Vicious Trinity The Red Assassin
General Information
Name: “Vicious” Trinity Aliases: Trinity, Vicious, The Red Assassin Real Name: Serenity Yllystral (Unknown to most) Age: 201 Gender: Female Height: 6’ 0” Weight: 175 lbs Race: Celestian (Explained below) Occupation: Mercenary/ Assassin (mettles in most evil-aligned affairs)
Physical Appearance
There have been many things said about Trinity’s appearance: beautiful, enchanting, deadly, cold, dreadful, strong, and amusing. Just one glance at the assassin and people cannot figure out what exactly to call a woman with such a mixture of physical qualities. Her skin is as white as the clean surface of a porcelain doll’s, but this is clearly an indication of abnormal attributes with flesh that pale. Her red hair is flawlessly fine, but those angular-shaped ears that point out from beneath its strands throw a devious touch onto the visual, red earrings often hanging from the lobes. And her eyes – the greatest mark of her appearance - although they are beautiful with their vibrant red color and strong-suggestive eyes with just that right sense of slyness, the small shaped black pupils symbolize Trinity’s cynical nature. It’s not hard to figure out the assassin’s favorite color once you get to know her: her attires are always made up of red hues, with the occasional black thrown into the mix to make the color theme synergize better. She mainly walks around, almost always, in clothing that has some combat utility, such as her trademark red tight-fitting suit that come accompanied with long gloves that go halfway up the biceps. If she’s wearing casual clothing, it’s a sure bet that she is wearing something combat-ready underneath. Her body shape is built to an athletic peak that is fit for someone as agile as an Olympic track runner or a swimmer. She is in no way in the body build of some of the more stronger woman figures out in the combat world, but she has a nice balance of womanly curves and toned muscle to imply female perfection in physical fitness, orientated more toward speed than strength.
Personality
Trinity’s spectrum of emotions is very narrow. In fact, there are only three emotions you will mostly see from her: uninterested, excited, and anger. She can switch through any of these at will, mainly due to her mastery of acting, capable of emulating almost any emotion with false expressions. It’s because of this skill of hers that no one can ever possibly know how she is feeling. Her personality is summed up in one word: sadism. She enjoys being selfish. She enjoys invoking cruelty on others. She enjoys bathing in the atmosphere of someone else’s pain, whether she or something else caused it. Trinity is the living embodient of the phrase: “I don’t give a damn.”
Ironically, Trinity never says a swear word from the common language. In fact, her speeches are very proper, like a foreign person who is just learning how to speak a new language. You will not see many contractions, but she has a tendency of putting pauses in dramatic speech – once more, part of her sadistic acts. This is mainly due to her social innocence. This does not imply that she is innocent in a personalty way, but rather, she’s so attached to the way she has spoken now that she is not influenced a lot by the surrounding speech patterns of others. It’s a strange phenomenom which mainly comes from her racial attributes, which will be explained in the “What is a Celestian” section below.
What is a Celestian?
A Celestian is a race that lives in the lawful planes of reality. Not quite “heaven”, but it’s a plane that is close to this divine existence, and thus, gains benefits of divine qualities. A Celestian is a fey-like race that are born with the innate gift of supernatural capabilities, whether it be arcane, divine, or spiritually related – divine is different from spiritual in that divine power comes from a deity or god while spiritual power comes from one’s inner soul. Due to this, many of their civilizations are fueled mostly by supernatural means more than technological machinary, much like the civilizations of fey. Another trait they share with fey is the ability to live long lives for centuries, which brings a higher quality lifestyle to the cultures of Celestian, such as learning and gaining wisdom over time. Celestians can stay up for an entire week before needing sleep, though rest may be needed quicker if they are injured or sick. Celestians body types vary, much in the same way humans do, from slim to bulky, and short to tall. Celestians, however, do not get fat. The main reason is due to their diet. They eat only fruits and vegetables, as eating any other food, such as meat, will make them get incredibly sick, often vomiting it due to their bodies not being able to handle it. Many believe that it’s a natural inclination to preserve life, which citizens of such lawful planes mainly uphold as virtues and sometimes written law. Celestians can still gain muscle, which is mostly caused by the inner energies in their body upon working the body intensely, like normal athletes do, as well as keeping up a decent amount amount of food in their diet. And like humans, lacking in physical exercise will lead to only the bare neccessity of the body.
The skin of Celestian are incredibly pale along with a flawless texture. One will never see a pimple, mole, or anything of that nature on a Celestian. Their hair grows easily with a fine texture, but at the right age, a Celestian is capable of manipulating the size, shape, and color of their hair to their choosing. They can only change the color of their eyes, aside from this. The color of a Celestian’s blood is sparkling blue, the sparkle coming from the power that has settled into the race through many generations of living on such a mystical plane. A Celestian’s blood can even be manufactured into doses of energy replenishing potions, of course, a practice outlawed on the plane itself. However, when the blood is allowed to dry, it loses these properties. Drinking a Celestian’s blood raw will contribute a small amount of replenished energy, as drinking one half of all the supply in their body will only give a twenty five percent recovery. Because of the special qualities of their blood, Celestians can fight off diseases and other body-injuring chemicals fast. The body of a Celestian is not immune to sickness, but has good resistance. Celestians require only one of the two environments to breathe: they either need oxygen or a mana-rich area to thrive in. As long as one of these requirements are met in an environment, a Celestian can survive, as their plane’s atmosphere is made up of both qualities.
