Eclipseon - the World Catcher
The legend of Eclipseon was actually no legend - it was true. The wise rule of the Lady prevented its location and story from stepping out of the mythical shroud which had been woven to hide it. Eclipseon was dangerous.... and chaotic. A secret best left alone.
Once, though, it had been common knowledge.
When an Outsider came to Serendipity, whatever magic brought them also created a link to their world. The great sorcerers of Cerxes believed that this link, this token, was the tie that bound the Outsider to Serendipity, instead of their true path. A prison of sorts - one with great power. It was also believed, that this 'prison' token would grant its true owner the ability to manipulate the link to their world. Change things that had happened, that would happen, return them to the world, and even destroy it...
Eclipseon was a towering dark and pale temple hidden by a chaos storm - its entrance was concealed in the stark hills off of Cerxes. The main level descended to a vast underground labyrinth, and eventually rose out of the darkness to carve the steps up to the Chamber of Worlds where the tokens appeared - were snared - and remained for eternity. Unless....
It was guarded carefully for the Lady by her three Princes. All manner of traps, pitfalls, and dangers awaited those who somehow managed to divine Eclipseon's location. It was said that the Princes used great power that caused the dangers of the temple to change; the spell resonated in harmony with the intruder - changing itself as needed to best defend against them. No two people alone saw the same challenges in Eclipseon.
