?

[Aljira]

Of unknown age, Yhi has been with the Cluricaun almost as far back as can be remembered by their respective societies.

Many generations ago, a baby was discovered alone and in the cold by the Cluricaun on each of the planets. Within days, the elders of these societies had all reached similar conclusions; they would raise the child amongst them as their own. As she grew, it became clear to all that she had many abilities, not the least of which was the ability to be in multiple places at the same time. She matured quickly, far more quickly than was normal, but once her physical appearance reached that of someone in her late teens, she ceased to grow altogether.

From the time she was a small child, Yhi has been known for moving with grace and compassion. She was always respectful of all, meeting everyone with a calm, understanding demeanour. Maturing and continuing to grow emotionally, she conducted herself in a wholly honourable fashion and it became quite obvious to the Cluricaun that she was wise beyond her years.

On all three planets, they wished for her to become their ruler, seeing in the young woman all the traits they desired in a ruler. Upon all three, she politely declined. However, upon their insistence, she agreed to become a monarch of sorts for them, uninvolved in the day-to-day governing on the planets but, should she ever choose to make a decree, they would listen and obey what she said and defer to her wisdom.

She continues to appear with relative frequency among the Cluricaun but is content to exist amongst them as an equal except when she sees something which particularly concerns her. Her actual physical appearance has been a matter of some dispute as it seems to alter according to who sees her and the environment she appears in. However, the common things that do seem to hold are that she has a tattoo resembling a dragon, one she was in fact found with as a baby. All accounts agree that she appears to be a young woman with long, dark hair with a cream and coffee complexion.

Still, so many aspects of Yhi remain a mystery and it is theorised that she, herself, would be unable to provide insight if asked. Certainly, when asked, she only smiles at the question and shakes her head.

On average, adult male Daiah on all fours stand anywhere between 6' to 6'2" while Daiah females are somewhat smaller and range anywhere from 4'5" to the tallest at 5'7".

Although giving the appearance of softness, Daiah fur is actually short and wiry. It is difficult for them to retain large amounts of body heat because of this. Their tails, in contrast, are quite long and covered in luscious, thick fur which can be wrapped around their bodies or used as a nest after they have had a litter. It has yet to be determined what the feathers found on their heads are used for. However, it is quite certain that they serve a purpose and are of significance to the Daiah. It has also been noted that the colour of these feathers are the same as their eyes.

By nature, Daiah are vegetarians and largely subsist on fruits and vegetables. If hard-pressed, they are also willing to eat leaves and grass that can be found.

Daiah travel at speeds slightly over 40 miles per hour and, due to how quickly they are able to move, have not sought to create other modes of transportation for their personal use.

Comparatively smaller, Akala males when standing on all fours are about 3' while the females are significantly smaller at 2'.

Despite also having short fur like the Daiah, their coat is quite soft. Akala tails, notably longer by their bodies by half a length, assists in keeping themselves balanced when they are flying. Their wings are more than usable but only allow for approximately 10 minutes of flight before they begin to tire, due to the size of their bodies relative to the small, feathery wings on their backs. Their hearing is quite acute, compensating for their mediocre eyesight and sense of smell.

The horns seen adorning their heads are used within Akala society to test their wing strength, both between males and females. Most commonly, they lock horns in mid-air, twisting and wrestling while staying in the air. The Akala who stays in the air longer is the winner and this creates a power hierarchy of sorts amongst Akalas. Additionally, their horns are used to threaten enemies and to protect themselves.

Fussy eaters, Akala are only willing to eat fruits and berries. If they are unable to find any, they will simply starve.

A fully grown Gaya-dari female stretches out to approximately 12 feet in length while the average Gaya-dari male tends to be slightly smaller, being only 10 or 11 feet long.

Spending the entirety of their lives under water, both saltwater and fresh, the Gaya-dari have naturally adapted to this lifestyle. Their gills can be found on either side of their torso, halfway up their chests. They have scales which extend from the tips of their tails and end around where their gills are located. The remainder is covered in long fur. Although their eyesight is quite poor, Gaya-dari have an incredible sense of smell and are able to identify scents from several miles away.

Although Gaya-dari can surface above water, they have no internal apparatus with which to breathe air. As a result, coming up from the water for them is much like holding their breath although, if their gills remain beneath the water, they can manage for some amount of time above water.

Gaya-dari are omnivores and mainly eat small fish which they are quite adept at catching and supplement this with seaweed or other underwater plants.

With their powerful tails propelling them, Gaya-dari are able to swim through the water at almost 25 miles per hour, despite the drag offered by their fur.

