Boo! Though, in my case, I'd rather be working later than early. I hate going to bed before midnight... mostly because I tend to wake up a few hours later if I do.

Sooooo... don't look up tons of pictures of Driders and randomly post them in the thread?

rofl Let the non-word-rape education begin! Thankfully, it's pretty easy to describe them without going into major details.

In short, Driders are a D&D monster race that are half Drow, half spider. It was a punishment devised by their deity, Lloth (also spelled Lolth, and can be pronounced either way), for heretics of their goddess to be inflicted by Her priestesses. They have the top half of a Drow, and have everything below the waist replaced by a spider's abdomen.

Chii, do not open this spoiler if you want to avoid seeing them- I'm putting it here for others who are more curious about their appearance!

Spider/Drider Warning! Also, not my art. xd

☆★☆ Updated ★☆★

Alright, I've edited each thread with improved information (hopefully)
I've patched up all the holes, I've sent all the PMs...

Things should be good now.
Hopefully no one will delete or add additional posts in their designated thread.
Those threads are yours, but they are really just for the Mods to check everything in one place and stuff.
It's easier to take care of EACH artist rather than EACH day.
Plus, there's timestamps.
So we don't have to micro-manage as hard.

We have 55 artists actively creating art! heart

Not surprising, honestly. The same thing happened with Mitali/Vikali's best friend, Devon. He was originally made as a guy that mentored them (Mitali) through a gaming competition (they're polymeliac with four fully-functioning arms, and the competition specifically made a rule that declared participants can only use one controller and one account because of this), with not much else to him. When I made the Vikali variant of them, he became also a reluctant participant in some of their antics, tries to keep them out of trouble, and tends to steer clear of anything that he considers to be a "dangerous situation" if he can avoid it. Vikali doesn't often let him, though.

I like to think I wanted to make them something more; hence the personality growth. For a character that was meant to be put on paper just once, when I need them again sometime later and suddenly they wouldn't fight fires, or wouldn't hesitate to start one, it's a smidgen irritating. It means I have to put less effort inand make a blander personality. It does lead to pretty awesome dark horse supporting cast. *shrugs*

That... is pretty hilarious, honestly. xd I can understand the irritating part; my next step would be to figure out why they changed to see if I can roll with it. Most of the time, though, my thoughts are more related to how a particular event will affect them.

I haven't yet figured out how to develop a story; I know the formula, the theory..I just can't stick with it. Too much trashbooks I think. Twilight saga and cheesy romance got me in a rut.
I love Stephen King, but he has a formula too. :S Every single character I make evolves faster then the story they were meant to play a part in.

Well, I think the "formula" part may be part of the issue. Even one of my favorite authors, RA Salvatore, is guilty of these formulaic stories, particularly within the Legend of Drizzt. Each part of the series reads much like the rest once you get beyond the Dark Elf Trilogy, though the exact situations differ.

My advice? Screw the formula. Start with a story idea, then flesh the idea out. Figure out how the character(s) will respond to the situation(s) as they arise according to what happened to them before the events began, and make sure to take notes on these reactions so you don't forget. It helps constrain character growth to the story you're working on, even if you work on other projects with the same character(s) at the same time.

As an example, the story I've been working on, ACT II, started with a very simple sentence: "Growing bored as winter presses on the peninsula in full-force, Curio decides that it’s time to find a new family to help." In her case, "help" is not what you'd expect. Her version of "helping" involves removing people from the city... permanently.

She eats them, very literally and very much alive.

Comments: I just wanted to draw some foxes really, since I really like them. :3 Some very simplistic coloring and stuff, but meh... It's either that or no colors.

It's beautiful! I love the color scheme you chose for it and the simple coloring makes it really complex looking anyway. Nice job! : )

heart I'll have to try that! I definitely need a solid character list before I start though. That's not something I've actively done. XD heart