Skills
Keen Dexterity
Being an assassin has meant Trinity has had to train in a variety of dexterous situations in order to increase her acrobatic capabilities. She can perform such feats as consecutive flips, do the splits, leap across long distances – even fall from high heights up to forty feet without hurting herself – and balance herself along a slim walkway. With the knowledge of distributing the weight of her body, her training can be said to be similar to that of ninjutsu.
Swordsmanship
Before she was The Red Assassin, under her real name Serenity, she use to train in the art of using the sword back at her home town. Whoever her teacher was is not known at the time, but whoever it was had taught her how to use a claymore quite well. Her style can be compared to that of the European style of swordsmanship. With the many years that she had learned of using it, including the longevity of a Celestian’s life, the fighting art has been honed into her body to the point that she still remembers it, even having forgotten a lot of her past life.
For a long time, Trinity went without using a sword in her early life as an assassin. When she did pick up a blade, it happened to be the katana, which was considered a conventional weapon to have when in stealthy operations or attempting sneaky manuevers in combat. She spent the next part of her life honing this skill, which wasn’t hard to translate over to with the muscle memory of her past training locked into her body, abeit sloppy after many years of non practice. Due to the odd mingling of her new katana training, it created a hybrid style of sword fighting that combined the strengths of both styles, resulting in a very flexible sword style, whether she was using a claymore or a katana. Upon her acquiring the Hellfire Blade, which is a claymore, she has once more rehoned her past skills with a western-style sword.
Daggerplay
Anyone can bring a knife up to someone’s throat from behind and slit his or her throat. Only the skilled can cut up to five areas in the span of a second on someone’s body before they can even blink standing right in front of them. Trinity’s manual dexterity allows her to skillfully use a dagger or a long needle with the nimbleness of her fingers. Her accuracy when throwing them can make a man cry considering she has a small margin of error when it comes to using knives in this way. Though she is capable of doing a few playful tricks with daggers, such as juggling and spinning them, she keeps to the more practical uses of this weapon type.
The War Fan Style
A very unusual style that Trinity learned from a woman from the East by the name of Juiraya. During a two-year mission to kill an influential leader in the province of Hungba, Trinity posed as a student learning the Chinese martial arts, mostly around the Southern Shaolin styles such as Hung Bar and a few animal styles. Thus, she was able to pick up some kung fu during this assassin job. However, the meat of her gain was through her mentor, Juiraya, who was unaware that the woman she was training was here on a killing mission. Juiraya was merely a way of keeping close to her target’s affairs, due to being part of his palace. It was through their relationship for the period that Trinity was there that she taught the strange art of the war fan. Once considered an impractical art, a few dedicated people had picked up the large weapon long ago and learned to wield it in interesting and creative ways. A favorite usage of this style was manipulating the wind through the fan’s movements.
Using a war fan caught Trinity’s intrigue, surprisingly. For a woman who enjoyed keeping attention on her to a minimum, she saw the war fan as a symbol of power, a way to impose her reputation more into the world of specialized killers. She was in the period of her life where she was beginning to grow her notoriety, so was looking for ways to increase that appeal. This style made use of a war fan that is usually four to six feet long, made with a heavy handle and bladed folds. When closed up, the handle could be used like a large club. When open, the weapon could be swung in large cleaving motions, controlling the distance around the wielder, which required the control of motion that is gained by martial arts. Thus, after her mission was complete, killing her target, she remained in the country for another three years to learn this art to a decent level of potency. After she learned all that she could, which was the point that Juiraya proposed that she now go out and learn the rest on her own, Trinity revealed to her mentor who she really was, only to challenge her to the death. This challenge was to see how well she had learned the war fan art. If Trinity won, she would kill her teacher. If Juiraya won, then Trinity would never bother her again. In the end, the Red Assassin won. But before she killed the woman, she used a sealing power granted to her by the Red Leviathan housed in Trinity’s body, trapping Juiraya’s soul inside her personal war fan, which Trinity came to own – thus calling it the Juiraya War Fan.
Tools Of The Trade
Trinity is essentially a hitman, or hitwoman, though she prefers the term “assassin.” An assassin, in a lot of operations that require stealth, needs a few skills in order to thrive in their art. One of these skills is lockpicking. Trinity has encountered a variety of locks in her life to where, with the right time of investment, she can pick it open. However, the propotion of time it takes to pick them is proportional to how difficult the lock is in the first place. Small simple locks will take only a few seconds to open while big door locks that guard some sacred treasure – if it even possesses a lock – will take a few minutes. Usually, she just needs some small twizzers or even needles to pick a lock, though more difficult locks will require more sophisticated tools, which she usually has on hand to begin with.
