FA'E: Morion's Diary (GunsmokeGirl is Guardian)

Smoke's Journal, Feb 10th, 11:00 pm ~

Morion and I had an interesting talk.

Since he's been reading the Harry Potter books that his friends David and Katha bought for him, tonight I got him on the conversation of magic and special abilities. Though he wasn't sure whether or not to believe the sort of magic that he was reading about (I had to remind him that it was fiction... Morion has the charming tendency to think the written word is gospel, and sometimes he believes too much of what he reads), he was certainly interested in the idea of honing the abilities he has. So I offered to help him with that, if I could.

After dinner we went for a walk in the park nearby, and Morion tried to "talk" to every animal he came across. He didn't seem to have a problem with squirrels, cats, and dogs, though he said the cats "weren't very talkative" and the squirrels "wouldn't be quiet." xd The birds didn't seem to be as easy for him... maybe due to the fact that they communicate differently from mammals.

I feel like I'm the Guardian of a miniature Dr. Doolittle... o__O;

...and a small part of me can't help but wonder if Morion is pulling my leg with all of this, but seeing him actually connect with those animals... no, there's no way he could fake their reactions.

Something else interested happened tonight, at the Headquarters. Morion saw Dawna, who is also old enough to be considered a child now... and he was a bit taken by her, I think. ^_^; I've noticed that he acts a bit shy around Purr-purr as well, and I can only wonder what things are going to be like for him when he becomes a teen.

Arg... enough thinking about that... I can hardly believe he's as old as he is now!

Morion's also been asking about having Mordath over for a sleepover... I think I'll call Sabin after everyone's certain that Purr-purr is going to be alright.

Morion's Journal, the 13th of February, in the year of 2004 ~

I haven't been feeling quite like myself lately...

A few days ago I discovered that Miss Purr-purr is undergoing an interesting transformation... she has wound herself in a cocoon, and seems to be going through a chrysalis similar to that of a butterfly! Miss Kamiki said that after my Mother and I visited last weekend, Purr-purr was abnormally quiet and gloomy... and it may have been because I demonstrated an ability to speak with her favorite nee-now, Lady.

Though I think it would be impossible for me to admit it to anyone (even my Guardian, whom I know means well), I will admit it here, to perhaps ease my mind a bit -- I feel so guilty!

It's worse at night, when my Mother has fallen asleep the living room and everything is dark and quiet.... then my thoughts are able to catch up with me and I worry about many things. But right now, I worry most about whether or not Miss Purr-purr will emerge from her cocoon safely.

Outwardly, of course, I am the perfect image of calm.

But even I can't deny that everything having to do with we Fa'e is so... unpredictable.

Bah, I really should concentrate on other things. I haven't gotten to have Master Mordath over for a "sleepover" yet... he's like a brother to Miss Purr-purr, so we are waiting until things have calmed down a bit before we attempt our little escapade.

My Mother seems to be more interested as of late in some of my "abilities." She enjoys watching me try to communicate with various different animals, and I must admit, it's better practice for me than I thought it would be. I think I might keep working at it.

I also need to use my lightning-breath again... I've aged quite a lot since the last time I tried it out (other than the small zaps I've given Mother, which I feel I really must apologize for... it's usually a reflex action, I swear).

...now my curiosity is getting the best of me, so I think end this for tonight...

*Morion sneaks outside into the back yard and tries out his breath weapon. After a few nice, rather small electric bolts which dissipate harmlessly into the cold night air, he becomes more bold and decides to give it all he's got... and releases a much larger shock of electricity...*

*****BZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKKKTTTTT!!!****

*...which shuts down the power in Smoke's neighborhood for two blocks...*

Brina skips up the steps to the house and leaves a basket with a note outside the door. She doesn't ring the bell, but hums softly to herself as she turns back to her car to finish making deliveries.

The note reads:

As soon as Naia got home today, she dragged me out to go shopping. Her Uncle Lucian had told her about Valentine's Day and, this being her first, she wanted to do a little something for her "brothers and sisters". You'll be happy to know she was responsible enough to buy Morion's gift with her own pocket money. We hope you two enjoy!

*Smoke brings the bagel and cream cheese in and shows them to Morion* Look what Naia brought for you! ^__^

*Morion looks over the bagel, then a smile creeps across his face* It looks too good to eat, really... *he takes a small bite from one side, trying not to "damage" it too much, but he quickly decides that it DOES taste very good... so he eats it.* xd

[Sosiqui]

Riven coos and giggles, clearly please with himself, as Sosiqui obligingly carries him from house to house with a drippy basket of half-dried paper. "This one goes to Morion, right?" she asks, holding up one piece.

Riven nods. "Morii!" he trills, and Sosiqui bends down and drops the paper on the doorstep, weighting it with a nearby stone. Then they head off to the next house..

Kedia hops along the path to the house, carrying nothing but a plastic bag, she hummed a tune as she left it there, rang the bell, and scrammed back to her car to finish deliveries, beside, you saw a note that read:

"Better than the last house." Wotcher comments, pulling Arakel along with the wagon. "Well, let's hurry up. We've gots lots more houses to go to. I'm starting to feel like a regular mailman.":

Neith tiptoes quietly up to the house alone, and leaves a package on the doorstep. On the top is a note.
"For GunsmokeGirl and Morion. Everyone needs something familar to hold onto sometimes.

She sneaks off again.

In my studio, I make globes. Nyoka picked out a dragon for the inside especially for Morion. Have a Happy Valentine's Day.

Kaekia sneaks up to Gunsmoke and Morion's house, a basket filled with little Valentines cards swinging on her arm. She rustles through the basket and picks up one, studying it carefully before knocking on the door and setting the little card on the doorstep. She looks around to see if anyone saw her and then runs off.

[Nanakii]

*Grinning, she places her gift on the step, and then run's off to deliver the next one* Man... So much running....

Inside the bag you find.... And attached to it is a note.. "Happy valentines day guys! This tea sets for Morion, it's blue like him ^-^" (Man, i'm so lame XDXD)
