((ugh sorry for late post got called away by fiance))

Teagan was about to speak, when the man who called himself 'Rivek' took her hand and gently kissed it. She felt her face turn bright red, and instead of looking at him with her usual stern expression, she awkwardly stared at her hand for a few seconds.

That hasn't happened in ages...Damnit all, I'm blushing...badly.

It was amazing that the man had even accomplished the feat of getting close to her at all. What a sneaky b*****d! Normally she wouldn't let anyone just approach her, and certainly not touch her. But he managed to kiss her! It was nearly humiliating.

He's doing this to make me look weak, isn't he. Oh lord, no, he pities me! I look like an underfed orphan child. Ughhhhh...... Well he's done it. He's officially made me look like an idiot. You win this time, 'Rivek.'

She addressed him, though not with the same fervor and confidence she had originally planned on. "Spying is a past time and a necessity..." she stammered, then shook her head and cleared her throat. She then turned to the woman.

"Well, the main point of magic is making it appear that you can do something you really cannot...it is merely a trick. I'm not asking for a show at the moment but so far I haven't exactly seen anyone do anything supernatural."

Teagan looked down at the ground. She felt intimidated again. Obviously these people had been more acquainted to each other than she to them. Once again, out of the loop.

"But anyway, it is...nice to meet you all." she quickly, addressing the three of them.

Nice is such a terribly vague, stupid word.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to accompany all of you while you take a tour of the ship. I was getting rather bored up on deck." Teagan sighed. She had expected her encounter with other outsiders to be more...normal. She was pretty certain that she'd be avoiding groups from now on, as she'd confirmed her inability to make intelligent small talk with anyone else.

Rivek laughed when he saw Teagan blush, "Charming! I could show you something supernatural," he winked.

"I can't say anything with regards to the festival, but I don't think you should feel obligated to spy anymore," Rivek shrugged. "It isn't as if you're bound to some highest duty by an immortal contract, no?"

However, he certainly was. He scratched his arm. "I won't be following you on this scavenger hunt. Who would be around to sell my drinks? Although, it seems like you lack interest. None of you yet has been so kind as to pay what I ask for."

Silvea couldn't help but to have a smile that equated to chuckling without sound. On the inside she was snickering but not in the mean way......wait.....could you snicker.....and not be mean about it? She watched as the poor girl turned bright red. If only she could capture this moment.....but alas she couldn't. What a sly fox Rivek was. She was right that this man or boy as she insisted on thinking of him as, would be amusing and keep her entertained for the meanwhile.

"Necessity? Not so much when we're in an open space, unless you mean necessity as in getting close to a certain someone." Silvea teased the girl as she laughed again. She really didn't mean to come off mean or rude but it was funny and teasing the girl would most likely get another good reaction. "No no, your definition would be of illusion. An illusion is something that isn't real. Magic's definition should be different. And as they say, 'i'll believe it when i see it'...Maybe you'll get to witness this sooner or later, but maybe you'll think of it as an illusion till you get harmed yourself by it or scared."

It seemed as if Silvea's outer appearance scared the girl, seeming that she looked down again. "Do i scare you?" Silvea asked, more of a comment than a statement as she had an eyebrow arched. Teagan....her name was, was also another amusing person. Maybe this night might not end up as bad as she thought. "I don't know if we're touring it or just being lazy and staying, but as far as i'm concerned you're welcome to stay with us." Silvea said with a smile. Not an evil smile. Just a small encouraging one. After all she didn't want to scare the girl off before the night was over. Then again, if she wanted to do that, she could just become mean again and that'd probably be sufficient to frighten her. But where would the fun be in that?

"To pay what you've asked for would require drinking your liquid and/or losing the bet, which none of us have done, so what claims do you have to make us 'pay' you?" Silvea questioned as she looked back at Rivek.

Teagan composed herself before cautiously making eye contact with Rivek. Her face had faded to pink for now, but she cursed the fact she'd blushed at all. Someone as pale as her blushed ten times more intensely then the average person.

"It's not on obligation- not today, today was just all in good fun. ...Sort of." She said a bit softly. "I'm not exactly sure what I'm bound by but I am most certainly bound, Mr...I mean, Rivek. I suppose it comes no surprise to you that I've no recollection of how I got here, and ignorance is a cage in itself."

You're saying too much...

"But anyway, you sell drinks? Excellent! I enjoy drinks. Let me know what you have and I may buy some from you at some point."

Teagan looked a bit sad, thinking about how clueless she had been since she arrived here. But she shook her head once again and then addressed the women.

"Silvea was it? Well for now let's agree to disagree. I'm not sure where everyone else is from originally but back home magic was just tricks for troublemakers." At the question of her being scared, Teagan frowned a little. The words that came next were uncontrollable, and she regretted the tone in which they were delivered as well.

"I don't fear you, I just don't like you."

...

Teagan felt as if there was someone else in her mind, cracking up at her statement. She had said it so coldly, so matter-of-factly.

"...I meant... I don't..know you. I don't instantly...get along well with strangers. Sorry."

All this politeness, for what? She acts like she's above me already...mocking me and my ignorance...as if she....urggh!!! And now I'm weak to TWO of these three people. How am I going to continue working with a reputation like this?!

Teagan took a step away from Silvea, and stood closer to Seist. There was time yet to intimidate him, might as well start now.

I HATE crowds....
