Devaena's words sent a chill down Lurp!Riv's spine. “Little ruse?” She knew? This was bad, very bad. Still, this just meant Lurp would have to fight her again, and this time finish the job. Could that ball spell hit a moving target. In the split second it takes Lurp to make battle plans it occurs to him. If she knew what he was, she wouldn't be asking about the talismans. And even if she did somehow connect the two, she would have attacked, not be dragging him away someplace. Lurp had proved himself a dangerous enough foe that someone like Devaena would be risking herself by not trying to kill him right away. It doesn't convince Lurp 100% but he decides to stick it out as Rivek. There's still time in the game to change things up later if needed.
“Not human?” Lurp!Riv says kicking in Devaena's grasp as they fly over buildings. “Look who's talking. Isn't that a bit of the pot and the kettle?” Lurp has to remind himself not to look back to see what the real Rivek is doing as they fly away. Is he following? Can he? Does he want him to?
"All right all right, you're scary, I get it.” He changes his attention back to the demon woman holding him. “I'll tell you about the talismans, but I don't know what you want them for. They're only valuable to me and my employer!”
