Semi-Official Role Play

If there's anyone around in 20 minutes time I will be hosting some semi-official RP for Kimaya. 3nodding See Page 55 for the back story to this set up. Everyone is welcome!

It is not a direct follow-on from last weekend but it is related. wink

If no one is around I will still be RPing, but I'd rather not do it by myself... xd

For a time Lias wandered, getting a lay of the land, although he largely ignored the people around him. When he came to the central square, busy and crowded, he snarled to himself irritably; before it gave him an idea.

His powerbase back on his home of Ethereal had been forged over his entire life and all down to his own power and the reputation that preceeded him, while here he was just another Joe as far as anyone knew, and he wasn't prepared to spend another lifetime. He was too impatient for that.

So instead...he would need to use these people here, a whole new tactic that he had never needed to use before, but now it could make everything. He would use the people, gather...followers. The idea made him almost laugh with the obsurdity of using pathetic little humans for his gain and yet, well, their fear had always been useful to him. Why not here as well?

Looking around, the self-titled Demonmaster Lias raised his hand, gathering inside it a tiny ball of flame and magic, bright blue specked with orange; he threw it towards the nearest building which caught on fire in a violent explosion of colours and screaming of powerless little people. In a strange way it was beautiful. It was certainly...well equiped to catch attention.
I will be heading to bed in about an hour, but if anyone does want to reply to the post, I will happily pick it up throughout the week and just work it into the casual rp instead. 3nodding

Astra had just made her way to what seemed to be the central hub of the city when she saw an explosion. Her cold blue eyes fixated immediately on the source of the outburst, not he outburst itself. With the barest, smallest tinge of an amused smile she loosened her sword in its sheith across her back and walked towards the man with the flecked white and brown hair. No matter where she went it seemed there was always some douche or other throwing his weight around.

Astra could sense he had power, but from her there was not a feeling either way. If anyone could sense her energy it was a contained and controlled feeling, not a shroud or hidden power per-say, just something that was complex and not easily understood. What she was capable of would be unclear. Astra actually had very little idea of what she was capable of herself. This fact also was unknown to her.

To all appearances she was a very beautiful human. Too beautiful. This lay in the fact that she was actually an elf. However her ears did not betray this lineage. The telling, elongated, pointed, and curved ear tips had been meticulously shaved off. It was something someone couldn't notice unless they were kissing distance away from her. Though the only men she let that close were about to get the kiss of death or a knee to the crotch. The latter the most favored. Men were dirty and disgusting to her. She would only touch one to fulfill her occasional need, and in order to do that she had to be somewhat inebriated.

The unusually tall woman with the straight, pitch black hair stood out amongst the fleeing crowd for the fact she was coming towards him and that she was armed, armored and dangerous looking. She stopped within talking distance. Close enough to show no fear, but far enough that she wouldn't have to smell him.

Astra didn't say anything to the man. She just stood proud and strong, and even though she wore her usual expression her riveting blue eyes seemed to be looking down at him. As though she was judging him to be less than her on a subconscious level. And perhaps she was.

Lias laughed at the little humans and....other creatures, he had noticed many others, as they fled him. This felt good; like the old times. In a single moment he could create fear and panic and he buzzed from the feeling of raw power.

Of all it seemed only one was brave enough, or stupid enough, to stand infront of him right now - more may come of course - and he observed her quite lazily, as if it was beneath him to give her the time of day. Still...

He would test her; see if her skill matched her bravery. He could sense a power coming from her but its strength was frustratingly unintellgiable. He was more than confident his own power could match it, could tower over it, whatever it is; he was not the most feared demon* on Ethereal for no reason. At least...used to be...

With another flick of his hand her sent a roar of blue flame in a straight line, along the ground, towards her, a small piece of his power and he would see what she could, or couldn't, do about it.

*a misnomer; so named by the other races on their world for their fearsome reputation as magic users and fighters, their cunning and secrecy. Not to be taken literally as 'demons'.

With a calm few could posses whilst being attacked, Astra let it come towards her, firmly holding her ground. As soon as it was close enough to her that he could not recall it she threw a clenched fist over her chest, her arm twisted in so it was the outward side facing him. On her arm there was a dark grey bracer that had silver etching on it, power symbols in an ancient language. It seemed a strange defensive move, until he could see the fire licking the ground with his energy slowly twist and curve in a funnel that drove itself with the same ferocity as his initial attack into the large purple stone that was firmly embedded within the bracer.

As the stone absorbed the blue flame it turned the purple stone into a blue stone that seemed to flicker with the power of his energy. Her expression didn't change. She showed no fan fair at having thwarted him, and she made no move to counter attack. After a moment of a strained silence she chuckled dryly. "Nice to meet you too."

First one looked gorgeous already, but somehow you made it look even hotter. I like the background in the new one too.
