Some people are upset that Korra is technically black

Not that it matters but I always interpreted Korra as being either black or of Native American descent.

Regardless, being a bi-racial woman myself ("You're light-skinned so you can't be black, no, you look hispanic, wait, what ARE YOU?" wink it's refreshing to see a strong-willed female protagonist of color.

Whether she's white, tan, or all of the above isn't really important. She's a badass, plain and simple. That's what I care about.

Yeah well, that's bound to happen if there's any new darker-skinned character in a show...I'm honestly more upset over the fact that the episodes I've seen so far, Korra seems to exhibit some Mary-Sue-like qualities. If anyone bothers to read my post I'm going to get hell over that

i think the benders are supposed to look like they come from the places they say they do. like korra looks inuit because shes from the south pole. aang was really pale from being trapped in the ice for 100 years( i think). i kind of wonder about zuko though, since being around so much fire he was still so pale...

So? She still has the same color as my skin. doesnt matter if shes native american shes still a person of color like meee. I'm not fully black either.
