No it's fine they can meet but I didn't think you were still going to meet her while she was sleeping. I'm gone for now anyways (busy with people IRL) so if you want I can amend my post or delete it. I thought you were going to track her after she woke up though.

Haha, sorry I didnt know a better way to write he was gesturing while talking, I had a feeling you would think he was trying to shake hands - people gesture even if the other person can't see them, like on the phone.

The music was interesting, but Lurp was far MORE interested in the smell coming off of this man. The barfly was there heavily, along with the faint scent of alcohol and the scent of the restaurant. She lifted her nose, hesitant to get close to the man.

Ja'tel continued to play for a moment, eying the dog, deciding if it was at all vicious. He stopped the music for a moment and motioned for the dog to come closer, "Here doggie, is alright." Called the man, putting out his palm to the dog. He felt relieved that there were dogs in this world, it made it less alien. 'Maybe it is hungry' He thought with pity as he reached for a piece of bread from his sash.

I thought we were having them meet while she was sleeping, thought that was the reason for her finding Jatel. I'll leave it up to you though. If you would prefer they met while awake, I will make it work. (Hope you are having fun with your people IRL)

Whoah.... A lot has happened since I was last on... Can't believe how busy things have been... we had a death in the family... and I've been tutoring non-stop, but I'm glad I checked in today!

The next round of the competition looks intense!!!! Such creative questions and settings to place our characters in... I'm going to have to do some serious thinking about what to do with Colter in this stage!!! I wish now I had done some RPing, even a couple of times, and gotten to know some of the others better... I would feel kinda bad using other peoples' characters if I don't know them at all...

Also, can't believe there are more prizes!!! Woe is offering art now!!! *low whistle* The stakes have definitely been raised!

Good luck to all in this round... I think we all need it... but I'm sure everyone selected is up for the challenge... you all have such wonderful OCs... and such creative minds. : )

'Maybe it is hungry' He thought with pity as he reached for a piece of bread from his sash.

Lurp was comfortable as a dog. Dogs were everywhere and they could go unnoticed. Even so, her mutt form had occasionally brought it's own share of problems. Looking like an owned dog often meant people trying to capture you to find your owner. On the other hand, looking like a stray could result in hostility. Lurp had once been kicked good in the ribs by a mage who first turned his foot to fire. Lurp was naturally untrusting, but she'd been even more careful since then. Still, if she could get this man's scent, it might make it even easier to track her target. Two threads, if they are intertwined, are easier to follow than one.

Lurp inched forward, lowering her head and whining. She watched Jatel with sad brown eyes.

Ja'tel smiled at the dog as if it somehow encouraged trust. He removed the bread he had hidden for a future meal and tore off a small portion. He knelt and continued to coax the dog. "No place to go eh? You and me both little friend." Often back home he had made friends with stray dogs in the streets of Qassemi, the desert trade city. Mainly this was because they were the only living things he would come across at odd hours of the night, when he did his work. Also they trusted him despite his dark appearance.

Lurp was not about to get close enough to this man to let him touch her. Even so, a little closer wouldn't hurt and might help her gather the scents better. She moved forward by mere inches again. She stopped and whined, shifting her weight from one foot to the other, to convey a sense of anxiousness. Hopefully that would make the human think she would bolt if he got closer.