Another skill she has is trap making. Trinity can take a list of available scenarios and items on hand and create a reasonable trap in minutes. With a collection of the many she has made during her life so far as an assassin in her head, she can use her past experience to formulate effective traps with ease. However, just like lock picking, the more “powerful” she wants this trap to be, the more time and resources she will require to make it work.
Arcane Knowledge
This is a more general area than specifically “arcane”. It doesn’t just specify sorcerer magic, but also spiritually and divine powers. Trinity has a basic and intermediate understanding of how the supernatural works. With a good time of instigating, she can come up with a general idea of how a supernatural entity operates, though not with intricate details that a wizard could probably do with some magic appraisal. She can decipher the element of an ability, its type, and how it’s activated if there is one. However, her speciality leans toward spiritual powers since she her own abilities feed off spiritual energy, so has a better understand of that area than the other two types of powers. In addition, she can read runic languages pretty well, having studied runic magic for a century.
Technology Naivety
This is one of Trinity’s flaws and a very important one at that. She has been so attached to magical technology more than “machine” technology that she doesn’t even know how to use devices such as a computer, cellphone, or even a calculator. No, Trinity is not bad at mathematics, but she doesn’t do any complex equations with variables or the like. Her intelligence lies along the areas of combat, assassinations, arcane, and enough about sociology to perform espionage operations. The problem with her line of thinking is that she can sometimes be tricked right into a trap, and she would not even care. She can see obvious set ups, but more detailed and finely made traps will pass her field of observation. Her confidence blinds her common sense sometimes, giving her a reckless attitude. On the plus side, at least she knows how to drive a car.
Emotional Control
As summarized in the Personality section, Trinity has great control over how she appears to others, from body movements to facial expressions. She can keep nervousness absent, anger hidden, and do all sorts of tricky manipulations with her emotion to throw off others’ spectations of her. Not even looking into her eyes will give any results for the more psychological specialists.
Supernatural Abilities
Passive
Spiritual Power
Trinity's source of power is drawn from her spirit and her soul. It is similar to chakra, ki, and other energies like it, with only one key difference. Due to being possessed by the Red Leviathan, a deity of great power for a very long time, her power has tainted Trinity's spirit, resulting in her energy output giving off a red color, in addition to the capability to use powerful abilities due to having a part of a deity's power in it. She uses this bank of energy in a variety of ways, mostly for the abilities to follow.
This energy comes with a regeneration factor, capable of increasing the healing of both energy resources and physical resources. Normally, after expending most of her power, it takes an hour to gain most of it back along with healing most wounds, but without rest, there is a penalty that follows to where how much she gains back is decreased. She can use her energy to fuel her stamina, but she will be sacrificing the ability to use a good portion of her abilities. Basically, if she was very wounded, but still had energy, she could use it to replenish herself and allow her to continue on, whether to fight or flee. Usually after rest, she is returned to full status, including regenerating any physical part of her body she may have lost.
To put it in technical terms, Trinity starts off with 100% of her energy per day. This percentage decreases as she spends for supernatural abilities. Every hour without rest after spending at least 50% of her energy in a single session, the max amount of energy she can recover decreases by 10%. It will stop at 30%, but go no lower.
Stronger Than She Appears
It is a known fact that in a world filled with all sorts of supernatural beings, not having the capabilities to stand up against one of them face to face is foolish. It was only a matter of time before Trinity made use of her soul to draw spiritual energy and increase her physical potential. In her life as Serenity, she used this power more for channeling spell-like abilities. However, as Trinity, she uses it purely for more physical means. Because she has this power circulating through her body 24/7, Trinity’s physical capabilities are greater than what her build can normally do. She can break a person’s ribs in one solid punch. She can run up to a speed of forty miles per hour in five seconds and keep this speed for two minutes. She can lift up to 1500 pounds of force over her head. If she takes a strike from a bat, it’ll leave a bruise before it can even break her bones. Thus, her body is physically strong by supernatural means. However, she is still as heavy as her weight implies, so she gets no increase in density. This physical buff decreases the more energy she uses for other means. She can choose to spend 25% of her energy in order to keep this effect stable for an hour. However, this means she can only recover up to a max of 75% of her energy upon regeneration.
Supernatural Vision
A property developed from being a Celestian. Trinity can see things beyond the realm of reality. She can see ghosts or any other ethereal-like constructs, see in the dark – unless it’s magical darkness, and can see feint imageries of invisible things, person or object.
Lively Hair
A creative use of the Celestian’s ability to manipulate their hair, Trinity has found a way to use it as a means of “watching her back.” Reserving energy for this passive ability, Trinity’s hair can pick up a wide range of movements in a one hundred eighty degree arc behind her up to ten feet. She cannot decipher the shape or any other specific detail of what is moving, but she gets a general idea that a) something is behind her, b) its general size, and c) where it is in relation to her. Only when her hair is covered is when she cannot sense anything in this nature. In addition, the strands of her hair are razor sharp, so anyone who slides their hand through her hair, other than herself, will get cut.
Mind Reboot
A rune tattooed on the back of her skull – which at the time she made her head bald – activates whenever Trinity looses conscious by some outside means, such as a sudden concussion or spell-related abilities. In ten seconds, the rune will reboot her mind, returning her to consciousness. Afterwards, the rune has a cooldown time of five minutes. The rune does not work if Trinity falls unconscious willingly, such as being drained of most of her energy from heavy fatigue, going to sleep, or knocking herself out.
