what type of camra do u guys use?

I have the following

Minolta x-700
Canon Rebel 2000
Pentax Super Me
Pentax 645
and a Pentax K10D
with too many lenses D:


Megapixels is the size of your image, not the quality of it. So it only really matters if your printing huge prints.

And sense your posting pictures, I'll throw in 2 landscapes and 2 portraits ;D

Im not sure if I ever replied to this so... (Oh & Proxiee my studio lighting teacher would hate that last photo. Armpits are a pet peeve of his & I agree its not that attractive. Nice lighting though. What is your studio set up?)

Digital:
Canon 40D (My main camera for photo jobs / school)
Canon Rebel XT (now converted to infrared. Was my first DSLR)
Flash: 430EX + diffuser. So many lenses for the canons. I just got the amazing Canon 10-22mm & I use a lot of film lenses on my digital bodies (mostly Asahi 50mm f/1.4). Lensbaby 3g.

Sony MVC-FD91 (Just for fun. It was my first digital camera. It takes floppy disks & it is less than 1MP. I am trying to prove that a you can take good photos with low res cameras.)

Film:
Sigma SA-7N (My old high school film class camera)
Polaroid 250
Seagull TLR

Studio:
Alien Bees B400s (2 so far)
Several color gels, barndoors, softboxes,snoot, umbrellas, a reflector, & several muslin backdrops.

It wasn't a serious pose. She was modeling a dress earlier and we were goofing around, but I ended up liking it

As for my studio setup, be prepared, its kinda high tech.

Well I like what you can do with your low budget set up. Im guessing you also have the cable thing to get the flash off the camera since the light is to the left side. I should get one of those. That or a battery pack so I am able to take my studio lights outside.

nope, no cable. I have a very cheap chinese knock off of a pocket wizard. Some cameras dont even need that, they use infrared. Some lights have that trick too, like your alienbees. Just use your camera flash, and they should flash with it sense they can detect flashes. I almost bought alienbees, but bought a Sigma 10-20 instead.

Mmhm I know about wireless setups. Mind sharing a link to your knock off of pocket wizards? Does yours work just as well as the pocket wizard? Id love to get one but id need to book one more event. -crosses fingers for that-
I have heard the Sigma 10-20mm is a decent lens. I recently bought the Canon 10-22mm.

im not sure ):
i dont want to end it cause we just started, and i like making up rounds. but i just dont have the time.
I may just give everyone who entered gold, and then, maybe just have a new theme each week with no judging
maybe ill post a theme each week. and then make a poll for each numbers or something like that. get what i mean?

@daisys: yeah, its fun, but also realyl stressfull. Im starting to work on my calc summer work right now though DX thats not fun
