Holiday Deals At Your Fingertips
Retailers are expecting holiday shopping to be subdued this year.

Because of that, says CNET-TV Senior Editor Natali Del Conte, we can expect them to push harder to get you to shop by offering enticing deals and coupons.

On The Early Show Monday, Del Conte guided viewers to some quick and easy ways to stay abreast of bargains that might interest you.

Check your e-mail often!

Retailers are being aggressive with their e-mail campaigns, and it isn't all junk mail. You can find some really great deals -- catered to your specific shopping needs.

Retailers may send you coupon codes via e-mail. Read through the promotional messages to see if they're included, then use them.

In preparation for the shopping season, sign up for e-mails from your favorite retailers.

Be proactive about finding coupons

There are plenty of coupon aggregation sites on the Web, but the best way to find a coupon code is to just search in Google or Yahoo for the name of the retailer with the term "coupon code." For example, if you're shopping for clothes at Express, type "Express coupon code" in the search bar, and you're bound to find some great deals.

The one advantage of the coupon sites such as BradsDeals or RetailMeNot is that they keep their coupon codes up to date, while a simple search may give you old codes.

Track "Black Friday" deals

"Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally marks the start of the holiday shopping season and is among the busiest shopping days of the year.

Some sites are keeping track of Black Friday deals for you. You can sign up for e-mail alerts from the major retailers to be told of specials, or just check back regularly to see where the big savings are.

Aggregation sites for Black Friday-specific deals include BlackFriday.Info, BFads.net, and BlackFDay.com.

Sites with daily specials are worth a few minutes when you sit down to shop. Woot.com features a sale of a different item every day, and that's usually worth checking out. Last week there was a BluRay player for less than $200, which isn't the normal price of such devices. They're still hovering around $300 and above.

Help us help everyone find the best deals this holiday season. Pitch in for the special Early Show series, "Early Saves The Holidays."
