So close to food... Maverick was rather hungry, and smelling all the dinners being eaten around the Inn - mmmm. It was easy for her to ignore whatever trouble was being stirred up between the winged man and whoever was sitting there. She could even ignore the random burst of fire. Almost there...

And then the door got kicked in.

Twisting away from one that had gotten rather close, the wanderer instinctively lashed out with an illusion of pain and fear, to get her attacker to back off as she pulled her own blade. Well, this was just not her day, and the nature of Serendipity made it hard to control her magic...

"Wait, is that... Danique..?"

Well, now this would be even more interesting. Admittedly, Rivek had been look for a bit of a scuffle, but this was seemingly out of his league. Suddenly, a bottle - thrown by an odd-looking, horned woman with grey skin - hit him in the back of the head. "********."

"Oh, pardon my language. Excuse me, your highness." Using Lias's shoulder for leverage, he dove behind the bar, making sure none of him would be visible over the edge. Suffice to say he wasn't buddy-buddy with the government of Serendipity.

He grabbed a rag, three forks, and the open bottle of vodka. The kitchen would be nearby. And kitchens would have stoves. This would do, even if it was.... unconventional.

"My apologies in advance for all damages heretofore," he told the bartender. "Put it on my tab."

Goddamit, he thought. I owe him so much already.

Part of him wanted to get out of here. But then he remembered that last line in his contract - that promised him his rightful form. He quietly unfurled his wings, and his eyes changed from blue to gold.

The plaza was swarming with the armored women - some gang or other, as they made their way from building to building, searching for anyone to cut down.

As luck would have it - the bad type - just at that moment one of the badly battered skyships began to fall from the sky, a dark plume of smoke trailing from it. The descent of the huge pile of shining metal was fast, it appeared that soon it would crash straight into the central plaza, right in front of the Worldspanner's inn... or would it be on top of it?

As Rhyn headed towards the inn's entrance, he spotted a winged silhouette standing outside. As soon as he came into the area, he unmistakably saw the silhouette's head turn in his direction. It must have been a scout they left outside to guard their rear.

"And here I thought I had the boring job" she screeched as she rocketed towards Rhyn, afloat her wings, "more Outsider vermin for the killing!"

She did not hesitate a moment once she reached Rhyn's location. Her sword was drawn quickly from it's sheath and spun towards Rhyn, aiming directly for his throat. She meant to kill, and quickly.

Keiyani let out a yelp at the sudden, mess of an intrusion that had taken place. People were screaming and frantic. What is going on here? As she made to exit the inn quickly, a winged woman blocked her path, bearing down on a dunken man who had stumbled. Oh for- she ran toward the woman, clawing with her altered hand. "Back off" she shouted. This was insane. Darting around the corner she ran down a nearby alleyway. Leaning against a wall, she took a deep breath and proceeded to change her right arm as well. It took longer than it seemed time would allow for, to change completely, but she needed to bring up some defenses.
