It is kind of based off the WOW tcg. In the WOW tcg you have your Hero card whitch is basically your main character and life total. It his helth is brought to 0 you lose the game. You use a resource system which is basically the mana of the game. Each turn you'll put a card face down in a row called the resource row. this will allow you to pay for your attack cards that your hero will attack your opponent's hero with. You also have Ally cards which are basically you fellow characters that will help you beat your opponenent. Think of it this way Hero card is your Planeswalker and allys are your creatures. You can only have one hero though so you need to make sure to protect it. You also have equipment cards that attach to your hero to boost his power, abilities, and attack.
The game sadly came to an end in 2013. I still enjoy it though. you should look it up sometime.

I've not played Hathstone so I don't know.
The WOW tcg plays alot like Magic the gathering.

I like your avi too. Looks awesome!. Oh by the way I recently bought some World of Warcraft tcg decks. It's prety fun to ply. Reminds me of Magic the Gathering.
