united in marriage at the Kumulani Chapel in Kapalua, Maui, on May possibly eleven,
2002, in a sunset ceremony. Rev. Robert Montgomery officiated the
intimate ceremony. Hawaiian guitarist Reiko Nalei Fukino provided
nuptial music, such as the Hawaiian Wedding Song.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peter Kivlan of
Bay St. Louis. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Terry Raymond Anglada
and the late Mr. Anglada of Diamondhead, and Mrs. Warren O'Brien
and the late Mr. O'Brien of Buras, Louisiana. The bridegroom is the
son of Dr. and Mrs. Strawford Hale Dees III of Ocean Springs. He is the
grandson of Mrs. Harold Eugene Haney, Sr. and the late Mr. Haney of
Oxford, and Mr. and Mrs. Strawford Hale Dees, Jr. of Corinth.

The bride entered the sanctuary sporting a gown of matte bridal
satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice adorned with
crystal beading and seed pearls. The white satin skirt flowed into a
sweep train. In her hair, the bride wore a Hawaiian haku lei of white
tuberoses and greenery. She carried a handtied bouquet of white
Cymbidium orchids intertwined with her grandmother's rosary.
Following the ceremony, the bride and groom had been honored with a
personal reception under the white gazebo on the grounds of the
Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. The couple started their honeymoon that evening at
the resort.
On Could 18, 2002, the couple and their families celebrated the
blessing of their marriage in the chapel of the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary Cathedral in Biloxi. The bride wore a formal strapless gown
of diamond-white lace overlaying matte bridal satin adorned with ivory
seed pearls and crystals. The skirt flowed into a chapel-length lace
train. Her waterfall veil of tulle fell from a silver comb of ivory seed
pearls and crystals.
Matrons of honor were Adrienne Theriot and Rachele Walley. Serving
as bridesmaids had been Sarah Dees, Gretchen Dees, Tara Bourgeios, and
Anne-Taylor Smith. The honorary bridesmaids pre wedding have been Holly O'Brien,
Kristin Hingle, and Sharon Sandahl.
Serving as ideal guys have been Strawford Dees III and Scott Dees.
Groomsmen have been Joshua Rimes, Joseph Dunagan, Price Wilmesherr, Donald
Frazer, and Michael Kivlan. The ushers have been Matthew Kivlan and Todd
Sandahl.
Following the blessing, the groom's parents honored the couple
with a gala reception at their residence in Ocean Springs. The couple has
manufactured their residence in Ocean Springs.
