I tried myself with colored pencils again.. after eternity XD with a bit of pastels.

Ooh, pretty colors. So smooth.. *_* I could never do that with pencils.. I'm terrible at anything traditional. ^_^*

don't say that. you just need to be patient. Start with the darkest color and then go lighter. um... and patience.
(and mine isn't even that much... ari makes so pretty pictures with colored pencils *____* )

My problem is that I never had a lot of practice with traditional media. I did a few drawings in colored pencil years ago when I just started drawing manga, but I switched to digital coloring pretty fast. : o

I want to try to learn watercolors someday tho. Watercolor paintings look so pretty. heart

for watercolor just remember that the paper has always to be wet XD

I switched to digital coloring really fast too... after a bit of time it is way cheaper O_O;;

Yeah, I'll need to learn a lot about how watercolors work before trying it. ^^*

Digital is cheaper, and I generally find it prettier too. But I think it's better for me that I start doing some different things instead of always sticking to the same thing.. same medium, same drawing subjects. My stuff gets kind of boring. : (

That is the reason I always try something different. cause I get bored easily, too ^^;

oh! When you try colored pencils again: The colors get more shiney when you mix them <3
For example for the hair I used three different kinds of red and orange XD

Water colors are kinda cheap, too heart
