yeah, I'd prefer it that way. Not that I don't trust you, and anyone else that's obviously reputable. I just had quite a few people cancel on me a while back after they KNEW I had already started on their artwork, sent progress work and everything. And one guy actually told me that he got hacked and the hacker was using all his funds to buy art.

I do try to get stuff done quickly, and I probably will get the first few orders done pretty quick, but after a while my interest slacks...and so often real life kicks in and I may not even think about gaia for a month or more DX Which is what happened with at least two of those, life got so crazy. But things should be pretty lax for a while now :3 yeeeeeey for being a lazy jobless bum!

Don't worry, I keep to my word...if I say you'll get art, you'll get art, it just may take me a while to get it done sometimes. OTL If anything does happen and I disappear from gaia for a bit, I can always be contacted through DA. I do check it multiple times a day, no matter how busy I get XD So I'm never totally MIA.

I did figure people would be a little hesitant about the paying up front though. But it's funny...for REAL MONEY commissions people have no problem with it, but for gaia it's like "I'll be damned if you're getting my gold you scammer!" rofl

Ahh, yeah. I've never done RL commissions as either side before but yeah.. It is a little questionable I guess. Hahaha. Oh well, people tend to hold pixels in higher value than real money I guess. And they think with real money, there's no way you can scam them. Usually.

I dunno, it seems like it'd be easier to scam people with real money since people are so quick to report things on gaia and such. But yeah...it's funny how people hold fake things at a higher value than real ones. Being out of a million gold isn't going to hurt me, but paying someone say $50, that would fill up my car, buy a week of groceries, almost pay my phone bill, etc... which is also why I charge so much for gaia stuff. It really doesn't do me any good...but that doesn't mean it isn't fun.

But speaking of RL commissions....I really should scan this one before I forget....as usual, it's a couple of weeks later than it should have been gonk

Yeah, which is why I won't ever buy RL commissions at least online. rofl I am considering drawing for people though, since I've gotten questions about it and a little cash growth is nice.
Who knows, the internet is a very mysterious.. place. Haha. It's fun getting pixels that won't do me any good anyways, essentially I overcharge my stuff on gaia too, but people are willing to give.

And on the other hand, I just let people confirm the trade after I post the completed art, so maybe I could be a little more cautious if I do RL commissions.

My RL commission prices usually vary. People don't seem to want to put out money for big stuff, but cheap sketches go over really well, so I usually just post "special" commissions every so often on DA for like...$15 or less, in whatever style/medium I feel like working with at the time.

This is a rl commission I finished yesterday for GothicCowAngel on DA (it's a gaia avatar, but I don't even think I know her gaia username XD) I really wish it had come out better, cause she's so sweet and has commissioned me a few times before OTL


I would love to commission people if I actually had money to spare, but like now....my bank account is empty DX

I always find it scary how people can take huge commissions, group stuff or what not, for like 300$ or something. e__e

Or those really awesome digital artists that get $300 for a single character fullbody portrait with next to no background DX Or even marker artists that take manga style commissions for well over $100 maaaaan I would love to make that kinda money for my marker stuff, but I ISN'T POPULAR ENOUGH FOR THAT OTL or...uh, just flat out not good enough XD

Popularity goes a long way, you can draw like s**t for people and as long as you're well known they'll pay a lot just to get a mere headshot sketch from you~
