Hi Hi,
I know, I know...my existance on Gaia is pretty much nonexistant at this point. Thank you all for keeping the memory of LowTech alive. I miss you all and hope that you are all doing well.
LA Fasion Week was off the hook. I went to many of the shows including Sue Wong (one of my favorite dress designers in the world!), Rock & Republic, Louis Verdad and more. LA was a very different vibe than NYC. I can't explain it, but the East Coast/ West Coast difference was huge.
I also got to see and meet many celebrities when I was in town including Diana Ross, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, and the main guy from Entourage among others. It was way cool. O.o.--I almost forgot--I got to meet Honey from Queer Eye for the Straight Girl. I wanted to beg her to fix me up and use me for an episode, but I was too embarassed/shy to ask.
My favorite part though was getting to see all of the latest fashions before they hit the stores. I don't think I will ever stop loving that perk. It is right up there with goody bags! I did receive some goody bags, btw, but not too many because those tend to be reserved for the VIP's and uber cool people. I on the other hand am just a regular gal with a really cool job. I did however manage to sneek into the VIP lounge one day and get a free manicure from Fran Drescher's (from "the Nanny" wink manicurist. That was fun and it was perfect timing--boy did I need one!
Anyway, that's all for now. I went to the U2 concert on Monday night and it was FABULOUS!!! Both Kings of Leon (openers for U2) and U2 were right on. I highly recommend catching a show if you can still get tix. Which reminds me, you should definitely check out Bono and Rogan's new line called Edun. It is beautiful and conscientious. Basically they use organic materials which are safer for the environment and for the people manufacturing the clothes and they don't use sweat-shops. All of their manufacturing occurs in places with fair labor practices. It's awesome. I don't think they have a website yet, but you can check out some of Rogan's other designs at Rogan or at Loomstate. Let me know what you think!
Miss you!!!

Fashion Week NYC--Feb. 2005 |

Hi Guys,
I am back in NYC for Fashion Week and so far it has been amazing. I went to three shows on Friday--Project Runway (imo Kara is so going to win), The Red Dress Event (benefit for educating women about heart disease), and Gen Art. Project Runway was my favorite because I got to sit across from the Fab 5 (Queer Eye). Actually, they were all amazing shows. Laura Bush was at the Red Dress event as was everyone from Cheryl Crow to Christy Brinkley (old school)--it was really amazing.
Fashion Week is going on until Friday so I will spend the rest of the week trying to catch as many runway shows as possible, in meetings with designers and creatives, and my favorite...drumroll please...shopping. wink
Anyway, I miss you all a bunch and hope to catch up soon. Btw, for spring, green is the new black.
heart heart heart

Hi guys. Sorry...I have still been missing in action. Two weeks ago I was working in Seattle for a few days (and I got to hang out with I_Bite, yoyojo and Fuji_sempai smile ) and last weekand I was in Los Angeles. Last Tuesday, I went to an event for a line called Morphine Generation www.morphinegeneration.com. It was amazing. Fashion show and concert combined. One of the MG designers is also lead singer of a rock band called Suicide Club. Tragic names, but awesome work.
Tomorrow I will be back in LA for an event at a place called Spider Club and Wednesday I have more meetings and shopping in LA.
Finally, I am going to be in NYC from 12/12-12/19. I truly miss you all and hope to have a chance to catch-up and to spend some time in the guild and Prize Patrol soon. In the meantime, please check out the Morphine Generation link above and let me know what you think about their line. Thanks!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope to talk to you soon.
xo,
LowTech

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been missing in action. Things have been really crazy here and I have not had as much time to log on to Gaia as I would have liked. I apologize if you sent me a pm and never received a response. Chances are it fell out of my inbox before I got a chance to read it. gonk
I am very excited about the Gaia Journal feature and hope to use it to keep everyone posted about my whereabouts. That way you'll know whether or not I've been online sweatdrop
I miss everyone in Prize Patrol and the Fashion Guild and hope to catch up with you all soon.
Sunday I returned from a week in LA. I was there for Fashion Week and it was a blast. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week LA I went to three runway fashion shows including one by Sue Wong. I wish I had pictures to post for you, but I don't. Needless to say Sue Wong's presentation was amazing, Maharaji style is "in" and aqua is the new black.
I hope that you all are doing well and as I said above, I hope to catch up with you all soon. This week is slower than usual for me so I am hoping to have some time to spend in the Guild and Prize Patrol. Special thanks to Renaela and Zoo and the other mods who have been taking care of GFG while I have been away. You guys rock and so does the GFG Magazine! wOOt!!! (Gaian Fashion Guild recently launched the first issue of the Gaian Fashion Magazine). Also, special thanks to Shinobi, Monkies Uncle and Psymon for continuing to do awesome charitable work in the Prize Patrol. I've missed you all. Finally--Digger, I've missed you bunches and can't wait to hear what you, Mik and Grandpa G have been up to.
Hugs,
LTG
