The Assassin's Last Sanctuary (O/A, walk-in)

In between every realm and plane both known and unknown, exists a dimensional rift that brings you to an island. The inhabitants of the mass of land encompased by seemingly miles of water is called "Havenhood Island." On this island, deep in the forest, is a small bar. The creator known as the mysterious Damian left the place in charge of the people that lived in and loved its creaky lumber, as well as the family that grew around it. It has passed through the untameable and unpredictable hands of Saji the warrior Empress, as well as her husband Sheggorath, a charismatic cat man that has to be met to be believed. As time passed, so did the ownership of this wayward building. Talia Verone, a half-elf, half-vampire woman, now tenderly cares for the only place that accepts her and that she can call home. Although this family of wayward assassins and oddballs wandered and split, the everlasting spirit of the place still lived strong in the depths of their hearts, occasionally calling them back for more, and so they shall always be welcomed under the wooden beams. Those looking for adventure, bravery, battle, shelter, or even madness, can pass, knowingly or not, through the rift and happen across Havenhood Island. This is why the assassins sanctuary was built. It serves as a refuge for the beings attempting to escape the laws of their world. Unusual, mythical beasts and people have found their way to this land. Through the strange magic that seems to encompass this small island, much darker beings have, too, occupied it. They scheme, plot, and hide from the other realms, or even seek destruction of the island's existence. So far, all enemies to the island have been defeated, but there's always more lurking in its shadows. Here, Death has been defied, Gods and Goddesses have walked like mortals, the rules of reality have been known to cease to continue, and there has been some damn good karaoke nights.

So whether you're here for a greater, or in some cases worse, calling, or if you're just looking for a good game of strip poker, all are welcome to pass through the rift and come to this island of madness, and the Assassin's Sanctuary that lies within the shadowy canopy of the dark, nightmarish forest.

This is a semi-literate roleplay. I understand it is sometimes difficult to come up with a post. I am not expecting huge posts. Quality, not quantity. However, please try to leave enough for the next person to work off of. I started out in this roleplay and wasn't the greatest, so I understand that it takes time to learn to roleplay.

This is an "anything goes" roleplay. You do not need to send me a profile for me to accept first. Just add it to the main thread AND you can add it to the profile thread here. If you don't and just leave it in the main thread, I will add it to the profile thread, though I would prefer you post it there so you can altter it and add characters as you so choose. It also helps to prevent some godmodding and gives you something to build your character on, though I know it's also fun to let your character develop as you rp. If you can handle it, you can have as many characters as you'd like. You know your limits. It is suggested that you stick to three main characters, and have your others as side characters or waiting NPCs until interaction, but it is not a rule. Just don't spam characters, or I may have to kill you off as a spammer! And if you read the rules, you wouldn't like that....

Outside the Sanctuary

The building looks like an Old English, two-story inn with Gothic architecture. The inn is built from mostly wood, with bits of stone and plaster worked in. The inn will be going through various remodeling both outside and in. Behind the inn is a tilt yard for sparring practice, as well as a makeshift archery and arcane magic range. A small bath house is next to the yard for clean-up and relaxation after the work out. At the north-western corner of the inn, in part of the empty field between the building and the forest line, is the start of a cemetery for those who wished to be buried at the sanctuary, or whose family chose to bury them there.






Havenhood Island

There are many things hidden under the eaves of the forest, so you may create various buildings or ruins or whatever among them, as well as in the mountains. There are some hidden mines and a caves system under the eastern mountains, which is where the cave entrance in its base leads. There's also an underground cave only accessible by an underwater opening in the Goddess's lake, which is the lake just North of the Sanctuary. The ruins in the sea are mostly underwater. An abandoned scientific lab is at the south-eastern part of the sanctuary, along with more ruins. At the western tip is a small town with various business and a small harbor. There isn't much at the town itself but the harbor allows merchants to come in and out often, so trade has become a big part of the town. To the west of the town is farmland for growing crops. In the south gulf is a small dock that belongs to the Sanctuary.

First Story

The first story tavern has light walls and dark ebony and cherry wood beams and accents to contrast the light alabaster walls. There is a bar to the right as you walk in, with taps and an always stocked shelf of various spirits and mixers, as well as cocktail glasses of various shapes and sizes. There is a hearth and seating on the far side of the building, and tables for dining. A rug in the center of the room can be raised to make a dance floor, as well as a hidden compartment that contains a karaoke system with any and every song. On the other end of the bar is a set of stairs, doorways leading to the kitchen, and a hidden portal on the other part of the stairs that leads to a training area of your choosing.


Second Story

As you ascend the stairs, you enter a hallway filled with doors leading to different bedrooms. They have the common bed and nightstand as every inn has, and the rest you can create yourself, especially if you own one of the rooms. The upstairs is still a work in progress, as are the layout images.


Basement

If you descend the stairs from the first floor, you will be in a small lobby with three doorways. One leads to the library, which is currently being worked on, another to the cellars, and the third with a laundry room. There is a room inaccessable from the basement that is the "dead body storage," though it is unknown where all the bodies go exactly, since it would reek if they actually just stayed there. That room is being worked on.


Attic

Much is unknown about the attic. It is currently only accessible from the roof or a portal. Make of it what you will.












Bedrooms - Each includes a bed and a window looking out to the forest, as well as a nightstand. The rest is up to the guest staying in the room. We've had everything from flickering lights and demons to portable doorways containing mini dimensions.


Bedroom Portals - Once the ordinary rooms are filled, portals appear in the walls between the room doors, allowing for more and unique rooms to be available for extra guests. These portal rooms are specific to each patron's signature and they have control of the room. The room is also created to resemble their own "sanctuary" and is fitted to look as they would be most comfortable.


Bathroom - Has the typical bathroom necessities, as well as some counter space on each side of the sink. Images are being worked on.






















Kitchen - usually has one big table in the center with counters and equipment all around the walls.

Closet - contains important things like spare cloth, tools, and medical kits.

Hearth - has a set of cushioned furniture in front of it, nearby are a few sofas for the tired or wounded.

Main room - entire bar is flame proof and can be self-repaired by saying the word, 'fix'. It has many dark wooden sturdy tables and chairs to destroy.

Training portal - located under the stairs, people just have to walk through the wall, can be altered to any size or terrain the fighters declare due to an enchantment.

Counter - has a fridge underneath in the center, beer taps are on the far left. Also there is a conspicuous trap door in the floor behind the bar that leads to and from the body/junk pit in the basement for easy body removal from the main room.










Library - where people go when they want to make plans, read, or have a bit of peace and quiet. There is a table and chairs for sitting and studying.

Drinks cellar - is the emergency stock since most of the drinks are kept upstairs near the bar.

Laundry room - in case any of the fights get messy.

Dead body/junk storage room - nearly inaccessible, the only way to get in is through the trap door in the floor behind the bar counter, or by breaking through the floorboards.
