There is alot of integrity/professionalism/ethics-morals-values issues with some of the shelter systems.

Finally, if your venue is also your caterer (most often the case with restaurants, but also occasionally the case in other venues), check on any special deals they offer that your group can take advantage of. If there is a room rental fee, ask if this can be waived if your group commits to spending a certain amount of money on food and beverages. Also be sure to ask if any discounted pricing is available (due to the current recession, many venues and caterers are offering deals to attract business).

History shows, government spending does NOT create jobs. It could have a short term stimulative effect if enough money was spent quickly. Keep in mind the American economy is 14 trillion dollars and the Obama stimulus though huge at 787 billion is still small compared to the economy. Also he spread the spending out over time. A good deal of that money has yet to be spent, and they're talking about another stimulus bill!
