TBH, posting the art in the guild thread is weird on mobile, so that would probably be a mass/delayed update when I do get on a computer...if that's okay?

Well my job starts on the 23rd, so I plan to be back that prior weekend (20th).
It's too much to commute 2 hours (ish) one way...especially with how bad the weather is here in the mountains (where we live now).
I'm not sure I talked about the exact details earlier, I talked about it more in other threads XP.

Though I think the time stamp here in this thread should be what's counted, since guilds can be laggy...at least for me.

Ok I searched your posts and this is what I understand: You are currently living at home with all kinds of internet access, but on Jan 20th you are moving back in with your parents to make a more manageable commute. At your parents', you will have your cellphone but not a dedicated computer, so you'll mostly be using mobile and you're concerned about how Gaia acts up on mobile (which it does, it's awful) especially guilds. Is this correct?

With all the changes we've made this year, I'm really not sure how updating will work. I'm gonna talk to the other mods in our private thread and hopefully we can figure this out before the Event starts. Worse comes to worse, we'll have to see how everything flows once we begin. It's hard for me to make a call on this, not knowing how we will be updating.

I will say, I've posted in guilds on mobile before and it's much better if you just leave the thread open in a tab on your phone browser, if that's possible. It's easier to make one or two posts in a particular thread than trying to surf around through Gaia's awful awful interface.

Yup!! That is pretty much the case.

Ok I talked to Dollie, and we agreed that the personal thread in the guild is going to be the primary way we keep track of if people are posting, not this thread. SO! We've got a couple of options.

1) You could be a Casual Artist. If you want to dump art all at once and not have to worry about mobile posting at all, this is probably the best option.

But if you really want to be a Challenge Artist, we ARE willing to work with you! It's just going to be a little more tricky. You're going to have to experiment and let us know how you want to do this, because we don't know the particular problems your phone has with Gaia. But here are the ideas we brainstormed. (I keep mentioning what works for me, I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and use the built-in Samsung browser. It allows me to open lots of tabs at the same time, which is v useful for things like this.)

2) Try the thing I suggested where you leave a phone browser tab open to the correct thread, and just muddle through posting daily. This is annoying, but it's what I do when I'm phoneposting, so I know it works for some people.

3) This is more annoying for us mods, but we are willing to do it. Make a blank post in the thread, and then PM the art to us mods and we'll edit it in. (From my experience, this will be more awkward for you rather than less -- PMs are the WORST of them all on mobile for me. But ymmv)

4) And finally, this is the MOST annoying for us mods, you could post in the main thread with the art and the disclaimer that you are a mobile user with permission to do so. But we'd really prefer you try to make the other things work first.

I think this is pretty fair. I'm sorry your situation puts up a couple more hoops for you to jump through, but we'll try to work with you as best we can.

Oh yea!!! Since no digital at the parents, my mom told me since my brother built their new computer she didnt think the actual drive had enough space for digital (and all their games *eye roll*....and my hubby's surface pro doesnt have a CD drive XD (and we dont have an external one) so bleh.

I have a mini suitcase of art supplies, and will be practicing my traditional at home &3
Ive also packed a bankers box of books to take with me ninja

I'm assuming it's digital camera.... why wouldn't the new computer not have enough space for digital camera/art? XD;; It's NEW!!! *a little lost in the convo*

What do you need the CD drive for??
To watch DVDs?? o.o;;
(Or to install driver -- which everything is available online nowadays).
