The I have a dream speech will go down as in all probability the greatest speech of all time. The power Martin Luther King Jr.'s voice carried on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial was in contrast to everyone else. A little more than a year ago I stood on these identical steps and thought about Abraham Lincoln and Dr. King. Two males who had dreams, two males who were larger than life. I attempted to place myself inside the audience that day as they heard Kings' voice and heard regarding the dream that King carried in his spirit.

The astounding issue about the speech is that the night ahead of when King and his speech writers place the final touches on the speech it contained nothing at all about the dream.