The Mind of a Psychopath
Trinity is not immune to mind techniques. This has been shown on the many occasions of people being able to get into her mind and screw with her memories. She has resistance to them, but not enough to help her against the many telepaths and psychics out there. She has one defense against people who penetrate her mind, and its not intentional. Because Trinity's pysche has been so twisted and manipulated over the years, from casues of trauma, magical means, and her own delusions, no one can really comprehend how her mind works. It's like walking into a paradoxical space where you cannot tell what's up or down, left or right, and whether you're moving farther or closer. Thus, a psychic that goes into her mind has a chance of getting lost and even getting trapped there if they dwell too much.
Active
Red Fog
Trinity's trademark ability. It is a fog-like substance that she can create at any time from her energy, used for a variety of things that normal fog could never do. Not to mention, this fog holds no water-related properties. The only thing that makes it up are the particles of her red-colored energy. Her fog can act as cover like any normal mist, able to increase or decrease the opaqueness of it whenever she wishes, from being able to see through it to not being to see anything through it. Due to the fog being of her, she can read whatever is within it as if she was looking at it, but cannot make out visual distinctions, such as color. But she can sense shape. The fog can change into any shape that Trinity wishes. The smaller it is, the more thick it is, meaning moving through it is harder, consequently able to slow or even stop projectiles. The larger it is, the more shallow it is, meaning moving through it is no different from moving through normal air. To make the fog lethal, Trinity can do two things: make the fog as spiky as needles, sticking any who touches it or is within it, or she can suffocate a person of oxygen simply by removing it from the occupied space.
When created, the size of the fog is directly proportional to how much energy she invests in it. If she invest 10% of her energy, the fog can fill a ten-foot distance. If she invests 25%, it can fill twenty feet. If she invests 50%, it can fill up to one hundred feet. The fog’s duration requires a separate investment of energy, so she has to balance size and time duration to not expend her energy resources. 10% of her energy will have it last for three minutes (or size posts). 25% will have it last for ten minutes (twelve posts). And 50% will have it last for twenty minutes (twenty five posts). Trinity is capable of going over 50% expenditure, which will only scale the variables higher, but it’s a risky move that she won’t make unless she is sure of success. As for how far Trinity can control the fog, she can move it away from her body up to fifty feet.
By focusing on a specific area within the fog, Trinity can have it condense in that area to allow her to do feats such as pull or push on something as if there was a hand there, able to affect up to 40 to 300 pounds, depending on how much power she placed into it to begin with. She can even constrain a person with the fog, which requires that she had invested at least 25% of her energy to make the fog. This capability also allows her to control any element that is present in its vicinity. She is not capable of controlling the elements like a true mage or elementalist, but she can mimic many things as if she was a psychokinetic of the arts, just at smaller scales. With air being the constant element the fog is in contact with, she can create gusts of wind and do other physical manipulations, once again proportional to how powerful the fog is. Popular uses are: maintaining flight, deflecting projectiles, creating a vacuum “suckage”, and pushing stuff. Anything that is just normal affecting the air is a capable feat, of course with limitations due to not being an aeromancer.
In the presence of fire, as long as its normal fire, and not fire under anyone else’s control, Trinity can grow the size of a fire by keeping a constant supply of oxygen or snuff it out entirely by suffocating it of oxygen. She can minorly move fire toward other directions to spread it if she wished. She even has the capability of decreasing or increasing the temperature of the fire by 500 degrees by infusing her fog’s power into the fire itself. More creative uses of affecting fire is molding it with the movement of Trinity’s hands and launching it at someone in a makeshift fire projectile. She can even do a decent flamethrower affect as long as she has enough fire around her.
In the presence of water, her manipulation of it is in the same vein as manipulating air: she can move it around and make it do some interesting physical maneuvers. As long as her fog is big enough, she can contain a barrier of water and use it to slow and/or stop attacks sent toward it. Ironically, she can create real fog by gathering moisture, whether it is from a water source or an atmosphere high with humidity, which can be used to grow the range of her own fog at the cost of its efficiency and used as cover. Using these capabilities, she even has the mundane effect of making it rain in a small area.
In the presence of earth, it’s as simple as if she was affecting any other physical object. She can throw earth, move it around, gather it together, and even grind earth into smaller sizes to create a sort of “sandy” material for whatever purpose she comes up with.
There’s a different set of rules when it comes to dealing with supernatural elements, such as magic. Because her fog is made of her energy, depending on the nature of the magic, her fog can end up being destroyed. For example, if she used her fog to stop a fireball, depending on its strength and the strength of her fog, it will either decrease the effectiveness of her fog while being destroyed, will destroy her fog and pass right through with decreased power to itself, or both will cancel out. This is going under the assumption that she is directly blocking it. She can “direct” the movement of the fireball away from her at the cost of decreasing the effectiveness of her fog. Her fog mainly deals with physical manifestations of magic. Since there are a variety of different physical magic out there, the situations will be dealt on a case by case basis, with the above parameters acting as a guideline.
