Question for the thread:

If you happen to know a decent amount of history behind Teagan, what alignment would you say she is?

I looked over the Dungeons and Dragons alignments on Wikipedia, and I dunno if any of them really fit well. Or maybe I just don't get it because I've never played D&D. lol

I looked over the Dungeons and Dragons alignments on Wikipedia, and I dunno if any of them really fit well. Or maybe I just don't get it because I've never played D&D. lol

Ahaha, but where's the fun if there's no conflict?

Good-aligned characters have conflict. (and I may have spoken out of line...my memory of the entered characters and their behaviors/morals is a tad dusty) Just because Pahka and Robin are both good-aligned doesn't mean they'll really get along, Pahka is more neutral good than lawful or chaotic good. And he has his share of inner conflict, not to mention sees no problem with stirring up conflict if he perceives some good could come of it. ^~^

Conflict is great, I thrive on conflict in my stories. I wrote a piece for NaNoWriMo that had very little conflict in it apart from the two lovers not getting together for a while, until the end when everything exploded. It nearly killed me.

That being said, there are several characters here that I personally would love to see Pahka interact with, just for the conflict of interest/personality. ^~^

From what i have seen, I would agree on both accounts. I'm familiar with the dnd system, but I have yet to figure out lam's alignment. She began as something like Chaotic Good, but she has almost as many moments of other alignments as that one, so it's hard for me to say. Easier for me to say is the New World of Darkness's system for Virtue and Vice (how you get willpower back) Lamia's is Charity and Wrath, though pride is a close second ^^ Where would Teagan and Rivek fall?

Ugh, I've been trying so hard to think of a combination for Teagan but I can't. :c Nothing seems to fit well at all.

I guess for vice...Teagan is vengeful...does that fall under wrath then? So she's wrath for her vice..

But I don't really know what her virtue is. She's passionate and a romantic dreamer in the beginning of her life, then when she's captured working as an assassin, she's just kind of following orders.


EDIT: My final answer is going to be Hope and Wrath.

If anyone is looking for company in Serendipity Robin is lonely herself. She may be a bit of a goody-two-shoes but if you can put up with that she's a great conversationalist... :')

Well, yes, but Teagan's is a weird case...she didn't exactly choose to be in her profession. She was originally captured by the guild and abused, then trained later on. Her first murders were done under the guise that the targets were evil men themselves. Back then she believed that at least her forced murders were justified. Later on her targets became more and more questionable...

I suppose she's still evil though, after all, she COULD have decided to die instead of work for those men. But she hoped that if she worked for them long enough, eventually she'd gain her freedom.

Allowing his gaze to settle upon the young man, Borrek's eyes were slightly unfocused as he considered Seist's words. One of Laresh's men? Borrek could not have imagined a less likely person to be seeking his wares. Either the man was a liar or he was misled. Borrek had heard that one of the new soldiering units had been disbanded on Laresh's watch and that one of them had gotten away... could it be this man that Borrek's goods were intended for? And poison... it would be poison.

Still, how this man had come by the information was impossible to determine - nothing he said could be trusted. Likely, this was some ploy for something else - a trap, perhaps. And that was where Borrek would need to be cautious. He was a careful man, and had avoided all political entanglements with the guild by not being hasty. Even the most carefully laid plans, however....

That Borrek had no idea who his clients were, that Laresh was not a man to involve himself in the guild, and that Borrek would never intercede with the guild on behalf of a stranger for any amount were all constants.

He would share none of that information with the young man, however. Borrek was not about to start giving away his clients at the first hint of trouble, and he was not stupid enough to double cross the Guild. But it could not hurt to cautiously gain more information.

"I see," he said after Seist finished talking. "You come trading for information but mention baubles. Or do you use the term 'valuables' generally? I assure you, I have no end nor want of trinkets and gold." Folding his arms across his chest, Borrek grew silent once more.
