It's an expensive hobby when you really get into it. xD I'm actually doing this as a commission for a small business yarn store. Doesn't pay all that much, but I'm doing it mostly for fun anyway.

Yeah, there are some things that are really way out of my skill set to knit, but for the most part, you can do anything once you learn the basics. I've been doing it for awhile, though, so it doesn't drive me crazy like when I try to draw. XD

It's fun how you can manipulate a few stitches into complicated motifs:

ugh, I despise the paparazzi.
with that plane crash, 70 Dutch people died and one 9 year old boy of the 100 something people on board survived, and he comes from one of the neighbouring cities of the province I live in. I went to school there for a year and my mom works there. a lot of people who died come from around here, an uncle and aunt of one of my sister's co-worker were on that plane.

but one of the 'newspapers' here, it's more a gossip tabloid than a newspaper, had the gall the call the hospital in Libia, one of the hospital personnel gave them the mobile number of that boy and that newspaper called him.

the only surviving person of a plane crash, who went through something horrible, lost his parents and older brother, and the paparazzi is calling him 2 days after the event while he's recooperating from his own injuries.

bah.
