Mitchell Gibbs Recently Nominated For ‘Best Score' At The Portsmouth International Film Festival


Mitchell Gibbs is a young, ambitious composer and orchestrator, specialising in bespoke music composition and musical services for the likes of film, television, video games and other visual media projects.

Since graduating in 2012 with a degree in Music Composition, Mitchell has gone on to compose music for award winning short films, feature films and video games. Such as David Izatt's The Jacket [2012], Jack De La Mare's Out of Service [2013] and Aesthetic Games' Dead Crusade [2013]. It wasn't long until Mitchell earned the opportunity to score his first feature film Carbon Copy [2013], produced by Dragon Born Films and directed by Michael Dragnea, due for release later this year.

Mitchell was recently nominated for ‘Best Score' at the Portsmouth International Film Festival [PIFF] for his dark, psychological score on Family Portrait [2014].

Mitchell has influences across the sonic spectrum, from the concert hall all the way to contemporary electronic music. Mitchell uses these diverse influences to create compelling musical compositions "… an excellent choice for creative custom music, and I look forward to working with him again on my next project" – Michael Dragnea, Dragon Born Films.

Since January this year, SMARawTalent, a devision of the prestigious agency SMA Talent Ltd in London, now represents Mitchell.

Charles Edward Alexander Hedger - Conquering The Music And Film Industry

Charles Edward Alexander Hedger is a composer and guitarist with an extensive history in the music industry. His music has been featured in Hollywood Blockbusters such as "Gravity", "Iron Man 3" and "Captain America" and a host of internationally know TV shows.

In 2005, Charles began touring, writing and recording with well known UK heavy metal act "Cradle Of Filth", a job that took him all around the world several time, through several major studios and into some of the biggest and most well know festival stages.

During this time, he was also studying composition and orchestration in order to begin working on film scores and various types of media music. He has become increasingly involved in music for film and TV, having scored films, trailers and adverts in diverse genres and styles.

His own band, "Imperial Vengeance", were formed in 2007. They have received significant critical acclaim and continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with the extreme metal style.
Using huge orchestrations and harmonic content unusual to most metal, the is a personal voice for a varied and highly diverse musician. One reviewer said "Phenomenal - Epic songwriting, a leveled balance of chaos and calm."

Alongside playing and composing, Charles teaches guitar to Degree students at Colchester Institute. In 2012 he begin playing with legendary Norwegian band "Mayhem" which again puts him onto the biggest stages all over the world.

Charles is a graduate of The Guitar Institute of London. He has his own signature series guitar made by French guitar company, "Lag", available as a stock model from all good outlets. He describes it as a "24 fret, double humbucker beast, designed to be versatile and edgy, allowing me to use it on everything from metal albums to math rock tracks."