Runic
Trinity has been using runic magic for a very long time in her career, and it has only been augmented by the knowledge gained from her love partner, Maria. Runes give special enhancements to her body and abilities one normally wouldn’t have without having to need a enchanter or other wizardy-like person granting these abilities as support. At the cost of some of her energy, Trinity can activate specific abilities that give her a better array of options outside physical force.
Summoning Weapons
Trinity has a pocket dimension that is linked to the runes upon her arms. By activating it, she can summon her weapons into her hands by will, and desummon them. However, she can only summon up to two weapons at a time, and the runic then has a cooldown time of three posts. Each weapon has a rune etched personally onto it by Trinity, which gives them the link to this dimension. Because of this, she cannot warp anything else into her dimension unless she sits down and spends one day inscribing her rune onto an object. The secondary ability is that she can recall any weapon back to her hands, as long as it’s in line of sight. Trinity can desummon a weapon if she wishes, even if it’s outside her line of sight, but the weapon must be within one mile of her. The weapon does not carry anything else with it when desummoned, meaning, even if it’s wrapped up in cloth, only the weapon will disappear.
Teleportation
A very useful technique. Trinity has never been a fan of this ability, calling it cheap, even for her standards. However, when she was granted this ability, she decided it would be best used for traveling long distances, which is just what she uses it for. She can teleport to any place that has a rune of hers inscribed at it, teleporting within one hundred feet of it. She store up to five places. If she wishes to do a new place when this is maxed, the new rune she inscribes will overwrite the first rune. She can use this ability ten times per day.
Runic Helm
A spiritual replacement for a physical helmet. By spending 20% of her energy, Trinity can activate a spherical forcefield around her head that protects her from attacks up to ten posts. This forcefield cannot be seen unless someone is able to see spiritual energy; otherwise, they see a faint milky-white shape of its existence. Whenever it’s struck, whether one can see it or not, the field will flash for a second. Not the kind of flash that blinds someone, but more of a bright indication that the field was hit. The runic helm protects only from physical force – as well magic that is carried through physical means, so it can also guard against pure magical beams, and decreases the force by half. For example, she can survive a bullet shot to the head. It won’t kill her, but it will seriously disorientate her. Usually, it may even knock her unconscious depending on the power of the bullet, which is when her Mind Reboot rune comes into activation.
More Lively Hair
Her hair can be used in more active means with the right investment of energy. She can grow the length of her hair and have strands bundle together to act as extra arms, usually creating two or four main hair limbs. If she creates only two limbs, each one is capable of lifting twenty pounds each. If she creates four, each one can only lift ten. The hair is very good at gripping. With its sharp texture, Trinity can even slice someone’s throat. However, the more bulk the hair is, the less likely it’ll be able to cut anything, sacrificing sharpness for durability and strength.
Ki Blasts
If Trinity wanted, she can decide to just use her spiritual energy rawly, and use it in the way many monks use their spiritual power. She can shoot “blasts”, basically spiritual projectiles, of her red energy, which power is only proportional to the time and energy put into them. She can do beams, as well. These forms of power are usually shot through her hands, feet, eyes, or even her mouth. One high risk move she can do is explode a substantial amount of energy from around her entire body, and have it force anything within five feet of her away. But this expends 30% of her energy upon use. Another unique move is forming a disc of energy that she throw like a frisbee, allowing it to slice through things up to a distance of fifty feet before it’s destroyed, though it can also be destroyed by running into a dense enough object that cannot be easily cut through, depending on the power she invested and the durability of the target.
Supernatural Ward
Primarily inscribed on her arms and legs are special runes that activate a barrier that increases her resistance against any supernatural ability. There are up to three runes on each limb. The more that are active, the greater her ward becomes. When all of them are activated, most attacks of this nature, even if they are in a physical form, will lose their supernatural potency when they contact her. This applies to all attacks, no matter how they are attacking her, whether it be through trajectory means or a targeted ability that doesn't require to move through space to affect her. This ability allows her to fight most high tier opponents by allowing her to take on their powerful abilities.
Trinity can start off with three runes activated. To activate the next rune requires the use of one post to do so. Activation costs 10% of her energy, and then 5% for each rune after. This ward can last for one hour.
Equipment
Hellfire Blade
A sword created from the fire and brimstone of Hell, this weapon acts as a link between the real world and that of the hellish underworld, capable of unleashing its otherworldly flames to devour all life around it. It was said to have been crafted by the formidable materials of Hellstone and Hell Steel, which are similar to their real world counterparts, but a lot more durable, including a natural resistance to the fires of Hell itself. Hell Steel has a near immunity resistance to heat, so makes a great ingredient to forge into the sharp blade of the Hellfire weapon. The weapon was built into a total length of 5', with a one foot grip, and a 4' remaining being a double-edged blade. The pommel is wrapped in the tough skin of some hellish beast that is just as resistant to the supernatural flames, allowing for a nice grip. The nut at the end is guarded by a small jagged ring, with a dark red jewel sitting in its center. Looking closely at the jewel, one can get a glimpse into the pits of hell itself. The handguard is spiked towards the blade, having spans of five inches out to each side. Another jewel sits just at the base of the blade, acting as another conduit to the underworld. The blade is tinted red, though not from the heat, but as its natural hue. The blade is six inches wide and an inch thick, with the edges tapered to a fine point to give it weight behind its sharpness. The total weight of this weapon is ten pounds.
