Chapter 1 Page 2
"You must be one of them!" She yelled at him, striking at him as he was parrying every blow.
The boy just kept parrying and moving against her, unknowingly getting the hang of things all of this coming to him as if he had just done all of this the day before.
She lunged again, this time he was too slow, her dagger dug into his chest, burrowing and twisting deeper into his chest. He screamed out in agony as the crimson blood soaked his clothing, but although she knew he had been beat the woman kept twisting and turning the dagger all the while a grin of pleasure spread wide upon her face. The boy then blacked out, his last sight was the woman licking the blood from her blade in a satisfied manner.

"When is she supposed to arrive?" King Orrin questioned the cloaked man who had just entered the room. King Orrin grinned his pointed teeth revealed, adding quite a contrast to his slick blond hair and electric blue eyes.
"She shall arrive in two days time, your highnesss," the cloaked creature hissed, "the last word we have from her is that she just stole the Boneshenthi Orb and is making her way across the Talkar forest towards the border."
"Make sure that I am the first one she comes too," Orrin stated, "I don't want any peasants trying to pull anything."
"yesss, your highnesss," The cloaked creature said, bowing and walking backwards out of the throne room. Then as the door closed speeding down the hall. He passed mages, warriors, servants and guards on his way to the front gates, all stepping back in fear. The king's right hand, the hand of death, he was called a monster once human.
He was always the king's best friend, but for now he had plan's of his own.

"Boy!" The voice startled him awake, "boy wake up!"
The boy opened his eyes to see a man clad in armor standing above him, the stench of alcohol wafting off of him as if he had just bathed in it. As he began to look around he saw more men, and a burning fire.

Chapter 1
Identity

The lush trees fell into view as his eyes opened, the smell of sweet spring; the fresh water, the growing vegetation, and even the sweet smell of soil. He sat up and surveyed his surroundings with much intrigue. As he began to stand, his knees wobbled, and his muscles shook tremulously. He did not know where he was, nor who he was. All he knew of himself was what he could see; his garb was a white with a silver trim, like a robe it flowed about him, his hair, which dangled to his shoulders, was that of a platinum color, a glistening silver.
His mind was ablaze with curiosity, everything around him seemed so new, yet at the same time familiar. The sounds of rushing water, of animals chattering from one to another, it seemed like paradise. He walked about the area until he noticed an object sticking out of a shrub, the marble colored object looked to be a stick, until he pulled it out of its entanglements to realize it was a staff of sorts, it was a straight pole which continued for roughly two feet until it ended in a large crescent moon shape, in the center of which sat a small blue orb floating as if magically sustained in the space of the staff.
He gazed upon this affixed for quite some time. Was this his or that of another? He decided to carry it with him.
A loud crash sounded in the distance, provoking his attention. He stared blankly in the direction that it came from. The crashes continued and each one sounded as though it was closer than the last. He did not know what to think of this; should he run? or should he stay to see whatever was making the sound?
The crashing suddenly stopped the last one sending out a great wave of force, lifting loose dust into the air. He could see nothing until visibility was once more obtainable, which occurred shortly after to reveal a dark haired woman lightly garbed wearing a leather pouch about her waist, carrying a dagger in each hand.
"Who are you?" She said, a slight chuckling coming after.
"I" he said, just realizing how sore and dry his throat was, "I don't know."
"Lies!" She said, "you must have been sent to stop me, just another dog in the Nos'Ai militias."
"No I am telling you the truth!" He exclaimed back to the woman.
"Well either way," She chuckled, "I will have to dispose of you as you have seen me and will know which way I leave this clearing."
She charged him, nearly striking him in the face with one of her blades, seemingly out of instinct he rose the staff to meet the blade, which upon striking the staff shattered. She immediately followed up with another attempted blow, but he was faster, another block with the butt of the staff. Her blade ricocheted off, and she kept swinging furiously, more anger flushing in her face with every failed attempt at a strike.
