oh, I'm aware of what the words mean by themselfes (I may remember almost nothing from my Latin classes, but I do remember some stuff)

the quote "Et tu, Brute?" and adaptions concerning the name used are widespread enough to convey the meaning even outside of the plays context, considering how I never read/heard this play of Shakespeare, yet am I aware of this quote
