Yeah, that's... a bit weird that they aren't. Since I've seen people with one word titles, I always just assumed you could pick either the adjective or the noun, but I see now that the noun is required. @_@

ah sadly I don't have pics of mine, I don't post full ones totally but I had an L closet cosplay and a professor Layton. maybe eventually I'll get a cosplay up here. owo and I usually make cakes and cookies, I'm not great at making them fully, but I'm slowloy experimenting, fondant is my next goal to use in pastry making :3

I don't hang around Gaia much anymore. The community just isn't as fun as it used to be. A lot of the people I liked left, and that killed a lot of the charm.

Haha, imo is also quite commonly used to mean sweet potato or yam, a very popular veg over there. It probably has a different kanji though. They get a lot of puns by substituting one kanji that can be sounded a certain way for another, if that makes sense. If you remember Cherry from UY, he went by the English pronunciation of the word for his name, Sakuramboo, because an alternate reading of the kanji meant "mad monk." Most appropriate for him, of course.

No, haven't seen Rose of Versailles but it sounds good from what I just read in the wiki. They have all the eps on Otaku Streamers. Want to watch it together, more or less, and share opinions? OK, now I'm giggling inappropriately at the Japanese title because it has the word bara in it and the subject matter is virtually the exact opposite of that genre. I think I should go to bed now, I've been up way too long.

I tried watching Barefoot Gen last night, but only found the sequel (and didn't figure out it was part 2 until halfway through. Derp.) It was pretty good. I guess I've spoiled watching the first one now somewhat...One completely trivial thing that struck me as odd was that the personal pronoun that the children generally used was washi, which I've only heard before from very elderly characters (whatever time period they were set in.)

I've heard of another WW2 anime called Grave of the Fireflies, which is supposed to be extremely depressing. Have you seen it? My BF doesn't want to watch it with me, which annoys me as practically all he watches on TV is war-related, but he watches non-fiction. I think that's a helluva lot more depressing than watching war fiction, because it really happened.

No, thanks for sharing the Soviet history song, that was hilarious.

I had seen some of the Dr Seuss cartoons and looked up more now. It's kind of ironic the way they were displayed on this one site. An image implying that all Issei ans Nissei were just awaiting orders from the homeland was followed by one adjuring racial prejudice... emotion_facepalm Too much propaganda merely embarrasses the nation that produced it.

I saw The World at War when it first came out in the 70s, and way too many times since then. Plus, my BF is a military history buff so I think I've seen every bit of propaganda produced by both sides. Here's my favorite bit. Don't worry, it's not nasty.
