You should read this if you want to recolor my doll.
I wanted to set some things straight about my dolls because I am tired of the inquiries to collaborate.

The initial design is based on my mother's struggle with Breast Cancer in 2008-2013. Alas, the cure for the cancer almost took her life- the remaining breast tissue became necrotic and was causing constant Cellulitis infections, which she was in-and-out of the hospital for throughout 2012. The doctors told her that the infections were coming quicker, and more severe, and there was a chance that they would not be able to fight the Cellulitis off again. In response to this threat to her life, in 2013 she decided to have both of her breasts removed, taking the necrotic tissues out. It was a battle that we lost... but we won the war.

The fact is, my mother is a strong survivor and I wanted to tribute her strength and resilience in fighting an awful, potentially life-ending disease.

In early 2015, my mother had three strokes within a couple weeks. She's made a partial recovery- she can drive a car again, which is beyond what is expected due to the severity and how long it went untreated when she had them.

This was the third version of my doll.

In 2011, my husband was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. It was caught well before it had the chance to do much- almost pre-Stage 1. He would have 5 years cancer-free this year in late February. Then, June of 2015, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Biliary Duct Cancer- it was the result of a disease of the common billiary duct that was not pinpointed until we started the procedures to diagnose the cancer. It's a different gene profiling than the remission Testicular Cancer so the two are not synonymous. He unfortunately passed away in April of 2016.

I submitted this along with the original pink because they were important to me to have. It is the second version of my doll.

When I submitted the tribute to my mom surviving her strokes, I had a fourth version recolored. My grandfather passed away in 2007, before all of these other events, from pancreatic cancer. He didn't know he had it, and before we could blink we had to accept it would take him from us.

All of these events make my doll very, very precious to me. These are not just Gaia equipable items- they are events that have impacted my life, and the lives of my loved ones. Some people believe that these things won't happen to them. But they do. Every day different people get news that they have to start a fight, or fight again, or have the weight to bear of a loved one fighting while they sit helpless and can only watch the struggle.

To be absolutely clear, I will not share these with anyone. If you want to give me a Rainbow Ticket to recolor to your specifications so they exist on the site then this is your choice, but I will not share copies of this doll with you (which, forms of that are not allowed, anyway, because the item doesn't exist yet). The name and the description will be of my choice, too- the only choices you would have would be the color, and even that is up in the air because I do not want embarrassing recolors of my doll floating around.

My stance on my dolls is non-negotiable, so please stop asking to collaborate unless you are willing to donate a Rainbow Ticket. These are near and dear to my heart and I am going to continue to be selfish about how they are recolored.
