I was actually thinking about whether or not I wanted to be Casual or Challenge last night, but I decided that I wanted to make the switch to Casual so that I wouldn't get stressed out by this event later on when my work for my classes gets heavier. But thank you for extending that option! I still want to do my best to complete as many art pieces as possible, but I figure this way I might actually put more effort while also being able to still enjoy working on things.
No problem, you are a Casual~
You are still able to use Spirit Passes on days you don't want to draw.
The only difference is that the deadline does not affect you now.
You are still abide by the rules of the event.
(Cannot post ahead of schedule, put stuff in spoilers, etc.)
Hopefully you'll be able to finish all 100 Days!
We're all here rooting for you!! heart

So I misjudged the pose and the hand went off the paper, otherwise I was gonna have you holding a smoothie and count it for the fruit theme too sweatdrop

I know it wasn't supposed to be that hard to work with linux, but it was lol. I also wasn't able to find anyone else available to help me that knew how linux worked so I was relying on internet knowledge.
I spent about 1.5 weeks building all 8 units, while working on my other computers too so it wasn't that long. Would have been shorter if linux was more strait forward though haha.
The wifi driver issue is that he wasn't able to fit a PCIe wifi card in the machine with the two 1080ti's. So I tried to add the usb wifi dongle but the driver was not detecting and I couldn't figure out how to add it to the system.
We used to have someone who used linux computers, and he would virtualize windows to play games and do other stuff that was simply easier to do with windows. I mean, when it's easier to virtualize another OS to do something than I would say that the original OS is likely not ideal.
But again, to each their own. I don't have anything against linux, I'd take it over apple anyday!
Man, that's pretty ridiculous. I'm not entirely surprised about the dongle not working, however; if it was only designed with Windows or OS X in mind, then it'll likely be a pain in the a** to find the right drivers for Linux. Even with flash drives, the first thing I do is reformat them to get rid of the crappy programs that manufacturers are putting on them these days. (That crap just takes up space, in my opinion.)
Honestly, if my computer had more power (and the Nvidia drivers weren't causing my desktop environment to crash), I'd probably be doing the same thing. I can't stand using Windows, and I've never liked Apple.
Of course, I also have even further reason to want to use Linux all the time: I enjoy programming, and the Linux environment is, quite frankly, far better for that- even for web development (amusingly).
I just want to eat you up and swallow you down
Each OS has their purposes. Windows and Linux are far more useful and Apple, but at the end of the day it's up to whatever works best for your purposes.
(I was using a wifi adapter that was designed compatible with linux, tried 2 different ones actually lol)
So true, so true~ Literally the only reason I keep Windows on my computer is because it can run games Linux can't... and I still haven't touched it in a year. It's so freakin' outdated now. rofl
Jeez... that's beyond ridiculous. Using a wifi dongle should not be that difficult! gonk
I just want to eat you up and swallow you down
Exactly why I was so frustrated with linux!
Not that I dislike the idea of Linux or it's practicality, it's just when something isn't working there are so little options.
Yeah, that part's pretty frustrating. Thankfully, though, those are some pretty rare edge-cases, and most of that stuff should just work- or at least tell you what drivers you need to download.
Personally, I love using some tools that are almost exclusively available through the command line. Hell, even my stories get processed through a command-line tool at least once.
Comments: the idea of a caterpillar cop was too adorable! ...until i googled caterpillars for reference and remembered that i'm terrified of caterpillars.
so i drew this guy based on some cartoon/anime-ized version of a caterpillar by someone else ;;;
critiques are welcome. i struggled with the anatomy, but am not sure where it all went wrong...
