The Volturi had been called to the area, as England, invaded certain parts of Normandy, in their on-going conflict with the French. Of course, Vampires were behind the attack, and they were creating chaos, and uprooting all the ethics the Trio hold dear.
The clan never anticipated collecting another member, but during a particularly bloody battle, Elezar, once part of the Volturi clan, sensed a very powerful ability close by.
Elezar explained to the Trio, that this ability, already in play as a human, enabled the person who held it, to always be able escape and be virtually undiscoverable when hidden, an important trait if needed in a losing battle.
Aro, immediately wanted this power in his collection and instructed Elezar to find this human with the extraordinary ability and transform it into a Vampire.
Only by using his senses could Elezar find Corin. She was caught-off guard, nobody had ever been able to 'find' her before. She submitted completely too him, out of fear, and curiousity, and was led to her immortality.
Once changed, she became a powerful alli to the Volturi, as her powers had grown considerably after her change, although her abilities were not of course, as useful as Jane's of Alec's.
