Welcome to Forbidden Love Tail, a couple art contest by myself, Baise de Lang, and my girlfriend, Heise de Mao. We are
star-crossed lovers on a simple quest: to get art of us together. There will be multiple prizes for winners, anything from
gold to items. We will award all entries some kind of consolation prize if you don't win a bigger one, so everyone's a
winner!

ENDING DATE ANNOUNCEMENT: Mao and I have chosen to extend the contest's FINAL DEADLINE to December 28th, which is Mao's 20th birthday. :3 The last date for WIPs to be turned in for the short extension would then be December 18th, giving you two more weekends to work on entries. Q: You used the wrong "tail" in your title. It should be "tale."
A: That was completely intentional.

Q: What kinds of media are allowed?
A: Almost all media is allowed, except for photographs, avatar edits//pixel dolls done on premade bases,
A: and art that is three-dimensional in real life, such as sculptures. Art made to look three-dimensional is
A: fine though!

Q: I only do traditional art...I'll never win.
A: Mao and I will judge all art fairly, meaning that we will base our decisions on how much we like the
A: piece as a whole, not what it is made with. We equally value traditional and digital media!

Q: Can I put a watermark on my entry?
A: That is a big, fat NO. Mao and I want the art for our personal use, and a huge watermark is not what
A: we want.

Q: How many times can I enter?
A: As many as you want! Each picture you enter has a chance to win a prize, but each picture can only
A: win up to prizes: one from best of show and one from either the superlative or best themed avatar
A: categories. By entering more, you are greatly increasing your chances of winning.

Q: Can I make up my own outfit for you guys?
A: As long as you keep my horns and Mao's ears and tail, you can draw us in any outfit you like. The
A: avatars we posted are what we are looking for, but there is also a prize for best original outfit!

Q: Can my friend and I submit a collaboration?
A: Sure, but I will send the trade to the person who fills out the application form. It will be up to the two
A: of you to divide the prize between yourselves.

Q: Where do I post my WIP?
A: You can either post it in the thread or send it to me in a PM.

Q: Does my entry have to be colored?
A: Not at all! If you feel more comfortable in black and white, don't stress yourself with color.

Ah, the prizes. That's why you're here, isn't it? Just so you know, each picture you submit is only eligible
to win up to two prizes: one from best of show and one superlative/best themed. In order for each of
the each of the "Best Themed Avatars" prizes to be awarded, at least three pieces must be entered
for them. For example: if only two people have drawn Mao and I as merpeople, the prize for "Best
Merpeople" will not be awarded. Likewise, for the "second prize" item for each category, at least five
entries must have been received. In addition, if we have not received what we think is an adequate
amount of entries by the end date, we will extend the contest.
