Chibi Dress-Up! 1mil grand prize, 100k+ weekly! Feb 17!

So, I'm in the very beginning stages of creating a website, and I'm hoping to have super-cute chibi avatars. This is a contest to design cute clothes for them.

Rules:
Your design(s) must be your original work.
By entering, you grant me the non-exclusive right to use your design(s).

Um... I think that's it!

The grand prize will be 1,000,000 gold, to be awarded on May 1st, 2013. However, there will also be a weekly prize of 100,000 gold, for the best entry that week, regardless of the number of entries. (Well, as long as there's at least one for the week!) There may also be one or more 10,000 runner-up prizes per week, to any non-winning designs that I'd still like to use.

The next theme is Hearts and Stars, and the deadline is February 17th! (Please feel free to use hearts OR stars in your entry, not necessarily both!)

Here's a base you can use, although you're welcome to draw your own, as long as the proportions are similar:


Feel free to add a hairstyle to match your outfit!

Some questions and answers:

Q: Do we need to do both male and female versions?

A: Nope! Just female is fine for now -- I'll add a male base soon.

Q: How should we submit our entries?

A: Either post here or PM me -- I'm not fussy!

Q: Can we submit entries for later themes in advance?

A: Yep! You can submit entries whenever you want, and I'll keep track of them here.

Q: Do entries have to be done digitally, or can we draw and then scan/photograph them?

A: Traditionally drawn entries are welcome!

but it was going to be more along the styles
of a site that closed in december called: tinierme.com ~

By the way, if you're gonna make a social website like I think you're trying to make, at least learn CSS or PHP as well, unless you're going to hire someone to code for you (which can be expensive). The website will never look good without CSS/CSS3, and PHP or some other form of database is practically required, or no usernames/passwords will be saved onto the database so they can be used, let alone user information.

And yeah, there's going to be a lot going on within the HTML5 canvas element, but of course there's sure to be plenty of CSS to arrange things. For the back-end, I'll probably be using a PHP-based framework called Yii. And I'm taking on online class on databases so I'll have half an idea about what to do with it. sweatdrop

Hm. I'm not advertising the site, though -- considering the site literally doesn't exist yet, advertising would be a little counterproductive. But I guess I should figure out who I'm supposed to ask about that kind of thing, though. *looks around for someone wearing a mod hat*