Now, if someone believes they can just pick up this weapon and wield it, they’ll be sadly disappointed. This weapon is a forbidden magical weapon that brings destruction both to its targets and its user. The weapon is always exerting out heat that is over one thousand degrees Fahrenheit, which only increases when it becomes active, so simply touching it will give someone a bad burn, unless they have heat resistances. Let’s say that the user does. Now, they have another obstacle to overcome: the destructive aura that flows from the sword. Because the weapon is an object of hell, normal mortals will instantly feel their life being drained. Life force is a favorite treat for the underworld forces, so continually holding onto it will bring the user closer and closer to death. But what happens if the user happens to be a demon or devil themselves? Then, they can wield the weapon like normal. Unfortunately, without the signature of its designated user imprinted into their souls, the weapon will turn dull and become just as helpful as a ten-pound club.
It calls to question how Trinity was capable of wielding this weapon in the first place. This weapon belonged to the Red Leviathan that once controlled Trinity, named Lotannia. Its existence became known during the clash between Trinity and her once they were separated with the help of Trinity’s allies. Lotannia was an outcast deity who had ties with the underworld, as implied due to wielding such an abyssal weapon, so having the power to control this blade isn’t that farfetched.
The only reason she isn’t affected by the weapon is due to the deity's signature bearing in Trinity's spirit. However, even with this in place, just holding onto the weapon in her hands every minute acts against her. She normally keeps this weapon put away in her pocket dimension, but lately she has been carrying it around casually. The reason she has been doing this is to help her body adapt to the “virus” that the sword inflicts on her body, and create a natural defense against it. Fortunately, this has been working to the point that the drain is insignificant at this point. But when she uses the weapon’s more potent abilities, such as spawning the flames of Hell itself, the drain increases, feeding on her stamina.
Hellfire Blade Abilities
This weapon, by its name, has the power to conjure the flames of hell itself. What are the flames of hell, you say? As the stories go, the flames of hell are capable of giving souls eternal pain. They bypass all physical barriers and lick at the soul with a hunger for life. This is true. However, if the blade was capable of manifesting the true power of Hellfire, it would be one of the most powerful, and dangerous weapons in the world. Unfortunately, its user must have the skill, understanding, and massive amounts of energy to be able to even perform such a feat. That is why Trinity can only use Hellfire at half of its potential, which is still feasibly a threat to those immediately around her.
Hellfire, thus, is fire with a supernatural element added to it, mainly divine. It burns with vibrant red hues with just a little orange coloring. Unlike normal fire, this fire does not need oxygen to survive. Merely the energy of both its user and the life in the environment. Hellfire spreads slower than normal fire because it attempts to feed off all the life energy within its immediate area before spreading toward other sources. But with the help of the user, the fire can be directed or spread as she sees fit. Hellfire burns a lot hotter than normal fire. Because it is a supernatural flame, it does not only burn the body, but it burns at the soul of a living creature, as well. A victim that experiences the pain of Hellfire will feel a greater pain due to the combined seering of their flesh and their soul. Hellfire isn’t as damaging to the soul as it is to the body, but it serves as a nice way of decreasing a person’s energy and focus, especially against armored foes due to bypassing physical barriers. Water will have a harder time putting out Hellfire, unless it’s a very large amount. Fortunately, magical water works against Hellfire as if it was normal fire, which may change depending on how powerful the fire and the water are from their users. Hellfire is also subject to defending against as long as the target has the means to fight it, such as magical defenses and offenses.
Hellfire left to spread easily spawns normal fire due to causing flammable objects to combust. However, Hellfire, once thrown onto the environment, only lasts for four posts before dispersing unless Trinity is continually fueling her energy to it. Because this is a taxing process, Trinity counts on the wild nature of her attacks to ignite the area enough to try for a damage-over-time tactic rather than trying to continuously inflict direct bursts of fire against her foes, especially if it’s a large number of them.
Because the blade recognizes Trinity as its owner, Trinity is fortunately immune to the effects of Hellfire, but not to normal fire itself.
Power Build Up
Using the Hellfire Blade requires a consistent usage from the user because the blade feeds off energy, which builds up the power of its flames. The more the user attacks with it, the stronger the flames and the bigger the output becomes when they’re conjured. In a minimum state, fire simply licks up and down the blade, giving a scorching touch to the sword’s swings. At this base level, anything that comes in contact with the sword that is combustive will instantly shoot to flames, such as someone’s clothing or just stabbing the sword into a tree. But as Trinity pours energy into the blade while using the blade’s more active abilities, the power output will scale, causing more fire to engulf the blade. Consequently, this causes the drain on Trinity’s stamina to scale, as well.
