New Year: New Life!

No one knows when it started, but everyone in the world - not just the residents of Big City - celebrates the new year. It isn't just about a new year for the animals of this world, however! With the blessings of the magic wells, the new year means literal new life - in the form of animated dolls!

What?

Yep. That's right. Don't question it; the villagers don't know how it works any more than you do! All they know is it does. In the month of January, hand-crafted dolls can be brought to the local well and brought to life, gaining a mind and personality of their own. Interestingly, wishing for other things doesn't seem to work during this time. Maybe it's union policy?

... what? The well union. You heard me.

This is a CYO event! This time, we're giving you a quick and dirty rundown - we know why you're here. You don't want to read a lot of rules, you just want to make some sweet villagers, right?

Go here to submit your villager designs for approval and certing!

General Information:

There is no limit to the number of dolls you can buy.
Dolls you make for yourself cost 1kp. Dolls made by someone else cost 500p!
You may post requests for others to make you dolls / doll design trades in this thread or in discord.
You may not pay someone else to make you a doll. You know what, go ahead. That's basically just an art commission, right? You have full permission but only for this event for this shop.

Doll Information:

Doll lines will not pass in wishing.
Dolls will instead count as a random villager type in wishes. This will change with every wishing!
All dolls will count as unedited in wishing, even if they have been edited.
Doll lines are only available in January from this event.
IC-wise, dolls are 100% sapient and function at an equal capacity as "natural" villagers.

Art Rules:

You may edit the lines.
Button eyes are optional and the entire face may be redrawn.
The basic villager shape must still be visible.
Lines must be colored.
Exception to line coloring is eyes. Eye lines must be black - buttons are exempt from this rule.
Shading is not allowed! Gradients are fine, but shading will result in rejection.
Submitted villagers must not have lots of stray pixels, smudging outside the lines, etc.
