"Ah, well... it is difficult for me to say," she responded slowly, choosing her words carefully. She was hesitant about divulging too many specifics about her life before Serendipity, especially before she had become familiar with the law and general sentiment of the world regarding her kind and former position. "But! Your power, you say?" she brightened, changing the subject and glancing at his wings with minimal head motion. "It doesn't surprise me; they look magical-I'm certain if they had voices, they would sell themselves! But, since they have not spoken...I will assist." She drew herself up and, turning to the crowd, addressed the people walking by.
She called to all kinds of people as they passed, young and old, rich and poor. "You there! Yes, you sir! Can you tell me how many of you are charmed by this gentleman's wares? Unless my eyes deceive me, your lady has already been taken under their spell."
"Discerning sir, a mask of feathers is far beneath your station. Come look upon the finely crafted precious metals of this man's creations."
"You, young man!" She addressed a young man in danger of being swallowed by his tattered sweater and over-sized top hat. "Have you looked upon the great metal-smith Melin's spectacular masks? No? Well, come and look, they are a sight to be seen! Then go and tell your friends of Melin and his grand work."
OOC: Assume your character has been/are being hawked by this moon-masked lady if anyone wants to join in later ^^
The top hat turned towards her, and the sweater slowly inched over, cautiously. Staring up at the beautiful masks, the boy gaped with breathless awe.
"Wooow." Then, in a brighter, optimistic voice, sounding almost proud of himself somehow, he added, "Can I have one? I'm an
orphan." His grin wasn't visible, but was apparent enough in his voice.