The weapon goes through three tiers, with tier one being its base tier, and the third tier being its strongest. The more energy that is invested over time in a battle, the greater the tier becomes until it reaches the third, in which, all its best abilities become available to Trinity, yet at the cost of a lot of her power. Trinity can choose not to ascend to the higher tiers simply by not using any of the blade’s abilities to allow the energy to dissipate, or by using a high caliber attack to exhaust all the built up energy, which will be listed below.
Tier One Techs
Hellfire Slash
By swinging the sword, Trinity releases a projectile of Hellfire that can travel up to fifty feet, shaped as a crescent that is the same size as the arc of the swing.
Line of Fire
Trinity stabs the blade into the ground, emitting a line of rising fire up to fifteen feet in a direction in front of her. The fire has a height of four feet and covers one foot in width. Even if the ground cannot be stabbed through, this attack still occurs.
Burning Punch
Trinity ignites her hand and forearm in Hellfire, then punches the arm at whatever her target is. The Hellfire is minor and also is meant to give a burning touch, thus it will disperse upon physical contact. An alternative use of this is placing the sword in a reverse grip, then igniting the wielding hand, punching at someone with the pommel erupted in hellfire. Another variation is using her foot, knee, or elbows instead.
Bursting Charge
Holding her sword in a reverse grip with the tip pointing behind her, Trinity can create a burst of momentum from a small explosion of the Hellfire to shoot her in a quick dash up to ten feet. In fact, she can point the sword in any direction to alter her velocity in whatever direction she wishes.
Tier Two Techs (requires using six Tier One Techs to ascend to this tier)[
Hellfire Sphere
Generates a ball of Hellfire that is one foot in diameter. Can be launched up to fifty feet before exploding, damaging anyone within a two foot radius. Trinity can cause the ball to explode prematurely by will.
Pillar of Flames
Pressing the tip of the sword against the ground, Trinity releases a flamethrower toward the ground, which creates an explosive force that rides her into the air up to twenty feet, though she can control the height under this range. As she ascends, fire shoots underneath her like a rocket taking off the ground, damaging anyone who gets within a two-foot range of her.
Ignited Bullrush
A stronger version of the Bursting Charge. Trinity swirls a torrent of flames around her body, then is propelled forward by an explosive force up to twenty feet, bashing into anything in her way while leaving a line of flames behind her. She can direct her motion in many other directions as variations.
Flaming Wave
A stronger vesion of Line of Fire. The distance is increased to twenty five feet, the height up to ten feet, and the width increased to three feet.
Hellfire Breathe
This move does not originate from Trinity’s mouth as the title implies, but instead it emits a flamethrower up to twenty feet from her sword. Due to the cone shape, the fire spreads as the distance increases, able to effect a width at max range up to five feet.
Wall of Fire
Trinity creates a barrier of fire that is five feet long, ten feet high, and two feet thick in a given direction within her line of sight by stabbing her blade downward in front of herself. It creates a rising torrent of flames that don’t stop movement, but instead slows it, along with burning anyone who gets into its range. Disperses after one post.
Exhaust Tech – Eruption
Concentrating the Hellfire around Trinity in a spherical shape, she causes it to explode, knocking back and damaging anyone within five feet of her. This technique exhausts all the built up energy in the sword, reverting the sword back to tier one. In addition, the required number of techs for tier two are reset.
Tier Three Techs (requires using six Tier Two techs)
Hell’s Legion
Igniting the blade in a surging whirlwind of flames, Trinity swings her sword around in designated directions, throwing Hellfire in a five-foot radius around her. Great for turning the area around her into a burning ring. As an variation of this move, she can spin herself around on the ground or in the air to create a wild shower of Hellfire.
Sun Sphere
Trinity creates a sphere of fire that is three feet in diameter. She can then either move it to where ever she wishes within thirty feet and explode it, damaging anyone within five feet of it, or she can attack it herself and cause it to explode in the direction she chooses as a close to medium range attack.
Devil’s Sword
A construct of Hellfire is made on the blade, and extends up to ten feet. Acting as an extension of the sword, Trinity can swing it in one direction, which, on contact, causes all the fire to explode and lay waste to whatever is within range. The construct also comes with concussive force.
Hell Shield
A stronger version of wall of fire. Unlike the weaker version, this now acts as a true physical and supernatural shield. It spreads up to thirty feet feet, is twenty feet high, and is five feet thick. This barrier lasts for three posts, though can be penetrated by the right offenses.
Exhaust Tech – Hell’s Maw
Trinity unleashes an unbelievable amount of Hellfire in a wild surge around her body, which then takes the shape of a dragon’s open mouth. She chooses a direction and is thrown toward it, able to move up to one hundred feet at a very fast speed. Anyone caught in her path is struck with a train-like force, along with ignited by the Hellfire itself. A variation of this technique is releasing the ten foot diameter without Trinity being propelled forward, firing it as a projectile instead. Its power decreases as it reaches its maximum range due to Trinity not being with it. This technique exhausts all of the sword’s energy, reverting it back to tier one. Because it takes a considerable amount of time and energy to even get to tier three, Trinity will likely not be able to reach this tier again without rest.
