Nah, the husband is in Europe for now, and I'm still living in the States with my roomie. I'm saving up money for either my move to Europe, or his move to the States. It ain't easy. You have to get official government position to work in a different country if you're not a citizen. gonk

That cousin that used to live in Carolina actually moved to a suburb outside of Vegas. xd

She likes it out there, very much. I don't know if I could deal with the heat. I don't tolerate heat very well. I was never a fan of being in tropical islands or beaches or anything like that. I'd rather spend a hundred days in the snow than a week in the heat. The only benefit I see outright is that my room mate wouldn't have to worry quite so much about her joints. They swell up badly in humid weather and rain, and, well... Nevada being a desert, she doesn't have to worry about that joint pain.

Ugh, I hate Florida. No matter how nicely they try to dress it up, it's just a big, muggy swamp to me. It's all humidity and mosquitoes. I try to avoid it like the plague.

New York definitely recognizes our marriage. It's a pity that his country doesn't. Hopefully that'll change within our lifetime. Geez, you had a dramatic day! Good thing you had the presence of mind to call and not just stand around taking pictures with your phone or some other dumb things I've seen people do. I had a major delay in coming home tonight. Someone was killed on the subway. Probably fell into the tracks.

Well, maybe that's it right there. You haven't hung out with them all that much, so they haven't really become friends yet who'd like to hang out with more often. It takes time.

Yeah, I live in New York City. Husband and I were checking out real estate yesterday. One particular apartment (not even an actual house, an apartment) was selling for $27,000,000. Hell, you can buy private islands for three times less than that. I'd love to continue living here, but the cost of living keeps increasing all the time. I might move to Jersey. A good chunk of my family lives in Florida. One of my cousins lived in North Carolina for a while. She enjoyed it. The cost of living must be way cheaper, but as always, the goal is to find work that'll support me and my spouse.

Nah, Scandinavia as in the Nordic countries: Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway. Specifically, I'll be in Finland. About two hours' flight time away from the Arctic Circle.

Damn, they're changing your neighborhood to a gated community? Nice. Very nice. The value of your property will shoot up, big time. I'm looking to buy an apartment sometime in the future. Some two-bedroom condo, something both my roomie and I can stay in comfortably and rent out later in the years.

Ugh, I know what you mean by lonely. My best friends all moved away. One moved 8 hours' drive upstate. Another moved to Pennsylvania. Another moved to Connecticut. I guess it's the smarter thing to do, to leave an expensive as ******** city like New York, but I kind of find it hard to leave this place with my family so close by. Maybe... you should ask your friends why they don't want to hang out with you. It could be a problem that can be easily resolved. Or maybe it's time for new friends, I dunno. It's your call.

I've been all right! Good to hear you're working again. My sister recently got a job working at Gamestop, and a friend of mine who had been looking for work recently landed a hospital job. I'm glad things are picking up for them. It kinda sucked that we couldn't all go out like we used to.

Other than that, I've been slowly but steadily planning out my next vacation. I'm headed to Scandinavia for about half a month.