Geography
Despite its barren appearance, Cobar bears more of a resemblance to an oasis found in a desert than a wasteland of sand and rock. The large majority of its inhabitants can be found in these areas and appear to thrive, plant and animal alike. Certainly, though, there are areas that are, in fact, hot and arid like a true desert. However, those seem to be more the exception than the rule. The climate necessary to provide such unique conditions is both dry and hot but with regular amounts of rainfall. The presence of such environmental factors leads one to conclude that the land on Cobar, while not infertile, is unable to store water very well and, in some areas, not at all.

Population
Being well-suited to the climate, the majority of the Cobarese population consists of Daiah and they have flourished. Akala can be found from time to time but due to their dietary needs, they tend to be found most often in those oases that are the most fertile and rich in plantlife. It is only very rarely that Gaya-dari are found and usually only in very limited numbers.

Government
Over many generations, the inhabitants of Cobar have concluded that the best way for them to co-exist and govern is through a republic-like democracy. For most matters, a simple poll is taken of the population on an annual basis. However, should the vote be too close, anything less than by a margin of 2/3, the votes go to representatives from each oasis to make the final decision. These representatives are elected every two years and form a body of representation that often discusses more serious matters at great length before presenting the information to the citizens from their respective oases.

In addition, every 3 years, a leader is elected by popular vote to make the larger, governing decisions for all of Cobar.

Geography
Covered mostly with water, Illuka is also able to support other forms of life that do not dwell in water. With quite a few smaller land masses scattered over its surface, there are small bodies of fresh water and the vegetation found is diverse and lush, fostered by a moderate climate and associated weather. Many of the fauna found here are able to survive both on land and in water. The landscape underwater is as varied as might be found on any other planet, with high mountain ranges to deep canyons, not to mention flat plains and underwater grasslands. Any weather that happens above the water has its own effects on the inhabitants found in the ocean although exactly how is still being examined.

Population
With the wealth of certain resources available, it is unsurprising that Illuka is mostly inhabited by Gaya-dari. Spread throughout the land underwater, they thrive in their surroundings and have adapted and grown in a variety of ways. Despite the overwhelming presence of the ocean on all sides, life can also be found above water, on the land masses. Both Akala and Daiah have made homes for themselves and have found ways to happily survive under the circumstances, establishing and maintaining healthy relations with the far more populous Gaya-dari.

Government
The unique balance of different breeds found on Illuka, yet the stark contrast in environments complicates matters in terms of representation and taking the opinion of others into account. It had been decided long ago that instead of the running of different governments above and below water, that they would unify and have multiple representatives in their Parliament. Thanks to the advancements in technology, and with the assistance of the Gaya-dari, the land-dwelling Cluricaun now have means to represent themselves in the underwater Parliament as well where all matters are discussed.

Parliament members are elected every 3 years in a popular vote at the same time that elections for the Prime Minister, who is always the leader of the majority party in Parliament.

Geography
In contrast to Illuka and Cobar, Elouera is very obviously rich and, of the three planets, quite possibly the most welcoming. With a hot, wet climate, rain is frequent and it is almost always humid. When it isn't raining, the sun is often out but with the vast expanses of jungle and the associated vegetation, many parts of the planet remain in a constant state of shade. Naturally, there are a significant number of lakes and rivers in and surrounding the rainforests as well with their own unique inhabitants and conditions. Despite the prevalence of jungles and green plantlife, Elouera also has areas of open, flat grassland where other lifeforms particularly favour or frequent.

Population
The immense amount of vegetation and plantlife Elouera offers makes it uniquely suited to Akalas. Here, they can find the fruits and berries they eat in multitude. Somewhat suited to the climate as well, Daiah can be found here although certainly not in as large or significant numbers as the Akala as they prefer to occupy the grasslands. With a notable amount of lakes and rivers present, Gaya-dari also have a notable presence here although, due to the limitations, they are of course restricted to the lakes and rivers where they make their homes.

Government
With the diversity of the population, and the significant numbers of all present, Elouerans have found it particularly difficult to settle on a form of government that suits everyone. This has been a constant sort of contention and it is only over the past few decades that things have settled into a more stable government of sorts. Much to the surprise of many, this government is, in fact, a dictatorship. However, their leader is benevolent and allows for a great deal of freedom on the part of Elouerans, despite his absolutism when it comes to certain aspects of governance. It has yet to be determined what will happen when he passes but it is currently assumed that the role will pass on to his son or, possibly, one of his close advisors.