HellFire Armor
This is a special ability that Trinity can use with her sword. It requires 50% of her energy, but after spending this, her sword transforms and morphs over her body. An aerodynamic red shell fits to the figure of her body, having a scaled-like formation of plates. Upon her head, a helmet with sharp appendages, one on each side, point backwards. The only thing that shows on her face are two glassy-looking orbs for eyes that look rather menacing, as if it was frowning. Her hands gain claws and her shows become sharp-looking in texture, including talons that can be erected from the toes. The armor can take quite some punishment, as its nature is similar to that of powered suits. However, equally powerful attacks will eventually take it down.
In this armor, Trinity can shoot Hellfire from her body. The Hellfire is not as powerful when used with it, but she mainly uses it to supplement physical attacks. She has access to all the Tier One techniques that she can do with her sword. In addition, she uses the fire to boost her mobility, such as flying, skating around the ground as if she had skates, and increasing the speed of her attacks. It's not uncommon to see her attack with Hellfire enveloped around her arm or leg to give them an extra spark. She can last in this armor for ten minutes. Any longer, and the fire begins burning at her skin, along with drastically draining away both her energy and stamina.
Leviathan Armor
Trinity's skin-tight red suit that covers over most of her body is made of the tough skin of a sea dragon, normally called a leviathan. Her gloves that extend up to her biceps are made of the same material. Though leviathan skin is normally scaled, Trinity's armor comes from a special leviathan that can move from land to sea whenever it wishes. Thus, its skin is made for water travel and moving along the rough terrain of land. The material is incredibly flexible for its thickness, allowing Trinity to make it into armor that provided just enough defense to decrease damage from attacks while allowing her to keep her dexterity. The armor has has a glossy dull sheen that gives it the resemblance of shiny leather. The armor is just as powerful as scaled armor, and is resistant to blows, slashes, and stabs. The armor is penetrable, but its thickness decreases the effectiveness. However, something designed for hacking through armor will move right through her suit. The armor also has minor magic resistance, so shaves some damage off magical force. The armor is enchanted with a rune on the back that repairs damage to the armor over a time period of one hour as a passive ability. Another effect of the rune is that it increased the protection to the vital areas, such as the heart, by giving a higher density to lessen force to those areas.
Her collar, shoulder pads, gauntlets, and boots are made from the bones of the same leviathan that makes up her suit. The bone is highly resistant, capable of sustaining a large amount of punishment before it shows any cracks.
Juiraya War Fan
This weapon is four foot long, closed up in a seven pound handle made of durable magic oak. The folds of the fan, when open, are made of a paper-like substance that seems resistant to tearing. Painted upon the folds is the image of a flying red dragon. The edges of the folds are bladed, giving the fan a lethal touch to its swings. A special feature of this weapon is that Trinity can stretch the folds all the way around to the point that both ends touch each other, connecting to create a circular large disc, which she can then throw as a bladed saw of death, usually throwing by the small hole in the center. The weapon normally returns back around to her by supernatural means, which is through the use of runic magic.
She obtained this weapon from defeating a former mentor. After that, she absorbed her mentor's soul into the weapon as punishment for losing to her. However, after she was free from the Red Leviathan's control, she released her mentor to give her long lasting peace.
Dagger-Needles
Trinity carries multiple seven inch needles that, up to ten, have the ability to transform into daggers of the same length. She can transform them each by will. Popular places of placing these is in pouches on her belt, in her boots, in her gloves, and even in her hair, sometimes having them appear as hair pins. Each needle is made of enchanted steel, granting it durability and strength. She uses the needles as lock-picking utensils, on the side.
Sharp Hair
There's another unique use of Trinity's hair. She can weave out up to ten feet of it to create a length of sharp wire, employing it however she wants. Given its steel-like strength, the wire is pretty good for uses such as choking someone or performing other grasping maneuvers. Its thin size makes it pretty hard to see, as well, acting as a nice tool for setting up traps.
Vicious Vice
A katana with a 2' 5" long blade given to her as a gift by Maria. This sword is a magical weapon that is more resilient than the normal katana, so will not chip or break against dense objects so quickly. It's special ability is being able to absorb one ability that is used against her, and store it for use whenever she wants. The ability has to have traveled through space to get to her, and the ability is then activated by Trinity's will. She can absorb one ability at a time, in which she cannot absorb another until the current one is expended. The weapon can crack if it attempts to absorb too many attacks in time, or tries to absorb a very powerful attack, usually the type that are meant to be finishers. As for the scale of attacks it's capable of consuming, it normally can absorb abilities that take up to four posts to conjure. To use the ability of this sword, it requires 10% of her energy per use, but does not need to spend any energy if she's releasing a stored ability.
Celestial Claymore
This is the very weapon Trinity use to use when she was known as Serenity back at her homeland. The handguard and handle are a mixture of white and blue colors, with the blade being a polished gray of enchanted metal. This weapon has control over the Celestial waters of the Celestia plane, and thus makes it the complete opposite of the Hellfire Blade. However, she enjoys using the Hellfire Blade more than her former weapon, so has neglected learning its abilities. So far, the only thing she can manage with the weapon is throwing around water and freezing it. But hasn't put in the work to learn its other intricacies.
