Recent Zombie intro
Bernard quietly shut the roof access door behind him. He had just accidentally stumbled on a group of shufflers as he looked for supplies, but luckily they hadn't noticed him. Looking around he could see the only way to escape was to jump on one of the nearby buildings fire escapes. He walked over to the nearest edge of the building and looked down and, lo and behold, there was a group of 5 more shufflers in the alleyway.
"Let's try door #2 then, shall we?" He muttered to himself as he turned around and headed to the opposite alley way. There were only two on this side. Slinging his M1 Garand off of his back he took aim. He generally wouldn't do something so careless, but he had just managed to snag a silencer for it on his trip today and wanted to see it in action.
"You're dead" He said sighting one zombie between the eyes and pulling the trigger. The bullet went clear through and all that could be heard was the sound of its body as it fell. As the other one looked at its companion he took aim. When it looked up he squeezed the trigger again. Another clean shot."And your dead." He said angerly as he watched the body crumple. He then slung the weapon back over his shoulder and checked the distance between the fire escape and the roof top. Scratching his head, his sandy brown hair dirty and gritty from sweat, he began to think about whether he could make the jump or not.
That's when he heard it. "HEY! Hey, are you alive!?" A voice yelled out. Looking around he saw a red mass waving in the wind from one of the hotel room windows across the street. After looking at it for a bit he was able to establish it was indeed a person, and not just a flag or another unfortunate victim of this situation. Then he heard scratching coming from the roof door. "Did I lock that...no!" He wondered aloud and then remembered he had forgotten to lock it in his haste. He quickly ran back from the ledge and jumped at the fire escape, grabbing hold with both hands to the railing and swinging himself over. He began to climb, engrossed in the immediate need to escape from the sight of his hunters.
